"We are aware of words like Shramjeevi, Buddhijeevi, but I am observing that a new Jamaat has recently taken birth in India known as Aandolanjeevi", said Prime Minister Modi.

He added that this Aandolanjeevi Jamaat is seen everywhere be it student protests, lawyer protests or labour protests.

"They sometimes remain behind the curtain our appear in the public. This Aandolanjeevi group cannot live without protests and its members continually keep finding ways to stoke protests"

"All these Aandolanjeevis are Parjeevis (Parasites)", he added.

Hmm.. Interesting use of the Urdu/Arabic word "Jamaat" from someone who speaks excellent Hindi.
As usual, talking nonsense. Nothing new then

Of course it is nonsense.
The usage of word Urdu word "jamaat" is what caught my eye. First use jamaat, then the word parjivi (parasite) for them. And a fancy new word "andolanjivi"

Calling protestors as parasites did not seem to have the intended effect though, with many people in social media happy to be called andolanjivis and parjivis. The memes have won this round.

I am disappointed that he didn't use the words "andolan jihad". He's getting soft in his meditative state.

If all the tricks fail then expect a govt sponsored riot breaking out.

I'm waiting for the day Yogi/Modi get some recognition from these foreign media organizations or even entities. Would love to apply the same logic then.

Also, I hope Bhakts won't use the argument of improving foreign relations under Modi now.
Just recently an article praising Yogi was published in Time Magazine.
article was an ad actually, lolzy

'Will credit Rs 18,000 in your bank accounts if you bring BJP to power,' Home Minister Amit Shah tells Bengal farmers

“Don’t worry. Bring BJP to power. We will ensure in the first cabinet meeting that we credit Rs 18,000, including Rs 12,000 you lost, in your bank accounts,” Shah said, asking the chief minister why is she blocking money of poor farmers.

In the address, Shah also invoked the "Jai Shri Ram slogan" issue, a flashpoint in the poll-bound state since January.

"If ''Jai Shri Ram'' is not chanted in India, will it be raised in Pakistan?" Shah said accusing Mamata Banerjee of getting angry at ''Jai Shri Ram'' slogan.

“She will begin chanting it by the time assembly polls are over," he said.

Money is from PM Kishan support which Mamata Banerjee is blocking in West Bengal. It's not bribe, it's clearly mentioned in the article which wasn't posted here.

I guess killing in cold blood with cctv footage is still not enough if you have political cloud. I guess only reason why her case is not being shouted by every so called "activists" is because she belongs from wrong community.

Wait a min. Now the "activists" are responsible for this too :lol: .
If the RW jamaat who control 70% of the media, can get their faces out from Dear Leader's beard for a minute, then they will have time to see the other issues that are happening in the country.

NEW DELHI — Key evidence against a group of Indian activists accused of plotting to overthrow the government was planted on a laptop seized by police, a new forensics report concludes, deepening doubts about a case viewed as a test of the rule of law under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

An attacker used malware to infiltrate a laptop belonging to one of the activists, Rona Wilson, before his arrest and deposited at least 10 incriminating letters on the computer, according to a report from Arsenal Consulting, a Massachusetts-based digital forensics firm that examined an electronic copy of the laptop at the request of Wilson’s lawyers.
Many of the activists have been jailed for more than two years without trial under a stringent anti-terrorism law. Human rights groups and legal experts consider the case an attempt to suppress dissent in India, where government critics have faced intimidation, harassment and arrest during Modi’s tenure.

Arsenal’s report on the Indian case does not identify the perpetrator of the cyberattack. The analysis, which has not been previously reported, was reviewed by The Washington Post. Three outside experts who reviewed the document at The Post’s request said the report’s conclusions were valid.

Evidence like this has been used for ever, Binayak Sen was convicted of sedition and sentenced to life in 2011 based on him having publicly available books in his house and on supposedly exchanging documents with prisoners (even though he was searched every time he visited them in jail). Of course, SC was different then, so he got bail.

Difference now is SC seems to be making decisions one way, and also that the type of people against whom this evidence is used has widened a lot.

...

Don't know if I shared this here, but after telling my mother she cannot mention Modi by name, and then further censoring what she wrote, a newspaper cancelled her column suddenly after she wrote something critical of BJP, they said it was because they revamping the opinion page but she's not sure (there were no complaints when she criticised AIMIM, Congress, Sena). And last week a news website removed a sentence from an article which said, "even though our police often do not make us proud of our country, ..."

People complain about woke SJWs = censorship = cancel culture; this stuff, which is much more directly political than that, never gets the same tears, pontificating about Orwell, 1984, etc.

This is funny because the statement released by Canada is worded differently.
Yes of course. The govt wouldn't want to reveal the part where they discussed India's commitment to democratic principles and need of resolving issues through dialogue

All my life, I never understood how people can swayed by propoganda and rhetoric. That talking with them can eventually lead to a common ground. But what happens when you can't even agree on a shared reality? What if goal posts of reality keep getting moved.

US, UK, India have scared the feck out of me in the last few years

It is not that tough, especially in this age. You need money and lot of control over media both TV and social media. And then you constantly feed certain stuff to the public. Even if you are not a blind believer, you start thinking "Come on at least some % of that will be truth" and once that seed of doubt is put in your mind, confirmation bias will do the rest of the work.

And if you aren't learned enough or you do not have access to diverse outlets of news, then you pick your news from your society which is also fed same kind of things. So there is no escape.

And then when you have one good population buying your BS, then you pass it onto the kids and next generation grows in the propaganda and believe that is the truth.
My niece was 8 yr old, when she declared she liked Ranbir and not SRK. I asked her why? I was expecting her to say because SRK is old or Ranbir is cuter or something on those lines.
But she said "Because Ranbir is a Hindu and SRK is a Muslim". I asked her who told all this to her. She said all her friends talk about it. As if it was common knowledge. And this was even before 2014.

I remember getting into an argument about Babri Masjid demolition sometime in mid 90s with my best friend. He was pretty sure that a historical wrong has been corrected. And that we Hindus should support our temple.

US leftist controlled activists or some bullshit like that. Of course what happen in that case is terrible. Nobody should get away with such things and bend the rules to suppress action against themselves whether they are related to BJP people or Congress people. But while someone should have picked up on it, are we saying that where someone from the Congress is involved, the BJP doesn't have enough avenues to get this issue heard and known? As you say not even... the entire media machinery it has in the palm of its hands

Hate factory: Inside Kapil Mishra’s ‘Hindu Ecosystem’
We infiltrated the Telegram groups of the BJP leader’s online network to see what they do and how they operate.

If the ever-growing reality of Hindu Rashtra were one big Christmas, Kapil Mishra would be Santa Claus, and the members of his “Hindu Ecosystem” hardworking elves delivering the gift of religious hatred and bigotry, packaged in the seductive wrapping of Hindutva, to the masses, secretly but methodically.

On November 16 last year, Mishra, a former Aam Aadmi Party minister who is now with the BJP and has been accused of inciting the February 2020 Delhi carnage by the victims and activists, posted a tweet asking whoever was interested to fill in a form and join what he described as the “Hindu Ecosystem” team.

The form is straightforward – seeking such details as name, cellphone number, state and country of residence – but for one standout question. It asks the prospective footsoldier of the Hindu Ecosystem to state their “special area of interest” and, lest it wasn’t clear what that meant, gives a set of examples.

It also asks them to make a “declaration” about joining the group online and/or on the ground. Our curiosity was heightened and, of course, we had to join. We filled in the form and became members of the Telegram group. We were later added to other associated groups.

Thus we came to have a fly-on-the-wall view of how this ecosystem operates, how it creates propaganda material, how it comes up with toxic narratives, and how it manufactures trends across social media platforms to whip up communal hatred and bigotry, and, of course, support for Hindutva. Oh, they also share toolkits, like the one put out by the climate advocate Greta Thunberg to support the farmer protests over which the Delhi police have lodged an FIR, and arrested a young activist named Disha Ravi.

This is the sum of what we found: Kapil Mishra is leading a network of over 20,000 people who are working in an organised fashion to create and spread communal hatred.

Welcome to hate factory
On November 27, Misra posted a video for members of his network announcing that their first campaign would begin at 10 am that day, using the hashtag #JoinHinduEcosystem.

He said about 27,000 people had filled in the form and nearly 15,000 people had joined the Telegram group. Additionally, 5,000 people had signed up with the Hindu Ecosystem’s “Twitter team”. No points for guessing what social and gender groups the members came from: going by the usernames they were mostly upper caste Hindu men.

There was even someone impersonating Adityanath, Hindutva mascot and Uttar Pradesh chief minister. Because, why not? The first campaign was intended to get more people to join by tweeting out “sample tweets” with the given hashtag.

The same day, Mishra announced a parallel campaign to have people subscribe to Organizer and Panchjanya, house journals of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the mothership of the multitude of Hindu supremacist organisations and militias called the Sangh Parivar.

To this end, videos were shared on the Hindu Ecosystem Telegram group featuring union minister Prakash Javadekar and MP Manoj Tiwari promoting Panchjanya.

It was just the beginning. The group was soon inundated by a cascade of documents on running large-scale, far-reaching online campaigns to support, promote and “save” Hindutva in an organised fashion.

Spamming away to glory
The Hindu Ecosystem believes in spamming Twitter. Every week, they pick up a theme and do an intensive campaign around it, ready with mass propaganda and a bunch of fake news with bad aesthetics, to push the Hindutva ideology. In fact, in the Telegram group, they have pinned a message highlighting the topics that they will run organized campaigns on.

To understand how sample tweets work, see this document which was shared in the Telegram group. It is full of links such as these:

This is a URL code. Once you click on it you are redirected to Twitter and this happens:

Magic!

All the ecosystem members need to do is hit “Tweet” and, boom, Twitter spammed! If enough people spam it at the right time, the hashtag starts trending. Just scroll down this trend and you can spot the pattern easily.

There are several such documents in the Telegram group, with detailed instructions on when and how to start posting the tweets. Here’s one on #AntiHinduCAAriots and another on the Delhi carnage:

And here is the result. Thousands and thousands of such tweets were posted.

They don’t just spam Twitter, they also monitor social media to see if they are making any impact. Screenshots are shared about how their posts are doing, with encouragement to push tweets more and spam more.

Resource material
Aside from sample tweets, resource material and toolkits are often shared in the group. They come with such titles as “Islam News”, “Irresponsible China”, and “Church Speaks”.

What do these documents contain? Here is the one on “Islam News”.

The idea seems to be to supply constant whataboutery ammunition against Christianity, Islam, and China. Because, besides news items, tips are occasionally supplied about how to present a news story.

A key point that is being made to denounce the Greta toolkit as an “international conspiracy” against India is that it contained dates for when to conduct online and offline activities to draw attention to the farmer protests. The Hindu Ecosystem does the same, but where Greta shared one document to support a legitimate cause, Mishra’s group shares multiple documents a day to increase hate towards different minority communities.
In case you are interested in following the future campaigns of the group, they have provided a calendar for March. Enjoy.

Generation of content. Wonder how that works? Well, we can throw some light on that.
