Muller has been great, just seems strange to compare him to KDB from 5 years ago.
I'm not though.

Just because it was KDB's record that Muller broke or tied doesn't mean I compared him to KDB back then. It was just mentioned(the assist record) to illustrate the fine season Muller has had.

All this talk and debate about him v Muller, and as far as I can see, no one has said how he dropped an absolute stinker today.

The sum total of his contributions was the goal and that pass to Sterling. Every other time he had the ball, he invariably lost it and what was with his fascination of trying to catch the keeper out from wide free kicks? Lopes pretty telegraphed every single one!

Just seems pointless comparing the stats, when one is 5 years old.

I’d rather have KDB in my team than Muller, and imagine the vast majority of people would think the same. That’s not to say I don’t like Miller, and would have loved to have seen him at Utd.

If I'm handing out the Balon D'Or this year, I'm giving it to Lewandowski.

But if I could have one of them at United, it's De Bruyne every time.
Fair enough and I agree to an extent, but that's not what you said in your post.

Apparently his passing accuracy was 59%.

That is woeful. Levels above Muller though.

Those who say KDB is levels above Müller are as delusional as those who say Müller is better. It is not like KDB has consistently better stats than Müller. Scoringwise KDB is surely not levels above. KDB´s passing , dribbling and touch is better, but doesnt mean Müllers passing , touch and creativity/vision isn`t top tier. And then we have things like workrate, pressing, leadership, tackling etc ..

Main thing I love about him is how he always manages to put in a dangerous looking cross/pass no matter what situation he's in.

Kevin is becoming a final ball player. I know everybody raves about him but he was a lot more effective a few years ago when he played more centrally. He had more imagination about him.
Now hea drifting wide and putting in cross after cross and his stats are incredible because of it but is like Bruno where you start to question his ability to dictate the game.
He’s been doing that for ages. He just gets away with it because narratives take a while to change.

People here say Barca, Juve, PSG, Real are all trash. So only Liverpool and Bayern are good enough for him ? Or who else do you suggest ?
Depends what his goals are as a player but I'd assume the CL is near the top of his priorities. I can see him at Juve, Real or Barca - I think he's head and shoulders above any other midfielder in the world as an all rounder right now and still has a number of years before a decline given he just turned 29.

It's not about who is currently the 'best' team but where I think he'd be in a position to challenge for the Ballon D'Or, have access to a truly global fanbase/brand & then also have a good platform for major honours; Juve, Bayern, Real, Barca, United, Pool, Chelsea, PSG all the fit the bill but the last four are either not good enough, too difficult a move or too similar a 'project' & Bayern never really splash out on transfers so that leaves the first three.

He's so good that my 6 year old has decided to support City over United solely because of him. :(

‘Kinell. That’s actually nauseating. Place him on the transfer list immediately.

Why do you think Thiago seems completely focused on going to Liverpool for a new challenge? Only they seem to be „good enough“.
Barca and Real are in rebuild. Juve as well. PSG and City might not be interesting for some players. This leaves them with limited options if they want to play at a club that has a real shot at titles.

Fortunately our other midfielders are in decent form at the moment.
Gundogan, Foden and Bernardo Silva all firing and can play a variety of positions so hopefully Kev’s absence shouldn’t hurt too much.
There are even a couple of kids (Cole Palmer and James McAtee) who may get a few minutes on the pitch in some games such as the Cheltenham FA Cup match tomorrow.

Could be interesting to see if they maintain that creative link that he provides. I accept they still have quality but I could see them misfiring a bit over the next couple of weeks and perhaps drawing a couple.

Bernardo seems like the obvious replacement, given you can put him into any kind of position and will always get a decent performance out of him. Well not always, but he is finally back in form. Although obviously he won't be able to provide the creative link that De Bruyne does. A lot will hang also on Gundogan (and Cancelo, who is the second best creator this season after De Bruyne) in the coming weeks. Will be a nice test actually as the next three opponents will sit back with 10 men for most of the time. WBA, Sheffield Utd and Burnley.

Bernardo improved quite a bit in last 3-4 weeks so hopefully him and Foden can do well in that 8/10 position. However, I'm more worried about Mahrez starting games now.

This is exactly the reason we need to rest/Rotate Bruno for a few games. If he has to miss a game then who is tried as our 10, Donny, Mata, Pogba?

We need to be in a similar situation to City where if our main talisman is out injured (please mo) we do have a Plan B, Plan C etc.

It is going to be a long old season!

They won’t miss him, I think they have enough anyway.
