Nik (@Rood ) is joined by Alex (@Alock1 ) and Jamie (@Vault Dweller ) to revel in United's 3-2 victory over the old enemy in the FA Cup. The lads have high praise for Rashford, Pogba and even Ole himself, before they consider another draining midweek encounter, this time against the lowly Blades.

Excellent pod again boys. Enjoyed the discussion about the importance of the FA Cup. We're now in a great position in the league and cup and hopefully can focus on both.

Europa League is ideal for the kids to gain experience but hopefully we don't need it for champions league entry this time around.

Good pod guys, I enjoyed it. Not a secret Scouser or City fan though...

I agree with most of what was said, I would have liked to hear a bit more on how Ole had Pogba dropping in on the left to help Shaw mark TAA and Salah, so that Rashford didn't have to bother tracking and could sit on the half way line to enable the quick transition. We created a few chances from that, scoring one of them.

I thought your conversation about Donny Van de Beek was fair as well. I'm not entirely sure what people expect though. We have bought a player for squad rotation, and I think any extrapolation to say he's not a player Ole wanted is wrong; he clearly is, Pereira wouldn't be on loan if he weren't. He definitely offers something different to the team, and is quite versatile. We have crowbarred new signings into the team in the past (under different managers) and it has only been to the detriment of team cohesion.

Furthermore, if the furore around VdB being unhappy with his position in the squad, good! That's exactly what we need, top quality players fighting to be part of a winning team and getting minutes. It is something the team has lacked since Fergie retired.

Ye we can sack off the Europa if we are in a comfortable top4 position, it has not been like that the last times we were in it

Although Im not sure how many kids are ready for first team - at least we might see the likes of Diallo

Ye the price we paid for Van De Beek is more of a squad player nowadays so I was never expecting him to go straight in the team, he was cheaper than Fred for example, but I suppose his reputation was higher which leads to more expectation but he was average at best on Sunday so hardly forcing his way into the first team. He will get more chances anyway

Great listen lads....

As well as the team doing well it's always good to hear that Jamie's ballsack is being well maintained.

To be fair to Jamie can he be blamed for the utter state of this defending? My grandma could probably score against us tonight and she'll have been dead three years in March.

Shocking to say the least mate. Failed to clear it twice, then for a powder puff shot to take a deflection, hit the bar and go in says it all.

I cant remember who said Burke is rubbish. But this jinx is on you!!!
I'll take that. Still can't quite believe how bad the performance from us was.

Bad performance, bad result, bad night bad everything.

It happens the important thing is to make sure it's a one off and not allow it to happen again anytime soon.

Yep and we got screwed by VAR yet again, still no excuses for the comedy of errors for the 2nd goal

New podcast will be out tomorrow ...

Please don't blame that defeat on VAR because makes you appear to be defending the players and they don't deserve that after this utterly diabolical performance

I'm not defending them, it was the worst performance in ages - thought we deserved a point though
