Isn't he going to Miami? I'm one of his biggest fans and I wish him well!

We don't half stab our own in the back
he was a good solid player for us, won a Cup with the Women's team and has now gone to Inter Miami
How many trolls on here have had a career like that...sad people

Fraud is an overused word in football but Phil Neville really is a total and utter fraud.
Thick as pig shit. Not surprised he was a crap manager. Watch us hire him as a coach now
This is a problem in a small minority of our fan base. Genuinely do not see why you guys are hating on him, or the likes of GNev, Keane, Scholes, Carrick, Fletcher, Evra etc etc. Aside from Giggs for obvious reasons, the venom spouted about our legends/great servants is an absolute disgrace. It’s like we complete forget everything they did on the pitch once they step out of Carrington for the final time. Embarrassing tbh.

Title needs changing - he has left to take on a new role, not been sacked.

If that’s the bar you’re setting for him then that says it all really.
What does it say? Phil had 505 PL appearances and 6 titles, and as a manager got the women’s team to a World Cup semifinal. Unfortunately, it says more about you that you think he is a “fraud”.

I can't think what he has done to rile anyone up either. He's been far more successful in management than any ex-United player of his generation, apart from Ole, of course. He doesn't criticise United and when he's been on as a pundit, he's done alright. He's certainly never made a fool of himself the way Gary does every opportunity he has.

Has any of the legends bar Giggs ever shagged their brother’s wife? No? So yeah, not embarrassing to dislike Giggs.

Anyway, not gonna derail this thread more since it’s about Phil.

Phil was a fantastic player for us. I particularly enjoyed his partnership with Verón not long before the latter was sold; they seemed to bring out the best in each other. He seems a really nice guy as well. He was awful in his early days of punditry, but I suspect that was down to nerves rather than lack of intelligence as he’s got much better over time.

I’m like to think that being a Good Chap and One Of Us isn’t enough to get someone a job on United’s coaching staff...

I didn't realise folk had such strong feelings about Phil Neville. He's a bit dull as a pundit, but I'd say it's a lack of charisma rather than a lack of knowledge, he seems to do his research and know his stuff, more so than the old guard who seem to just wing it. He was a solid utility player for us for many successful years, captained Everton, did a good job managing the Lioness'. A very good career, and still very young as far as coaches go.

He's obviously and quite clearly not a "fraud".

As a manager he is most definitely a fraud. He was a decent enough player but that’s totally irrelevant to the point.

Don’t understand the hate here. I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with Phil a few times regarding deliveries my company were handling for him at his house a while back.

Very nice and down to earth guy. Not an ounce of arrogance.

Wish him all the best over in Miami.
