Looks like he's taken to this level like a duck to water, not really surprising.

I'm glad we've started utilising the loan system, so much better than sitting there playing reserve football twice a month.

Garner's pass to Sarr was perfect. Unfortunately, his first touch didn't set himself for the short.

Top talent. Technically he's a sublime midfielder

He MUST learn to exert himself in games though.

Lets hope he can develop a lot in this loan spell..

Anyone watching the Watford game? Some really really good football bring played by both teams.
Garner will learn a lot from playing in this set up, really good to see

Pretty anonymous 45 other than the booking, doesn't impose himself on the game & looks lost half the time. No doubt he has great passing and technique for sure but he looks afraid to me.

I think anyone expecting a young lad to come in and start dictating play in centre mid role is a bit deluded.

He is obviously getting to grips with first team football, living in London, getting used to new team mates and manager. Of course he's going to have games where he struggles to make an impact. It's all part of the development and will help him in the long run.

Given comp for places at utd, there are no guarantees for any young player to breakthrough. This is a patience game but I think Garner has the potential, he just has to fulfil it.

I worry about his mentality to be honest. For all his talent he seems gun shy when I’ve seen him playing senior football.

How has he been doing the last few weeks? Seems to be playing a lot.

What a shame - it started so well too.

I was hoping to gain some insight from Forest fans on him by looking through Twitter, but literally any tweet from Forests account regarding Garner is inundated with Utd fans asking “how good is he” over and over again like some annoying 10 year old.

And I’m fairly sure they’re hijacking the Forest MOTM votes too in favour of Garner.

Twitter is the worst place for that kind of insight. Try the Forest forum.

Is it fair to say that the team could really do with a player of Garner’s style? We’ve not managed to replace Carrick yet (Matic was okay for a couple of years).
