Some in the Pogba thread saying that PP is dragging us over the line and I respect his growing contribution but to me, our position is down to Bruno. Far from perfect tonight and generally, but he’s been hugely overplayed and he’s regularly stepped up when others have gone missing, Pogba included.
I wonder what our league position would have been had he not signed for us.

Unlucky to hit the post with a fantastic left foot shot from distance. Super cross for Cavani's header that was saved. The cross that led to Cavani's goal was too close to the keeper, only for us to benefit from an error. Another decent shot from distance that was saved. A rubbish free-kick off-target, a shot blocked and a terrible pass back straight to a Fulham player in the 2nd half. 2 successful tackles out of 4 attempts and 2 interceptions.

Still not firing, that shot goes in off the post and he’s back but head went down again
2-3 minutes left and tries a stupid through pass which set Fulham off on the counter
76% pass completion is worrying

can’t wait for him to hit a screamer and get back on him jam

No it’s not. That’s about normal for him. 54% pass completion is worrying. Which was him in the Liverpool game. Today he was much more like his usual self.

Think it’s now the 3rd time Ole has publicly mentioned that the Hollywood passes need to become less frequent and to stop rushing the pass. He doesn’t mention names but I’m pretty sure that is aimed at Pogba and Bruno and he’s right.

At times they just try stupid things where maybe making 2 or 3 more passes before attempting a miracle ball would do us a world of good. Team still needs work and drilling but when it’s all sorted he I feel is going to go to even greater levels. We looked much better today and played better stuff when he started dropping in to midfield to help and give options. Needs to do that way more often.

He had a good game tonight especially in the first half. I think Ole will be resting him on Sunday.

As much as we obviously want our players getting assists and stuff that’s almost as bad a call as Fred not getting that penalty. The balls completely changed direction after hitting Nipple. We’ll take it though. The unlucky not to score two crackers today should add.

Pretty sure it was just one person, and quite likely a Pogba "fanboy". But yes, it was pretty disrespectful to Bruno.

I wouldn't worry too much; 99.4% of the caf continue to post things like 'Where would be be in the table without him?'

Much better game tonight. For 20 mins or so in the first half he really touched the stars.

It was typical Bruno performance with few almost goalscoring assist and a chance to score combined with misplaced passes. He is not struggling, it's just he isn't scoring or getting assist

Hitting the post from outside the box then immediately ending up on the wing to create the goal. That was mega stuff. No one else in the team does that

Lost the ball a few times in bad positions and almost cost us. Just give him a rest for the fa cup game like rashford got today.

If he could be a little bit less direct then I think he would be a even better player for it. He's forcing the issue too much and a bit of simplicity would go a long way in helping him and the team going forward IMO.

FF gave him an assist for it
it was aimed at the poster. I’ve no issue Bruno getting the assist. To be fair it was more of an assist than some he’s got....the problem with the poster is that there are other players that he wouldn’t be asking that question, in fact he’d be attacking the assist if it were given

But the question is did he get the assist? I've got him as captain on FPL.. :D

Do you not think this is likely to change if/when we have competent forward options? Martial, Rashford and Greenwood have had really poor seasons. Rashford's numbers have been better than the other two, but his all round game has been just as low.

None of the three are producing any sort of consistent creativity match-to-match in terms of beating a man to create chaos and free up space for Bruno to work. They aren't even offering any sort of consistent interplay options...if Bruno goes short to Rashford or Greenwood (this is one area where these two are worse than Martial) then he moves into space for the return there's a very low chance he's actually getting it back. Even their off ball movement has been largely terrible, which again creates problems for any playmaker.

It's no coincidence that a lot of Bruno's best stuff this season, and tonight, has came from combinations with Cavani. In terms of midfield combinations, he's also linked up well with Mata and VDB in limited time.

I do think he will improve in that regard which I have no doubt about because it's just a shift of mindset that needs to occur IMO. But having said that I hope it doesn't change too much because his direct style is also a strength which is why he's a player with a big goal threat and out put. But the key is to find the balance which will make him even more potent.

Much better again today. Could have had a goal to go with that assist (assist? yes?)

For all that the media have put him in their 'beyond criticism' pigeonhole (makes a nice change for a United player to share that hallowed space), he will never be a 'perfect' player. He is a chaotic player. But as long as he continues to be brilliant too, that chaotic quality remains as much an asset as it is a weakness.

He had a good game, like how he had that shot that hit the post from 2 touches suddenly. Kept it a lot more simple than usual but of course tries some of his passes from the first touch.

I swear some people wait for the stars to say if he had a good game which is silly to say the least. Watch the games lads, leave all those statistics to American sports.
