We can't go into next season with this guy in the starting lineup. Just too mild tempered and without that fire in his belly.

Yes and if he is helping “The Team” score goals by passing, taking up positions, holding the ball up that wins games. Do you get it?
It’s kinda silly to only judge a player on goals scored or assists when so much goes in to the game to make a team successful. People used to say players like Carrick and Modric weren’t good becuase they didn’t have enough assists, does that mean they aren’t/ werent good players Doing their bit for the team?

No one is saying Martial has been a revelation this season, he’s actually been quite average, but recently looked like he’s coming in to for, but there is no doubt we perform better with him in the team than without him.

As for the pressing may I suggest you maybe watch him more closely and how he organises our press.
Embarassing...hopeless

Brilliant defensive midfield performance for Fulham. His ability to break up attacks on the inside left position was fantastic

You are such an annoying poster. There's about two threads you camp in. The Martial and the Rashford one. One to praise and one to whinge.

And to be honest he really was shit today. As was Rashy when he came on.
He wasn’t wank? Rashford played five minutes and people are whining. One has scored almost three times the number the other has and gets three times the criticism.

Really annoyed in the moment around the 70 min mark where Shaw played an obvious ball to him and he just had no idea whatsoever, no reaction, nothing.
Sums him up really. There's a cracking player in there when he does come out.

Very poor game, he should be making runs from wide position. Barely gave them problem with and without ball.

I hope he gets a break.

I said he wasn't good. But neither is Rashford atm. Nor Greenwood. All of them give me headaches at this time. We need them firing and scoring during these crucial times.

2 goals in about 15 league games is a record Lingard will be proud of.

He's heading straight to probably his worst season with us and he has played all of it very close to the goal.

Needs 5 minutes to make a decision when he gets the ball.
Terrible.
Play James instead

Agreed. Martial was dreadful though. When Rashford has been shite lately, I’ve said it. When he’s been shite he’s generally been affecting games still. Martial hasn’t.

Look at the movement of Cavani and compare Martial to that. Cavani is light years ahead.

Martial is so reactive and not proactive.

I like Tony, he's one of our most gifted players. That said, if the first 11 is based purely on merit, he shouldn't be anywhere near it right now. He's been awful all season.

I don't know if it's a coaching thing or not but I can't really explain how all three of them can be in such poor form at the same time.

Spent the entire game jogging around the wing doing absolutely nothing. It was basically Shaw and a dead weight.

Cavani is what 10 years older than him? And have double the workrate. Shameful.

Not just the movement, which is understandable, given Cavani is a fantastic #9. But the work rate. You'll look bad next to a soon-to-be 34 year old running his socks off for 90 minutes if you haven't got it in you. Out of form is understandable, but no excuses for not giving everything.

He went from Mourinho holding him back to a great season last season but now it’s just becoming painful, our front 3 have been so hit and miss and below the standard yet he is standing out as the worst most weeks.

As I said before Mourinho was right about him(seeing him everyday) but I’m glad he wasn’t allowed get rid as we would mostly only have Willian anyway, I dislike Mourinho and like Martial but he is providing him right. He is 25 now this should be his prime yet he is going backwards

Not sure what he was doing second half
Passing to players not there
Turned his back on the ball and Shaw whilst in space where Shaw passed to him in a good position but because it wasn't to his feet he wasn't interested

He needs dropping
Maybe he's like this because we have a striker who's working off the ball and he has competition knowing he's not the guy who will play up top?

I think all three have been hampered by a pedestrian midfield pairing for large parts of the season. Greenwood is in and out and looks too desperate to score and making the wrong decisions. That and not really being a wide player.

Rashford has never looked fully fit all season and Martial looks slow for some reason or other. I don’t think moving their position every other game is helping Martial or Rashford.

Ryan Babel regen, flatters to deceive, he has all the talent but doesn’t know how to apply it.

He had 4 players marking him most times
Teams try to neutralise our left side as that is where most of our attacks come from
Martial form will come back...let’s support our players for once
