I went to the Land of Storms and all I got was this Weathered Mask:

I think we're done here.

Hang on, you did Pantheon of Hallownest with all bindings? I assume one binding at a time but still, you're even more hardcore than I thought.

Yeah one at a time. If I could even get to the skill level of doing an All Bindings Hallownest, the endless grind would probably kill me. The no charm binding alone was so damn arduous and took me over an hour with each attempt. The other bindings were easier and crucially more fun. It's amazing what you lose when you can't rely on charms, and you have to figure out all types of workarounds. I had to start from scratch to learn brand new nail art strats for Markoth and The Collector. Relief.

I might take Godseeker a flower now.

Though I was doing the stupidest thing ever by deciding to attempt the white palace again but fecking hell. Managed to get through this time out. Was stuck at the last phase last time but some of those spikes fecked me up. Found an alternate way of clearing the point I was stuck at and a few more spikes and shit later I was sat on the fecking throne. This feels a lot better than beating some of the bosses.

Radiance. That's a tough cookie. I practically start at her second phase when there are spikes in the ground but rarely get past that. Only managed to get to the upper platform stage a couple of times but kinda panicked.

Advice on charms and strats welcome.

I didn't think she was that tough.

I used the charms that make your spells stronger/faster to fill spells...

I also used Unbreakable Strength, but that was more for HK.

The best tactic to use is to just be patient and give her a slice when you can. When she's teleported above you, abyss shriek the feck out of her.

Once she goes to the top, just be slow and patient as her attacks are well telegraphed.

Yes I just need unbreakable strength for THK. The rest of the notches are all for little miss sunshine. I use Shaman Stone and Spell Twister and Abyss Shriek the hell out of her when I get the chance. Think I'm being too careful. That part with spikes on the ground and her attacks from the top is probably the toughest part of the fight. Important to keep getting hits to get that over quickly. Once thats done I think rest can be done.

I hope to some day make it as far as you all have, in the mean time I'm just dying to broken vessel over and over..

also, feck those crystal hunters, absolute bastards, lost 1500 geo because of them and the feckery of crystal mound and a random baldur.
Don't think I'll ever attempt path of pain if I ever even get that far, looks like a recipe for an aneurysm :')

Do you mean the part with spikes alternating left and right or the part with spikes only on the outsides? Because that last one should be fairly easy, you just have to stay in the middle and not move around too much. She doesn't do any attack other than dropping swords, so just focus on the gaps. You can skip the two phases before that almost completely by doing 4 Abyss Shrieks with Shaman Stone. I always used the third phase to go for nail attacks to build up soul again for the platform phase.

Yeah for that part where swords are raining down I do exactly as you, build soul and heal before the platform phase. But it's the phase before that, with spikes on one side and taking all her attacks. I do 4 abyss shrieks at the start with shaman stone but it doesn't totally bypass that and you still have to deal with all that shite before the sword rain thing, that's pretty easy.

I'm reaching the platform phase a lot now, just getting messed up there.

Haha like what?
Basically how everyone while playing this got pissed or taken aback by the kind of challenges in the game and didn't think they would go all the way only to get everything done and go way further. Also reading stuff now having been through most of that I can relate to most of it so much more haha.

For Broken Vessel use the Defenders Crest charm by beating the piss easy dung defender. That helps a bit.

Thanks! Ended up beating him fairly quickly in one go once I updated the nail with pale ore. Defender's crest was useful too cause I didn't have to worry about the ghosts. Now onto whatever else awaits. Have already sunk so many hours into this game and I feel like there's still a ton left to explore and do.

Phew! Finally got the Radiance after 15 odd straight attempts. Was getting fecked on the platform stage with her either being too far up or right in my fecking face. This time got a couple of healing windows which was very lucky and then got to the climb for the first time on my last fecking mask. Was absolutely sure I would brick it and start crying but got lucky with the RNG there and got to the top and smash! feck off you infecting fecking bitch.

On a side note. If I felt this much frustration on fighting her so many times with only that shit THK to beat to reach her can't even imagine what people who beat entire last pantheon would feel when dying at the last stage. That's like a half an hour of senseless grind all over again.

You are pretty much at the best stage in the game. Faced enough areas and bosses to get a good hang of it. Have good enough perks to fearlessly go around the whole place and still and ton of stuff left to explore. That exploration is awesome. Enjoy it while it lasts as the withdrawal symptoms from this are painful as hell.

I think the idea is to make it to Absolute Radiance once to unlock her and then practice her over and over in Hall of Gods until you can beat her consistently. At least in theory.

Yeah Radiance wasn't too unpredictable. I was just bad at reflexes at some of the stuff especially the side sword wall. But still one wrong step and you are looking at going at all 40 or so guys again which is a massive grind if nothing more. You need to have practiced all the tough bosses as many times as radiance as in my opinion and pretty much beat all of their radiant versions.

I've tried the initial pantheon and get to the end most times but it's just such a yawn if I die randomly and know I have to beat all those jobbers again and thats just the first one.

Come on man you can get to 107%

The last 5% are Trial of Fools and the 4 pantheons. I didn't bother getting these.

Have a look at this and see what is that last % you are missing.

Stop. I've come this far. Have mercy on this poor soul.

Yeah its just that last vessell fragment mainly. Other is seers last words which I can get. So 106.

Need help in staying off this now for a few weeks so that I lose the muscle memory and can't come back to it. I think about moving to other games only to come back to this.

Just get the last fragment?

I've been searching high and low for a replacement. Gonna buy Celeste tonight, hopefully that'll cure the itch.

Why not just give Trial of the Fool a go? See how far you get.
Yeah I didn't find the other trials that big an issue. After a while you just memorize their spawns so unless it's aspids going apeshit you are good but just don't feel that urge to grind that out especially as there's no reward unlike the other two. Will probably leave it for a day I'm really bored.

That last one is in Deepnest for which you need to pogo non stop on top of those stupid huge worms. feck that.

Oh yeah that bit. It took me a few goes. The side scrolling worms were easy. The vertical one took me ages.

yea, every time I start up the game I tell myself I'll play for an hour so I can prolong it but let's be real, once I start up I don't stop until something makes me :')
Think I'll get deepnest out of the way so I can just enjoy the exploration and collect and interact with as many things as possible.
Honestly I'm happy that I didn't start playing this game till recently, hopefully the wait for Silksong is almost over though I'm playing it on ps4 so might not even be able to get it on there.

Celeste looks awesome. It's from the guys who made Towerfall a game I absolutely loved playing and this looks like a single player journey version with the same graphics and characters with loads of more stuff. The combat system is beautifully smooth. I'll think of getting this as well.

Hollow Knight is one of the easiest bosses in the game but also quickly becomes the biggest pain in the arse when you are trying to beat The Radiance.
I actually think THK is the worst part about the game. I thought it was easy beating him with nail based charm but even later on with having to play Radiance I went in with unbreakable strength, shaman stone, soul catcher and spell twister. And I swear it was pretty much just as easy. Given I tried this fight so many times as Radiance was fecking me up I really found THK as an absolutely pathetic boss. I'm not joking, a couple of times I literally stood still kept taking damage and kept smashing him without even having quick slash he just went down. Even False Knight is not that bad.

I get it that you can be over levelled late game and some late bosses are actually easier but as the fecking title character he should be so much better. All his moves are slow as hell and brutally telegraphed. Maybe it was just developed early on before they added faster mechanisms and stuff to other bosses but yeah, basically with just one charm focused on him and never ever using any spells he always just went down like he was made of straw. Not just easy but just downright cannon fodder.

Radiance on the other hand was great fun especially with the double damage and such a range of attacks. Good thing they have that as the actual final boss.

Been playing Celeste. Loving it. Simple but challenging.

Not sure it's your thing as it's a bit like White Palace... But the whole game.
