  • Allardyce also wants Choudhury on loan from Leicester.
  • WBA are assessing numerous forwards from England and abroad.
    • Benteke: big wages
      • Crystal Palace want to offload one of Benteke or Batshuayi.
  • Allardyce: " We are considering all options – loans particularly, our funds are not big enough for permanent signings. It’s more loans which makes it more difficult.
    • "And if there is anything in and around the Premier League - we have one domestic loan left - we will look at that as well to help improve us."

If it's only this half a season, what's the point? Developing a player for RM again while paying his wages, what push is he going to give them? Europa place at best, keep them in Prem maybe? Could've brought in a young talent on permanent and developed him for themselves, their seasons already done.

I think they're looking for short-term, instant improvements to their team whilst trying to make their team more appealing to young players. They might be going down the Dortmund route of benefitting from the talent of young players before letting them go. Methinks that the more established players have scarred them with their not-so-good attitudes.

A PL loan to a club where he's guaranteed to start every week to put himself in the shop window makes sense.
A loan would only make sense is if there was a conditional/obligatory buyout. I don't see a point in keeping Lingard around any longer as he doesn't even get involved in the first team.

Sheffield United is the best club for him as he'll get lots of match time with them, but he'll need to accept that he won't get a move to a better club.

Didn't we extend his deal by a year? If he plays well for Sheffield then maybe he could get a move to a club like Southampton or Newcastle in the summer and we get £10M.

If Lingard would be playing regularly enough for whatever club he'd be loaned out to, one would expect them to exercise or fulfill the purchase, too. A straight-up loan would make no sense as there may not be much of an incentive for the loanee to take in a player.

I'm guessing the PL clubs must have gotten notice that he doesn't want to leave Germany as with his ability you'd think our big teams would be interested, I mean we will need to replace Pogba and it looks like Liverpool will need to replace Wijnaldum.

In that case I think he'll want to go to a club that at least has a chance to stay up.

‘A lot of competition from Dortmund. The only sticking point, they can’t afford him’. Quite a sticking point then!
I think the key caveat from the tweet is that the current Gladbach coach Marco Rose will be joining Dortmund hence he could play a big role in the players choice.

My thoughts as well. At least if hes playing now it might get him more attention in the summer.

Translation:
Nobody is going to match that offer.

So the guy actually wants to play football instead of sitting and collecting his paycheck. Let's hope it's true.
Isn't he out of contract at the end of the season?

Probably in his best interests to get some football elsewhere before the summer to put himself in the shop window.

EDIT: Jody Morris will also leave! I wonder which club will be lucky to get him as a first-team coach.

Source: ABC Sevilla

Agent Anass Ouzifi:
A few days ago a Premier club called me again, an important team. They asked me what was Youssef’s situation. I told them directly that it didn’t matter, that Youssef didn’t want to leave Sevilla, that he wouldn’t.

They insisted and told me if they could offer something. I explained the situation well to them. Youssef is very happy in Seville, very grateful to the club and his teammates; feels the affection of the fans. He’s happy. He is 23 years old. Why would you want to leave? Not everything is money in life.
That reads like West Ham to me.
