His body language wasn't great tonight. Playing him there robs him of most of his tools.

Not for much longer though, because I'm still absolutely convinced for no reason that Diallo is going to light up the team
I remember dreaming about Tosic and Ljajic destroying the Premier League.

Wasn't that far off. I'm sure Tosic had great games in the Russian Premier League.

"Started a new job in June 2013. Sat in front of a girl I fell in love with straight away. We became friends during Moyes and LVG season 1. Started seeing each other start of LVG season 2. Moved in together towards end of Jose season 1. Got engaged after Ole season 1.5. At the minute we are in middle of buying our first house and are expecting our first child together.

United have never been top of league the entire time I've known her. At full time I don't know why, but I started jumping around singing glory glory as I stripped butt naked and jumped onto couch while pelvically thrusting my bollocks back and forth with my fiancée staring at me as though I had gone insane.

I know it's not even half way point of season, and I'm not even contemplating winning it in May, but I am just so happy to finally be competing again. All of the events in my life that have happened since we last went in top really makes it sink in for me how long it's been. Attack Attack Attack"

Our defence was great all game, our midfield was OK first half and great the second half. Our attack was mediocre throughout.

Now this may sound a bit negative but earlier in the season we had the attack bailing out the defence and now it's the opposite. It shows great team spirit and ability to play as a team.

It also shows we've got levels to go if we start playing well all over the pitch.

Now smash Liverpool!

Its frustrating to see our players missing chances when we are leading by a single goal and not killing the game.

I was really worried that Burnley will score from a set piece (they nearly did)

Anyway can ride the high seeing our position in the table (waited far too long for that)

I genuinely thought we’d feck it up by dropping points.

Great performance by Pogba, I’ve been screaming it for so long Pogba and Bruno in the team makes us so much better, especially the creativity Pogba gives when he gets the ball in our own half our even in defensive positions on the edge of our box.

Very happy. This weekend going to be a rollercoaster

Genuine 10/10 performance from Pogba tonight. Its a big IF but IF Pogba can keep up his form since Raiola’s last comments we have as good a chance as any team
Pogba is finally delivering the sort of performances we bought him for but as you say he has to keep it up. Tonight he was so so at best in the first half but much, much better second half and scored a great goal. He still wont stay at United and still hasnt responded properly to his agents remarks, and I still wont be sorry to see him go.

Not the greatest game to watch due to Burnley's tactics. Really solid at the back with Bailly and Maguire though, lets just hope he can stay fit for a while as they complement each other really well. Pogba was excellent, tricky for the front 4 with very little space up top. That said, we should have had a couple more. Solid performance though with De Gea not having to make a save.

We've done really well to grind out these wins in the league recently despite the likes of Rashford Martial Greenwood and even Bruno all looking out of sorts.

Yeesh, now that I think about it, I met my wife and mother of a one year old in May 2014, I guess the same applies to me. She's always had United gear to wear, but shes never seen us competitive in the league or challenge in the Champions League.

I'll enjoy the ride for now, and hope it continues.

Great win. Our attack worries me however. All three very poor tonight. I hope they can snap out of it and back into some sort of form.

It's good to see we can control a game and grind out a win when not playing that well, as opposed to in the past where it just descends into a random mess and even when we do win no one is able to explain how or why.

Well, except that we just randomly went to pieces in the last 5-10 minutes. Maguire was suddenly 20 yards out of position and panicking all the time after spending the rest of the game being completely composed. Like someone gave him too much spinach. If we had Lindelof in place of Bailly at the back the last two league games I genuinely think we could have ended with 2 points instead of 6. Not that BAilly is amazing but he's just good at throwing himself at things or in the way of things.

Need to stop this Rashford on the right nonsense. If there's someone better to put on the left in his place then fine, but you don't play your best forward out of position to put someone else in their eposition who is a) then also playing out of position, and b) useless. It makes absolutely no fecking sense. If MArtial isn't cutting it, play Cavan iand put Greenwood on the right, don't start fecking around with the players who actually can do their hjob to shoehorn in the ones who can't

Could have easily been red.
Honestly not seeing it.

I've never seen someone sent off for this kind of challenge?

When they've jumped into the tackle maybe or if they've gone in high and rolled over the top of the ball, but he literally plays the ball then just catches the player with the follow through. It's a foul but there's nothing especially dangerous or wreckless about it, and the fact it's even a foul is more bad luck than anything else.

If that tackle is close to a red, then we should post Rojo to Argentina or wherever he wants to go, tomorrow.

The one that worries me the most is Rashford.

I could be totally wrong, but I think his head is so much into his other calling, to work for others, that he is becoming tired. While many footballers leave it to their PR company or whatsoever to take care of things, I think Rashford is involved personally on a very big scale in its day to day things.
Maybe that is taking a toll on him. It is an extreme physical as well as emotional investment. It is not easy too.

Maybe I am worried about nothing and it is just a blip in form.

Rode our luck towards the end, edge of the seat stuff! I wish we could score a second goal to finish teams off. Thought we played really well from just after the Shaw incident until the last 10 mins.We definitely seem more secure with Bailly in defence.
Long time since we’ve been top. What I wouldn’t give for a result this weekend!

I think it is more about that he has played too many minutes without sufficient rest and more importantly he played out-of his best position because the team is setup to accommodate either pogba (Vila and man city games) or cavani (today).

Really enjoyed that performance, despite Burnley doing their best to frustrate the life out of me. Pogba was absolutely sublime, since the Raiola outburst he's been a model professional and a real asset to his team, it's very easy for a wantaway player to just stick his head down and sulk but Pogba's giving it his all and will likely leave a lot more amicably than we might've expected.

Matic, Shaw, Bailly and Maguire were all excellent. Maguire will always be a victim of his price tag, in that he has to do a lot more than others to earn praise but if you asked me if I'd pay that fee again then I'd do it in a heartbeat, I think he's a proper player and I'm really glad we've got him. The officiating was abysmal tonight and we should feel robbed of that goal, had that been allowed I imagine we would've scored another few goals. Bit sloppy at the end but we looked gassed after controlling the game for a solif 70 minutes, not many teams can deliver that sort of aerial bombardment and they didn't really ever actually trouble us.

Top of the league, however temporary it may turn out to be, should be a tangible sign that we're on a good track. Added bonus that we still have Diallo and Pellistri to come and give us some actual wing options on the right, they could give us some much needed freshness in the second half of the season.

I'm glad we won but wow - how was that a foul from Maguire?? He jumped first and the defender dropped like a sack of.....

Burnley players constantly shouting at the ref for a foul throughout the entire match it was almost embarrassing.

United worst player tonight was Gary Neville. Feckin blind, patently obvious that Luke Shaw got a touch on the ball, kept ranting on about missing the ball and following through, at the very worst a yellow, but not for Gazza, who even thought that he can see why that biased turd Friend disallowed Harry Mcguires absolute cracking header of a goal.
Come on Gaz get to grip United are your team as well.

Best thing about tonight: we had a chance to take advantage of someone's slip up and did so. So often in recent years when those around us have stumbled, we have not had it in us to take advantage. The pressure of needing to win has seen us get stage fright. Not tonight. Never once did I feel like we were going to bottle it. The mentality of this team has transformed. Gotta salute the manager for that.

These are strange times indeed. I'll enjoy it.

And well done Ole'... Still have massive doubts, but enjoy this moment.

Excellent win against a real shithouse team, and with a ref giving Burnley nearly every decision going. Pogba, Maguire and Bailly were excellent. First half was ridiculous, thanks to the ref and VAR, second half we dominated, just had to hang on late on. Roll on Sunday!
Sums the game up nicely for me.

Now...

I hate Burnley. They're thugs. But now they're diving, too. At one point, they have a player rolling around holding his head... after a shot between the shoulders. He got up pretty quick when the ref didn't buy it.

That said... Kevin Friend is no Friend of ours. Aside from letting so much of Burnley's sh!thousersy slide, I'm not even sold that Shaw warranted a foul, much less a yellow, much less a review for red, when he clearly got a good shot on the ball. And the Maguire goal? But I've already mentioned the diving... ah, well.

All that aside, Burnley's record this year is solely down to their inability to score goals. They never seriously threatened us today. They defended quite well. Sure, we made stupid passes, missed sitters, but credit where it's due.

As has been stated above, Bruno Pogba saving Ole's job.

Seriously, though, Ole set us up for success, Rashford and Martial lack confidence and Cavani was maybe a wee bit rusty. And the mentality of this team to come out stronger in the second half is so very nice.

Looking forward to a vulnerable Liverpool.
