Since I started working from home I have gotten into listening to podcasts each day and trying to get through as many different ones as I can.

I try to stick mostly to comedy ones but mix it up sometimes and always looking for something new.

Probably the best ones I have heard so far

How Did this Get Made with Jason Mantzoukas

Off Menu with Ed Gamble and James Acastor

Infinite monkey cage with Brian Cox

Science Rules with Bill Nye

Any Kevin Smith one

Real life Ghost Stories

Katherine Ryan

Romesh has a couple that are really funny one with him and Tom Davis.

Anything else I should check out and I currently use Castbox is there any better site

With stuff like Fake Doctors Real Friends, are you watching episodes in line with the podcast and then listening to their take on it? Or just binging through and using it to remind yourself of the show?

More and more podcasts like this and I don't really 'get' the format. They're doing the same for Taskmaster soon too.

Abroad in Japan is good, listened to quite a few episodes in the summer. Lore is good, though I haven't listened to that in a while.

The DIIV podcast is cool, but maybe more specific for fans of the band or that kind of music.

I mean I've watched Scrubs back to front 4 or 5 times, so I know every episode well enough to remember they're talking about.

Taskmaster will be a bit harder as I've only seen each episode once, but I reckon once they talk about a task you'll be able to remember it.

I enjoy RH too. Some very interesting subjects covered.
I most look forward to a boxing podcast called “The Neutral Corner” by Michael Montero.
He’s informed, fair and entertaining.

The Blindboy Podcast is great. Not everyone will find all of them interesting, but he's talked about so many things by now that most will be able to find something they like. I especially like it when he talks about music and art history. He's interviewed some pretty cool people as well. And the mental health ones can be quite good too.
The issue can be finding the ones you're interested in as they're named absurdly.

History of Rome and Revolutions by Mike Duncan. They are incredibly well done.

Same with me with Scrubs. I know exactly what they are talking about at all times

But yeah locky, you are supposed to watch the episode then enjoy the guys involved talking about it. It's kind of like the old DVD extras with commentary but even better as there's no strict limits on what they can and can't say. You like Taskmaster IIRC right? The podcast is a perfect compliment to it, in fact like the scrubs one it leaves you appreciating it even more when you hear the stories behind it all.

Oh and I also like My Favourite Murder, though I still haven't caught up with the last 2 years or so, so no idea if it's still good or gone down the getting popular and being more and more forced route.

I love Fake Doctors Real Friends and West Wing Weekly.

But I couldn't get into Office Ladies, (the US office watchalong with Pam and Angela) at all despite absolutely loving the show. I know these shows with famous actors all exist because the podcast companies throw big money at the hosts, but the Office one feels particularly forced and scripted.

Though maybe it got better, I gave up on it fairly quickly

It was just annoying laughing back and forth at what seemed like inside jokes last time I gave it a go.

I'm a massive nerd so I listen to a podcast with a couple of my favorite Twitch streamers and speedrunners called Warp World. Even more geeky one; a Pokemon card/collection podcast. I also like the Louis Theroux one.

Romesh Ranganathan - 'Hip Hop Saved My Life' is a cracker.

Was listening to the Frankie Boyle one the other day and nearly in tears. Frankie's theory on Tupac and Biggie faking their own deaths to hide their gay relationship and plan to come back as the Greek entry at Eurovision was incredible.

"They've destabalised the economy of Greece so they can get on as the entrant"

"Biggies been working out"
"Do you think he's lost weight?"
"No"

Song Exploder is great. Basically artists explain how they created certain songs.
Has been adapted as a Netflix show, too.

The Dollup - two comedians go through a US (or other country when on tour in that country) history story. Really informative and really funny

Reply All - hard to define. Some really good reporting and also humor. Usually centered around tech or social media

Comedy
Authors and Dragons - comedy writers play D&D. The first couple episodes got me kicked out of the bed as I was laughing so hard it was shaking.

Doughboys - two lovable Idiots review fast food restaurants. One of my favorites

How Did this Get Played - like how did this get made, but video games

No Question About That - United podcast that I used to listen to constantly, dropped off lately with how much time I spend on here, but used to be great.

Football Ramble / Totally football show - usually alternate between them depending on what games are on that week.

Too many science and space ones to name, favourites are probably the Brian Cox ones as I like his way of explaining seriously complex stuff and having no issue saying he doesn't know an answer.

I just use Google's Podcasts app. Free and easy to use.

And yeah I usually listen to podcasts while cooking, doing the dishes and stuff like that.

As I have an iPhone I usually just use the default Podcast App. Sometimes I use the Spotify App if the podcast is exclusive to that platform. Podcasts, and a glass of beer/wine while cooking is my favorite relaxation time.
