He is their 5th best scorer in the league, now that Haller left, he is their 4th highest goal scorer in the league.

Very good start, hopefully he will play well so that teams will be very interested in signing him.

Also not good enough for ManUtd doesn't mean bad player for every team in the league. People keep repeating "he won't start for any top 10 team, or any team in the league", there you go. Player who barely made our match day squad is starting for 5th best team in the league.

tbh Lingard can fool people because of his image which lends itself well to the perpetually raw 19 yr old meme that he has become. On a serious note, a lack of miles means that he can play into his mid-30s at the right kind of club, from around Mourinho's second season to the injury ravaged 4 months of the previous season he hasn't played all that much.

Contrary also to the memes about him that has a lot of buy-in, he is definitely top-10 quality. no body would have convinced me that a guy who has won a couple of trophies and generally has good work rate along with a rep for scoring goals won't play semi regularly for teams like Newcastle, West ham, West Brom, Crystal Palace, Sheffield United, etc. People are kidding themselves if they felt the only offers he would get would be from championship teams.

He scored 4 goals with Birmingham on his debut too. He is the type of guy who always like new environment, staying at United for a long time was a big mistake for him. Just take Piazon's path of career then.

This is why formatting is important. I am sure there are some good points here, but the lack of structure + no capitalization, hurts my eyes.

It isn't that long so you can still indignify yourself and read it. I was typing from my phone which is not very friendly to pleasing punctuation nazis. Brief as your own post is I won't point out the eyesores on it if it doesn't add anything to the post or the discussion in question.

Hope he can keep this run going. Whether he's returning or not, some of the criticism he received for being in poor form was outright idiotic. Hope it works out for him, career and financial wise

Also, my post did encourage you to re-format your original post. Which made it so much better. So maybe my brief post wasn't totally useless

Happy for the lad! May his form continues. Away from the pressure and limelight may help revive his career.

Remember when dickheads started crying that we triggered the extra year in his contract?

Yeah, dickheads.

Lingard will bring in a tidy fee in the summer; this was (clearly) always the thinking.

I've always said that he's such a great talent and so valuable to the team, imo still our best option on the right wing, and I feel we can challenge Bruno if given a run of games through the middle. Great goals too, not sure even Neuer would have saved those.

Hopefully!!

he still has time to prove a lot of people right. Just getting a fee for him would be decent I feel. One game with two goal, both of which should have been saved doesn’t change that.

Knowing us, if he keeps playing like this we will keep him and give him new contract.

Please don't say that. I believe ole will have more sense than that, even if Woodward does not.

Let's hope these kind of performances will convince west ham to part with around 10 million for him.

Obviously the only normal response is to be pleased he had a great debut. How fecking bitter do you have to be to not care how a United player gets on on loan? And that’s without even getting into his homegrown, local lad status. So he obviously deserves a bit more goodwill than most. People are weird.
It's sounds as though the issues are personal to yourself but you're taking it out on Lingard.
ah here we go the personal attack wondered how long it would be before that got brought up, its the same every time.
i wonder why you can only go a couple of posts then go after the poster

Lingard defo has some value and 10mil fee is realistic fee to get. But Ole was little reluctant about this loan. He still likes Lingard. So i would not exclude new contract if his loan will be success.

Maybe because you seemed to go personal on Jesse in the post Dante quoted

He and Moyes are a match made in heaven. Both plenty good enough for lower-mid table, Lingard will thrive in the space he gets at West Ham. Neither good enough for a top team.

Hopefully it shows that our cast offs are of far more valuable than Liverpool's to these lower clubs, maybe it'll put an end to their era of receiving £20m for all their average players and it'll be funnelled to us instead.

Hopefully. We should make decent money on our players.

I'm pleased for the lad. He obviously works hard in training, and seems to be in a better place regarding his problems at home, hopefully now resolved. If we're talking about his coming back to United in the summer, I honestly cannot see where Jesse would fit in with the current team, and, to me, he would only get a place on the bench, so the best answer for all is a permanent move to another Premiership club. As long as he keeps performing well, and scoring goals, there may be several clubs interested ultimately.

In a season when he only played 932 league minutes. The likes of Martial and Pogba have gone on longer droughts.
League Form
0 Goals
1 Assist
In the whole of 2019 when he was playing regularly. Show us a similar record for Martial or Pogba.
Guys a joke and I'm so glad to finally be rid.
He's now upped his game, playing for his final big contract as doesn't want to end up in a lower league. I hope it leads to us getting a decent fee for him.
Next season, he'll revert back to being shit with a shiny new contract hopefully with West Ham as I can't stand that club.

yea, I used to be like you. Then I realized content matters more. I also realized that a lot of time is wasted in asking us to unnecessarily adhere to language and formatting rigor growing up. The longer in the tooth you get the more you realize that.

digression over.
