They couldnt have been watching the game then. Without the stats you could see they had loads more possession especially second half. Was pretty even first.
No idea how these things are recorded tbh but bizarre to be so far off.

Anyhow, the rest of my post is fair game. They get praise based on what they were and not what they currently are. I didn't notice this 'glorious' play tonight and thought we had the better clear openings.

Nerve wracking. We caused ourselves more trouble with sloppy passing, especially out from the back, than they did. The game was up once they took Thiago off. Nice end t the weekend.

As Bruno said its going to be a good week for us.
Milner and Fabinho should of seen red.
Sloppy passing from the back cost us but all in all a good performance and great to push the dippers back down to where they belong

GET IN!

Now thats a sweet victory. Cant have any reason to complain there, hopefully its another boost in our belief and confidence.

As for Liverpool hopefully another damaging blow on their way to a full blown implosion and crisis.

When was the draw for the next round made btw?
Same time as this round. West Ham at home.

Not bigger than us

Bigger team in the league I mean - as I think we'd scored about 1 goal, a pen in about 6 or 7 games against the teams considered the big 6 (although in fairness Leicester should be in there over Arsenal now and we scored 2 in that one)
I was getting worried about you there for a minute

Would not surprised if Liverpool finished outside the top four this season. Very ordinary side.
Steady now. They had us on the ropes for long periods. They're still much better than the likes of Leicester, Spurs, or Chelsea.

That said, the past few weeks have been great fun from them. Endless entertainment really.

Watching the free kick, it's interesting that if it weren't for the guy basically on the ground protecting for the worm burner, Pogba would've been considered offside as he was in the line of the shot/keeper's view. Nice set up, though.

Great to continue winning ways, especially vs Liverpool. Keep them in their tailspin.

Thrilling game of football, neither team deserved to lose! Stunning performance from Rashford, Pogba was awesome, both full backs were great, Bruno was top class off the bench as well. Free kick was made out as a contentious call but for me it was perfectly fine, and the real call was may be why Fabinho didn't get a 2nd yellow for it. Anyways, huge boost in morale for the team, let's use it going forwards to continue our streak in the league.

Get in, get in and get in again.

Feck the ABU media, feck Jenas and feck the Liverpool love in.

Mane goes studs in and Jenas says its "nothing", if it was United player making thtat challenge Jenas would be asking for the player to be deported.

Love it just love it putting it up all the haters

Come on Utd

AaaaaOoooouuuuuuu

:D
It was fairly similar to Luke Shaw's challenge that people were saying he should have had a red card for.

Great game and entertaining. Showed that we have characters through the team now too. Delighted to knock those lot out and shut up the Liverpool media fan boys in turn! Was Ian Wright doing his best to be a WUM about the Cavani free kick. Literally blatant and not even referencing he was on a yellow of course.

Mentions to Shaw, Pogba, Cavani & Rashford and of course Bruno’s game winning impact off the bench. Defensively we’re still naive and I always feel better with Bailly there for some reason. Onwards... get in!!

Shearer claims Liverpool played some "glorious stuff and had most of the ball".

Stats:

Man Utd: Possession 55% Shots on target 7 Shots off target 7.

Liverpool: Possession 45% Shots on target 6 Shots off target 5.

Hmmm. All this hyperbole about Liverpool and playing great stuff is dated. They don't look a special side anymore and their football is actually fairly dire.
According to BBC, possession was 58% tyo Liverpool, shots 14 each with 6 on target each.

Not that I'm complaining, it's a great result and another kick in the teeth for the Outers.

Great result, helps keep the momentum going

Shaw & Pogba were excellent again. Bruno does what Bruno does. If we could sort out playing out from the back because it really does give panic attacks, the passing needs to be 10 times quicker for it to work.

GET IN!

Sometimes I wish you could post the noise you make at full time after a game like that (probably a good idea you cant considering I probably like some sort of demon goat or something) to get across how thrilled you are.

We already had West Ham waiting in the wings. Quite a tough cup run this!

To be fair, I've always wondered why professional players don't try this old playground trick when things are desperate. What's there to lose?
Probably a booking for ungentlemanly conduct.
But I suppose in normal stadiums with fans you can't hear some twat screaming over the crowd anyway.

We always make it more difficult for ourselves, still liverpool didn't feel threatening and great win, especially winning by a freek kick(penalty would have been brilliant).
Rashford's injury is a worry, he was uncomfortable for almost 4-5 min before he was subbed, hope it's all good.

Good performance and a great Sunday afternoon watch. It could have been more comfortable, but we were superior over the 90 and their current form notwithstanding, they’re still Liverpool, we’re not going to dominate them for 90 minutes. Particularly happy for Greenwood and Rashford to get on the sheet. Hopefully that’ll spark some more goals from our attackers.

My only regret is that I look back at the league meeting last week and even more feel like we missed an opportunity there. We showed them too much respect in the early part of that game. As we saw at the end of that game, and today, those waves of overwhelming attacks you used to get from Liverpool have gone, for the time being anyway.

As for Liverpool, they’re miles off the form of last season right now. Does anyone fancy them to beat Spurs in the league this week? Or even West Ham at the weekend? I could easily see them drawing both those games, or even worse.

Legit not sure how BBC are making it a point of contention, you could see his knee go through Cavani.
In fairness they showed the good angle and made Wright look an idiot for saying it wasn’t an FK. I do think Cavani buys it somewhat but he is still fouled and it’s a definite FK.
