Cracking result! Tell me how good does it feel?!

People are forgetting it's a cup game, doesn't matter "how much we deserved it"! It's a one-off game and we came out on top and definitely did not deserve NOT to come on top.

Just enjoy the win lads...Ole's at the wheel!

To be fair BT have just done a highlights reel on the match before the televised Everton match from Michael Owen and nothing was mentioned about it never being a free kick. ABU's like Wright will always try to find something to discredit a United win.

*Embarrassing by Wright there.

Great result. A win against Liverpool always is, but would of preffared a win in the league game last week instead of tonight, if I’d had to choose between the two, as would a lot of United fans would of.

Shame about Cavani’s header, would of been a superb goal, but onwards & upwards and a great confidence boost....well done lads, a great performance keep it going!!

Does anyone else notice the players body language with Ole? Maybe cause it was a game where both teams didn’t go 100 percent but they seemed to react better to seeing dare I say Jurgen than Ole
Great win over main rival playing some good stuff. And this is what you come to post. This is surely a candidate for worst post of the year, and we haven’t left January yet. Two sentences of absolute piss. Congratulations.

In other news, that was a such a good game, and we’ve got some steel to go with the flashes of brilliance at the minute. More results like this and the confidence will grow, which should lead to a greater sense of calm and control. Keep it going, loving this run.

Except for a period in the second half (right before and after their goal) I felt that was a game we always looked like winning. And that was while not playing very well ourselves. Deserved win.

To be fair, I've always wondered why professional players don't try this old playground trick when things are desperate. What's there to lose?
It's actually considered unsporting behaviour and it's a bookable offence and indirect free kick, if the ref chooses to call it.

It's open to interpretation, and I've never seen it happen in professional football, but it happens in Sunday League every now and then.

A friend of mine is a ref and has to deal with it sometimes. You're allowed to shout 'leave it', 'mine' etc but not if you're deliberately trying to put off the opponent.

It's why you don't see it actually happen that often in Sunday League, most guys who play at that level know not to do it.

Enjoyed that. Proper match. We played really well in spells, Rashford was electric on left wing, a massive threat and what a pass for Greenwoods goal. Greenwood was well up for it and Cavani ran his socks off, shame that header hit the post.
Pogba and Shaw immense again if i ignore the 3 times Pog lost possession in bad areas....
overall i think we were the better team but Liverpool played more like themselves at times... - shows how far we have improved this season...

We are the bunch of nice footballers. In SAF's team half would have crowded refree and other half would have gone after Mane. Put pressure, make a scene, show you are not happy, otherwise there is no way refree going to give straight red.

We need few cnts in our team. Nice people don't win the league.

Fantastic win.
Shaw, McSauce, Pogba - all fantastic.

We are seriously looking good.
A big win at home too - will give us confidence.

Great win but I did find it stressful at 2-2 when we had them closing us down and pressing us in our own box. Thought we would give them another. They must have been gutted to lose after all that tearing about. Ha, funny.

Only real downside is Salah coming back into form but hopefully the defeat knocks him back again.

Isnt that much better, even if we lost, still would happy with performance. We had a go, mistakes were made in defense but still, none of that, cant string 2 passes chickenshit nonsense. Well done team and Ole.
Absolutely. We've shown too many of the top sides too much respect this season. Need them to start fearing us. We did a better job in keeping possession in the first half and actually playing in their half for periods of time - which was nice to see. Less in the second half though but, then we had a lead, so understandable.

Think we are well on our way up, been waiting for the "false dawn" but, very much feel like even if we lose a game from here on out, it won't be a case of us dropping a few, we'll bounce back. On the flip side, hope for the Liverpool, Spurs and West Ham do them in the coming week - they are there for th taking.

This is our best spell since SAF left. And not the first good run of games under Ole. Ole's at the wheel!

Did the BBC showing action replays when the ball was in play annoy anyone else? Pool’s second goal for instance. Goal kick to Utd, BBC decide to show a replay and the next thing cut back to play just as Pool score.

Surprisingly shearer call him out and said it was a clear foul and therefore a freekick. Ian wright said he was already going down before the foul..a load of bollocks.

Two lapses on defense, but we managed the game very well. Above all, we beat Liverpool.

Wow, talk about an over reaction.
great win? Neither team went into full throttle for this game, and I’m happy we didn’t. Yes we played our starters but you could tell both teams were taking it easy.

I do think it’s an important observation, quite worrying to me becauseI hoped with us where we are in the table all things were well at the club.

Massively annoyed me. Pointless replays usually as well

Really good match to watch, and always good to beat the old enemy. We played really well and should have won by more. Fabinho should have had a second yellow, but the protocol by referees is not to fairly punish opposing players.

Over the moon..

And i am sticking to my abnormal ritual of not watching any United LIVE games.

This season, i watch United LIVE matches and the results are not good. Example of matches that i watched LIVE

*Lost 3-2 to Crystal Palace
*Lost 6-1 to Spurs
*Lost 1-0 to Arsenal
*Lost 1-2 to Basakheir in the UCL
*Lost 1-3 to PSG in the UCL

Since then I've not watch a single LIVE match and united have been doing great so far.

It's ok guys. I take it for the team.
