The jammiest of goals. Made my day it did.
After getting battered for 90 minutes. One of the sweetest wins ever.

Though I do have a soft spot for Hyypia's 4th minute red card at Old Trafford in 2003, as well as Mascherano shouting his way into the dressing room in 2008.

Would feel a bit worried about our lack of counter attack if we played Fred, McTominay, Bruno, Pogba, Cavani & Rashford. Got a slight feeling that Greenwood or even James could be selected to start.

A draw would be ok. But I think we’ll go for the win here. 1-2 United

Shitting bricks already. I'd take a draw if offered right now, but I hope we do them on the break with their makeshift defence. Should be scoring at least one against that backline. Sitting back would be the smart thing but I really hope we don't completely surrender possession and invite them to whip in balls. Hope he takes a page out of Hasenhuttl's book and doubles up on their fullbacks to restrict service into our box.

With or without Martial's injury, I think Ole will go with:

    --------DDG
    AWB-Bailly-Maguire-Shaw
    ------Fred-McSauce
    --Bruno-----Pogba
    -----Cavani-Rashford

I hope Lindelof doesn't come back in, although this game probably suits him more than most.

It's cliche but form really is out the window here. There's a chance they smash us which would be huge for both teams' confidence.

Free hit. Attack their high line for fun.

Bruno / Pogba through balls incoming

If Liverpool fail to win, they could risk dropping out of the top 4

I think James will be the out-of-left-field selection, to be honest.

Solskjaer will want his pace to get in behind Liverpool’s high line and rate his defensive work in closing down Robertson quickly.

    Don’t rule it out.

Some playersneed to be checked on before starting XI can be discussed. However, I guess it will be DeGea and infront of him Bissaka, Maguire, Bailly and Shaw. McTominay and Fred seems to take defensive duties now when they both started on bench. Fernandes and Rashford are taking other position. The other two places should be Martial (if fit) and James. James would be ideal against one of their fullback.

Pogba, despite great perfomences last game, should be on the bench for tactical purpose. Cavani goes in the starting XI if Martial isn't fit.

Imagine winning on Sunday and going six points clear at the top of the table.

    Just picture it.

I honestly don't remember a United vs Liverpool game with this much significance in my lifetime... maybe 08/09 when they slapped us around at Old Trafford? Regardless, this is not necessarily a must win, but it's a massive game.

Fekin hell I'm already nervous. I'll be a ghost come Sunday. I remember being nervous before Juanfield and hopefully we produce a performance like that.
It doesn't have to be perfect, just get the win, just see them going mad, Klopp losing it after the game coming up with a ton excuses, all those Liverpool darlings in the media going mental about it. It would be a huge huge win.

Saying all that draw would be a nice result too. As it was said its a free hit. Just go out there and prove your worth. It will be one hell of a game but we're a team full of confidence now. If someone told me in the beginning of the season we will go to Anfield top of the league I would just laugh. And we are here now. Exciting times!

We must be confident. We’re the most in form team in the country, our away form Is outrageous, and they are on a recent poor run.

Go for the jugular. Huge game and we shouldn’t be afraid of them. They should now be afraid of the league leaders!

The question on everyone's minds. Should Diallo be given the captaincy on his debut?

I think we'll win no idea why though. Taking away top of the league buzz I'll go 2-2 with lots of controversy

Liverpool are untouchable at Anfield in the league. But this is the first time in forever where they may play with a bit of trepidation. Lose and there is a 6 point gap with City roaring up behind them.

But for us, nothing is expected of us here. Worst case scenario we are level on points again and we reset.

Do not play this game with fear. Just go for it.

We need to attack them, no point sitting back. They don’t have a defence.

Yeah, pretty much this. I'm going to be a negative, awful, pessimistic bastard and say that I don't think we'd be anywhere near a title challenge in a normal season but Covid and the congestion has been a great equaliser - hence the likes of Everton, Villa, and Southampton being still up there. And both Liverpool and City are overall significantly better teams in normal circumstances.

However. The circumstances aren't normal, so we should just go there and play without pressure. I fully expect a straightforward 2-0 defeat but anything is a bonus and we have little to lose.

I'm pretty sure this will be the starting 11, if Martial is fit he'll start over Cavani for his superior hold-up play.

Should be a great contest. Something not quite working with the lineup vs. Burnley, maybe it can be addressed and Rashford + Cavani will prove more dangerous. Top of the league! First time we've been top after New Year's since 2013 (said on the TV).

The 3 point cushion is exactly what we needed to take some pressure off.

We can lose now and still be level on points (game in hand). The players won't feel so much weight on their shoulders going into the game.

Liverpool in the last few years have probably had better big game experience....but we have momentum on our side.

    Lets do this boys
Yeah I think there is more pressure on them than us, would rip your arm off for a point and then win the next game to pile it on before they play the following day

I'll take a 0-0 draw so boring it'll make that Chelsea game a few months ago look like Con Air by comparison

I'f I am not mistaken, they haven't lost at home since 2017. Imagine now going there and win it.
I suppose a point is somewhat all right, but if are to truly make a statement we will win this

Martial and Rashford are horribly out of form right, but they usually produce the goods against Liverpool.

I think Ole will go with the same team as tonight minus Matic for Fred.

Can't allow myself to contemplate it until we are winning 2-0 in the 94th minute then will get excited about the prospect

Early morning drinking this looks like to calm the nerves. I really don't know how this game will go but let's hope we are on the right side of it

Draw isn't the worst result in the world

Pogba Will start for sure, he’s been unplayable for some time now.
