We don't win that game last season. Yeah we sat back a bit too much for my liking at the end and rode our luck, but we won, again.

Top of the league job done onto the next one.

What a weird game. We had quite a few players that played well yet we didn't play well enough. It was enjoyable but absolutely not enjoyable at all at the same time.

Big win.

I hate that too and at some point this needs to be addressed.

But before we go there let’s celebrate an important win. I’ll always want a 5-0 win, but isn’t there something even better with a win like this?
Well yeah Im hyped about winning of course :D Back to the top of the table!

I just wish more players were involved is all :)

We keep winning but it feels like half of our squad isn’t quite there. Rashford and Martial in particular are a level below where they were last season, Greenwood has had a rough season and isn’t offering a lot. We’ll be well up there if these guys start to hit form, though no guarantee that will happen unfortunately.

Matic, Scott, Rashford will all be fresh for the Liverpool game. Hopefully Donny gets a run in that game too.

I think Ole was keeping one eye on the FA Cup tie this weekend. His bold decision not to make changes when we struggled will help us against the Scousers.

That was tough work it relieved we got there in the end. After a poor opening 20 mins I'm glad we got back to control the flow of the game. Fulham didn't really have any pressure until near the end again, which made for a stressful end.

It always felt like a game that may require a defensive mistake or a moment of sheer brilliance to win it. And that's exactly what we got! Fantastic goal by Pogba and its really great to see him playing well recently. He knew he was in a game tonight as the cameras picked up him saying "fecking hell" to himself as he walked off.

Nice bit of play in the lead up to the first goal too. Of course the goal itself is simple enough but you have to be the position to score them. Cavani is probably our best at scoring that type of goal. Should have that penalty before early on too by the way!

Huge 3 points on a tough away trip. I see I'll be in a minority but I thought we had a decent of not ok game. Pogba was Pogba we all wanted since he came, Cavani is such a good buy and defense was again good. This is game you just need to come and win, forever being beautiful or not.

We should close games though not to be frightened if we'll concede at the end.

Similar to the Burnley match really. Pressure on to get a result and a tough match with Pogba deciding it through a moment of brilliance.

It’s great to see our mentality and graft get us through games now, if we play that game in the last 5 or so year we draw or simply don’t respond to going behind.

You’d hope that sooner or later one of Martial, Rashford, Bruno will hit some form again. We’re particularly struggling to kill games with them all firing blanks at the moment. Saw somebody post a stat saying we’ve only been winning by more than 1 goal at the 75th minute mark once all season and that was against Leeds. Tense finishes but we’re battling through.
Liverpool dominated the league last year by winning by 1 goal margins. That was how majority of their wins went

Delighted we saw the game out but we don’t half make the end of games unnecessarily nervy! AWB doesn’t make that block or the deflection off Bailly is 6 inches the other way and it’s a draw and we’re all gutted.

Anyway, back at the top and a win is a win. Subs need to be made earlier next time.
Swings and roundabouts, Pogba hits his shot v's Liverpool 6 inches the other way its a goal and we get 3 points there.

Enjoy the ride, we're winning our games and are top of the league.

Liverpool dropped 2 points there, so it's not an easy place to go - especially given they've been hard to beat recently with 4 draws in 5.

Big win. Fair play to Pogba - he's hitting some season-defining form at the moment. Definitely easing the load off Bruno.

We go again.

Good win. Too bad city paid off VAR and the ref against Villa.

This Fulham team is better than their record. They almost held the rents to a draw with 10 men and should’ve had the W against the scousers but for a dubious penalty call. A win and 3 points all that matters in a mid week fixture after a short rest.

Another huge win on the road! I am starting to believe something might be happening here......

Time stood still when the ball deflected off Bailly’s thigh and brushed passed the post. Sounds dramatic but those few seconds almost felt season defining. If that happens in the last how ever many seasons, the ball nestles into our bottom corner and we’re all sick again!

Cavani, Bailly & Shaw all outstanding and a shout out to Pogba for his moment of pure individual class. Like him or loathe him, he looks well up for this title charge.

It's amazing how we're top of the league with two of our main goalscorers from last season, Greenwood and Martial, being so woefully out of touch with barely any numbers between them.
They have 8 goals between them, it's ridiculous. They scored a combined total of 40 last season...

Bloody hard-going that. Cavani is carrying the forward line, which is why he won a close MotM call from Pogba tonight. There's no doubt whatsoever we'd have dropped points in that game in past seasons so I'm delighted with the grit we showed to come from behind and stay in front, but there's a puzzle to be solved in the final third given the poor form of some players and the seeming lack of click in a few of our combinations (Shaw and Martial being the glaring one today; they looked like they were singing from different planets never mind hymn sheets).

Overall though, some great character as Brenten would say and back to the top.

Literally every one of our players were sloppy during periods of the game. A bit of genuine would class ability separated the sides but I wouldn't have begrudged Fulham getting a equalizer. Great 3 points but not a great performance.

We grind on, and boy we're really grinding.

Great result, but we can’t win the league with hanging on to 1 goal leads and conceding control of the game, when we’ve been totally on top.
We should be killing teams off and stopping them from getting back into the game.
We were lucky in the end, but it was of our own making.
Bruno was gassed by midway through the 2nd half and started being very sloppy and giving ball after ball away. He should have been subbed and rested after 70 or 75 mins.

Fred was immense today. Was like a brick wall, winning the ball back so many times. Pogba has been set free with better players like Bruno and Cavani around him. Martial strolling again, not trying to win the ball back when he loses it, and 33 year old Cavani showing him how it's done.

That's a big win and will go down as an important result at the end of the season. Need to get through games like this, no matter how you do it.

We need to blow our next transfer budget on a machine that de-ages Cavani. The guy is class.

Cavani is the only forward we have that gets that goal. Rashford, Martial or Greenwood would not be there to pounce on the keeper's mistake.

Great resilience from the team tonight. After a poor start they managed to do enough and get over the line.

Defensively solid and do well in controlling games, until the last 10 minutes.

I don't think we played very well offensively and we struggled to create chances, but screw it, that's a big win. Well done to the lads, and thank you Pogba.

Absolutely NOT terrible as some of you are suggesting.

I don't think we were bad, except Martial and Greenwood first half, in the second he was way better. I just think Fulham have really progressed, and you could see their intensity and their recent results (drew to L'pool, drew to Tottenham, lost to Chelsea 1-0 with a man down at 45').

I think last season we would have lost this kind of game with this intensity by the opposition team.

I'd like that we scored the 3rd goal when we had the chance, but 3 massive points for us. Very happy for that. Too soon to say, but that was a champions win.
Well said.

The amount of negativity in this thread is ludicrous.

Very winnable game next mid week against Sheffield Utd.

Liverpool, city and Leicester both go away to Spurs,WBA and Everton

It’s great at the looking forward at the moment compared to recent seasons when I used to cheer when it was an international break

A huuuuge win. But we really need to be more focused from the beginning. We won't always get away after conceding first. It can't last forever.
City have three relatively easy games in front of them before going to Anfield, we must continue winning and not let them create some gap in front of the table (they do have a game in hand)

Pogba again showing he's one of the best in the world on his day. Ever since that Raiola's statement he's been great

2 years ago, we lose a game like this easily. Say whatever but this team doesn't know to give up! Massive 3 points and 12 clear of last season. Loving it.

How can ole keep preferring martial over cavani when fielding our strongest line up, the guy deserves a good run in the side with how well he has done for us in limited appearances.

Pogba has really stepped this past few weeks.

Lucky tonight but its 3 points and that's all that matters.

Oles late changes were too late again, Martial and Greenwood especially disappointing.

Fred, Pogba, Cavani and De Gea showed up tonight.

Competition for places is bringing the best out of De Gea, Pogba, Shaw, and Fred.

Now we just need to add a very good right winger and a centre back to add quality and also bring the best out of Maguire, Lindelof and the bunch of right wingers.

We clearly deserved to win but why oh why aren't we making subs in the last 20 minutes when they're running through our midfield ?

If we are going to win the league we have to get the forwards back into form or re-energised - only Cavani is performing and that won't be good enough to keep us up there IMO.

That attacking right side is becoming a real problem and surely it's time to try DVB, Mata or bring in Diallo asap

I don’t understand how fans can complain and have a go at players or the Manager when we have just won and back top of the League
Anyway enjoyed the game and well played and fought lads
Bring on Sheffield Utd

Should we be worried about our wide players? They were great end of last season, what’s changed do we think?
