Why would they be? Their movies bring in huge numbers of people and massive receipts. If they pick up more as they go along, I'm sure they'll be very happy, but they are exploring doing something a bit different.

This is going to be a short, self-contained series. I doubt they are planning on doing many more if any, and it should be considered just like a limited run comic book series - one that eventually gets put out collected together as a trade paperback. And nobody is forcing regular readers of other books to read those and get as much from it as people who are already fans.

I find it odd in this thread that there are people basically demanding to be able to enjoy this without being particularly interested in the 13 years of the MCU leading up to it. And then there are those on the flip side who are telling us with certainty that it will be a classic show. More than likely it'll be a quirky curiosity that will appeal to a limited audience.
If you know the storyline and trust the direction it’ll be good. Pretty sure I can tell you where this is headed and I trust the studio to do a great job as they have a large body of work to suggest they will.

Nothing Marvel has done with the MCU has been exactly the same as the comics though, so I wouldn't be too attached to the idea of the big red guy with a cape. We know they like to subvert expectations.

I’d spoiler that.

Watched the first three episodes yesterday. This is fascinating. Huge credit to the creative team for making such a bold move. I think it really freshens up the whole MCU to see them taking chances and subverting our expectations like this and the series so far is funny, intriguing and wonderfully weird. Can't wait to see the next episode

I think this is fair. I won't judge the season until I've seen the season but in terms of judging episodes it has me intrigued. I can understand if others aren't as intrigued but using the term fan boy to make a point is very silly.

I'm also interested in the viewing numbers and subscriptions based on this show and week to week analytics and whether people are still interested / more interested or losing interest

Just finished ep3 (I stopped halfway through a few nights ago because I was tired and it wasn't compelling). There's been just barely enough that I'll keep an eye out on reviews of the rest of the season, but won't watch more til it's over. There was nothing memorable in those episodes that'll stay with me longer than an hour, and a lot that was just plain irritating.

I’ve been considering starting this against my better judgement, as of all the characters in the MCU these two are the two I could care less about. Desperate times call for desperate measures and I need something new. Given what I’ve been reading in here, it looks like I should be giving it a wide birth at least until it has dropped a few more episodes.

Well start speaking proper England like you was teached when you was a children.
Does it help you that it was a predictive error and when I checked over the post I saw the mistake with my own eyes?

I thought I’d horrendously offended some sort of secret Wanda or Vision fan club and was preparing in detail all the reasons why I hate those two characters.

I'm pulling your leg, mate.

I do hate it when people say that though

Solid episode. Opening scene was very cool & the episode confirms Wanda has created her own little world to cope with the events of Infinity War/Endgame. I still think she’s not the only one responsible, rather she’s been convinced to do this by a particular individual, but I guess that’s going to be revealed one way or another over the reminder of the season.

I’m excited to see what happens in the remaining episodes. With SWORD confirmed to be on the doorstep & Vision asking questions, I don’t think it’ll be long until she loses control & everything unravels.

Agent Woo finally learning the card trick was a nice Easter egg.

I imagine some on here will be happy to know, it's moved completely away from sitcom, for now atleast.

Tbh i actually quite enjoyed the sitcom.

That episode was brilliant. That ladies and gentlemen, is why you don't give up on a tv show after 3 episodes.
Exactly, I was thoroughly enjoying it and expected it to be sitcom style until the merge into Doctor Strange movie. I am brilliantly intrigued now, full of questions and in awe that the first section of the next phase has me completley sucked in already.

I only just copped that the beginning was her coming back from the snap. That confused the hell outta me.

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.

Was it just me who when they were watching old clips from the episodes back found them funny? Yet I didn’t at the time. So odd! Anyway, I thought that episode was brilliant. Especially the last few minutes. Totally on board now.

Voodoo Chile or voodoo child?

Great episode, which worked because of the three lead up episodes which were happening simultaneously to this

Also was great to have a view point of what happened right after people got snapped back into existence by Hulk / banner

Can't wait to see what happens next

I'd expect the posters who've been vocal about the pace of the first 3 episodes to be fairly quiet from this point. Although it's been slow, it's also been fairly clear that they were working through an overarching concept and weren't going to spend hours doing a pointless pastiche of I Love Lucy. There might even be explosions! Imagine that! Actual fake explosions!

Loved this episode (and the other three). Thing is, it was obvious this was going to happen (ton change etc) just by watching one trailer. I never understood all the negatives after a couple of episodes.

Are you asking me to chime in? I enjoyed the people coming back from the snap, that was interesting. And the rest of the episode was good, even if some of the characters are clearly going to be annoying (hi, FBI guy and science lady). I still don't think it needed a three-episode setup filled with utterly forgettable stuff. Switching decades inside one/two episodes would not have made any difference to this episode. It could have even been fascinating to see a 50s dilemma play out into a 60s shift, for example. There was plenty of disorienting potential in something like that.

Yep - I actually thought the trailer gave away a little too much in terms of what to expect with the premise of the show & the “slow” start in the first few episodes was to be expected. I’ve really enjoyed it so far & it feels like it’s going to get even better in the remaining episodes.

Enjoyed that.

Was it just me or were Vision’s facial expressions a bit sinister in that final shot? I’m sure he did a creepy smile at some point as well.

That shot of him (the dead version) was creepy AF. Something out of a horror show and thats despite him being a robot

Great start to the episode

And finally what I wanted 2 episodes ago. Pretty good albeit nothing surprising in the plot reveal. On the right road

Great Episode. What I love about Marvel is how they knit things together.
