    Our next 5 games are
    Burnley
    Liverpool
    Fulham
    Sheffield Utd
    Arsenal

    All tough games
I’m looking forward to watching a game that we expect to win and we win easily
    You must be joking

If you think a run of games that includes Fulham and Sheffield Utd doesn't include easy games, then we must be struggling to stay up this season

I like this but I think VDB will be deeper.

    Must win game.
Believe me I know we can't win the title with this squad but the longer we stay in it the better.
    2~1 United.

Definitely the sort of banana skin we have encountered before just when we think we’re doing well.

Could easily be a loss or a draw. Burnley have proved they’re capable of holding or beating us in recent years.

Hopefully we will be mentally and tactically focused and not be looking too much at the Liverpool game. One game at a time-we need to approach this as a cup final

Telles for Shaw no real drop in quality there.

DVB for Pogba - many have wanted to see this for a while.

Bailly for Lindelof if the former is fit.

Three natural replacements. It could have been worse.
Ole trusts Fred as a more experienced replacement for Pogba.

Genuine question how are they hard games? Only Liverpool should worry us and even then I think we can get something. We have to be looking at 10-12 points from these games.

After so many false downs since Fergie retired, countless disappointments, hell, even this season we've already been knocked out of the CL and LC. The pessimistic person I am, I'm fully expecting us to drop points.

If this reported injury news is true, I’d go with:

    DDG

    AWB
    TUANZEBE
    MAGUIRE
    TELLES

    MATIC
    VDB
    BRUNO

    RASHFORD
    CAVANI
    MARTIAL

SUBS: Henderson, Williams, Fred, McTominay, Mata, Greenwood, James

Biggest loss will be Pogba for his defensive heading from set pieces. Also tempted to start McTominay for his height but he played 90 mins vs Watford and think we’ll need him to start vs Liverpool.

(Note: If Bailly and Lindelof are out, we are a Maguire injury away from a full blown defensive crisis plus we know Tuanzebe is made of glass).

1-2: (Burnley to score from a set piece) Martial and Bruno (pen) for United

I'm sure it'll be back to the slothery pairing at CB which will see us playing 10+ yards deeper and that's not ideal as Burnley will be sitting deep themselves. I think Matic might start and I reckon Ole will keep Cavani to bring on, so Pogba will start on the left.

There was some news earlier that Pogba,Shaw and Lindelhof are all injured so don't expect them to start.

I never want to see Lindelhof and Maguire at CB against the likes of Wood,Barnes,Mee etc.
Hope Bailly is fit. He's strong enough to deal with their physical game

Think we’ve done better at Turf Moor than OT against these lot in recent times, so coupling that with our good away form should hopefully see us get the 3 points.

Would be great to put a bit more pressure on Liverpool before Sunday.

Assuming Lindelof, Shaw and Pogba are out it’ll be a tough game. I’d also not risk Bailly if he’s not 100%, we need him vs Liverpool.

Burnley will sit deep and try to make us break them down. I don’t think we need Fred & McTominay for it, in fact I wouldn’t play either.

We need to be playing Liverpool having won this imo.

    De Gea
    AWB - Axel - Maguire - Telles
    Matic - Donny
    Mata - Bruno - Rashford
    Cavani

Liverpool game is 5 days after this so no need to rest players. Every Premier league game is a big game now.
    I'd like to see

    De Gea
    Bissaka - Lindelof - Maguire - Shaw
    Fred - Matic
    Rashford - Bruno - Martial
    Cavani

There will be so little football played in this game in between the systematic fouling, diving and time wasting from Burnley from the first minute.

“We'll have the boys ready again. Some of these [that played against Watford] will play probably, and there'll be a few new fresh legs as well that managed to get a rest tonight. The staff are doing an amazing job. They look after the players fantastically. But the players are looking after themselves as well. Don't forget that it's hard times for everyone, difficult times for everyone, but going home, recovering, getting ready for the next games is the main thing right now.”

No mention of injuries to Shaw or Pogba.

    Banana skin?

    De Gea
    AWB - Axel - Bailly - Shaw(if fit)/Telles
    Matic - Donny/Fred
    Rash- Bruno - Martial
    Cavani

We need CB's who are good in the air. That means Lindelof and Bailly should be benched.

Tuanzebe and Maguire hopefully. Or play with 3 at the back and play Scotty there.

Can't see Donny starting but yeah I agree it's no big deal missing those three for Burnley as long as it's not long term.
Ole probably does trust Fred more than VDB, and for good reason, but I was thinking Ole would want to save Fred for the Liverpool game which is only a few days after Burnley.

Tuanzebe isn't very good either. If we are worried about Burnley's forwards, then Lindelof and Maguire are the pair to go with.

4/5 games are against teams that are 11th, 16th, 18th and 20th in the table. If these are classified as hard games, then we are in trouble.

I've been really positive about all our games in this good run, but for some reason I don't feel good about this game at all.

    Just win

Burnley's entire tactic involves lofting the ball to Wood and Barnes, have them back into defenders, throw themselves to the floor, and win a free kick that they can hoof into the box.

Refs should be wise to it, but they fall for it every week.

Feel like Fred and McTominay would be overkill for this game. We need better possession players to break through them, maybe VDB or Matic if Pogba isn't fit.

    Would prefer:

    DDG
    AWB - Bailly - Maguire - Shaw
    Pogba - Fred
    Rashford - Bruno - Martial
    Cavani

Alternatively, swap out Cavani for Matic, play Pogba further up the pitch with Martial on top.

Kind of wish this hadn't been moved. Less rest and anything but a win shifts huge pressure into US going into Liverpool game. Without it the pressure is all on pool who aren't in great form and they'd know that not winning would be seen as big for us with a game in hand.

Oh well, it really is a must win in my opinion. Would ramp up pressure and could actually go to anfield looking to go 6 clear rather than 3 behind.
