Feet up at home.
Somone in the know (they say) is telling me Klopp is leaving soon. Perhaps temporarily.

Please take it with a pinch of salt but I've not seen it on here yet.

Bullshit. It's an easy thing to throw out there considering the poor results and personal circumstances.
I'm gonna listen to you and not the other two posters above. Why? Because you got "Actually Nostradamus" as your tagline.

I don’t think he’ll leave mid season but I think this will be his last at Liverpool.

He’s done everything he can do at Liverpool.

All that's left is for him to throw a kettle over Anfield.

Tbf I wouldn't blame him, work life gone to shit compounding other issues, I'd be gone immediately.

Granted my job isn't quite the same as his.

I read the other day that he had become "disillusioned" with the owners for refusing to back him over the summer.

Not sure if it's related to this latest rumour.

This Liverpool team has run its cause to a natural end. Burned out after 3-4 intense seasons with almost the same players bar the odd addition. Salah will almost certainly move on in the summer too, IMO. The question is, is Klopp a rebuilder to go again or is he a one time whirlwind that leaves when the flame goes out? Looking at his previous record, I would say it will be the second one.

Just going off what I’m seeing on twitter. I would be amazed if he leaves. Could maybe see him having a month off or something at the most.
Do managers ever take a month off mid season? I think he’ll go end of the season

If Liverpool miss out on the top four I can see FSG cashing in on as much players as possible. They are on the verge of a big problem.

The Daily Star is reporting "Klopp odds-on to quit Liverpool in the next few days"

Then again, this is the same Daily Star that once reported "Ghost of Micheal Jackson bummed my monkey" so they perhaps aren't the most reliable source.

Klopp was furious with VAR Stuart Attwell over Maddison’s free-kick equaliser, claiming the official paused the replay at the wrong moment and his goal should have been ruled out for offside.

The official VAR picture showed Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino’s heel playing everyone onside.

But Klopp fumed: “VAR should be completely objective but it’s not, because somebody has to make a decision whether it’s offside or not and which is the moment when we judge the offside.
“I’ve seen the replay plenty of times and Maddison didn’t even touch the ball when Stuart Attwell judged the situation.”

From what I understood when contact is made with the ball VAR automatically gets a still image of the play as it is. Which makes Klopp point completely inaccurate.

A new thread title perhaps ?

We’ve never been in this situation before in fairness. Gerrard will be next anyway, I’d like them to get a lot worse before he takes over.
I think this teams done without some new additions. They’ve been run at 100mph for several years now and a good few of them look fecked.
Interesting thing about Klopp as well and anyone who’s had a hyper-manic boss like him will sympathise. When your boss is so intense all the time, so frantic about everything, it drains you in the long term. It’s alright when things are going well but when the chips are down it’s fecking hard coping with that management style. I do wonder what effect he has on the players at times like this

It's increasingly starting to look like all Klopp really does is inspire players to overwork themselves unsustainably and burn themselves out in a handful of years. While there might be something to be said of a manager who can motivate players to that extent, it's not exactly great if it plunges the club into the abyss after a few seasons of wearing themselves down to the bone.

If Liverpool don't bounce back next season, it starts to become fair to compare Klopp to the act of pissing your pants in order to stay warm. You hire him to inject your club with a few years of overperformances, followed by collapse.

Abyss is a bit strong. He had a dip in performance with Dortmund his last season there, and there seems to be a bit of a regression at Liverpool, but he's not exactly leaving his clubs in crisis. You'd have a point if Liverpool were a few points off relegation

Anyway this stuff about his core being expired and him needing a new start elsewhere is nonsense. They should treat this season as a write off and use the remainder of the season to bed Thiago in properly and evaluate more of their fringe players.

People were saying the same guff about Pep last season.

I am 100% confident this group of players wont reach the same heights they did from 17-19. Salah and Mane look shot and regarding VVD, doing your ACL at that age is no joke. Also Klopp himself seems a bit drained

This is not a blip in form, they have regressed badly for a while now and i cincerely doubt they will bounce back under Klopp without big investments.

Missing out on CL is also a real possibility

In fairness, Pep got a cash injection that Klopp can only dream of.

You may be right but I think that when that aura of invincibility is shattered, it's difficult to reach the same heights.

There's never a guarantee of reaching the same heights even with better managers, but his resume at this point indicates that if he was to stay on, he would have Liverpool challenging for trophies for a good while.
