So theoretically, your Ole and you have a £80mil transfer budget this summer. Who do you buy and for what position?

For clarity sakes, you can't add to the budget through player sales. Its £80mil thats your lot.

Choose wisely....

I’d try and get Sancho for the RW - have Amad as backup, throw Greenwood up as a 9, and throw Martial away at whoever wants him, even if it doesn’t add to the budget.

CB and/or CDM.

This defense is leaking goals and need fixing. Scoring goals hasn't been a big problem this year (although 9-0 skewed the stats somewhat).

Haaland. We'd be night and day a different side with him upfront. A past his best Cavani has shown what a proper #9 can give to this side.

Haaland. Even if it takes every single penny of that and top wages.

No doubt in my mind. We need a proper top class no 9 here and he is the best out there.

There is almost no other alternative signing to him for the level we require, which is why he takes precedent over any other signing. Even though we still need a CB, DM and RW.

Cannot waste another season with lazy players like Martial. Frankly it will get Ole the sack, he needs to address it with this lad for next season.

Edit: Ramos on a free as well
With Diallo and Mejbri being promoted to the first team as one or two others mentioned.

People here asking for haaland yet completely forget that we desperately need a right winger. The only postion we don't actually have a proper player. And no Diallo isn't it, yet.

Sell martial and try sign Haaland and a centre back with a head like concrete

And still find ourselves unbalanced on the right

I can't name a specific player, as I frankly don't know enough about the likes of Zacharia and Kanate, but I will say that I'd rather take a risk on Diallo being the answer at RW (with the comfort of knowing that Greenwood can also do a job there) than take a risk on having having another year of Maguire and Lindelof together at the back. Thus, a top CB is the priority, in my opinion.

That's not much these days. Maybe Wilfred Ndidi.

80 million isn't enough to get us where we need to be. Therefore, I'd sell Pogba and Lingard(to West Ham?) and hope that it results in an extra 60-70 million. 150 million could potentially get us those 2-3 top players we need.

I'll leave the actual scouting to the muppets. I'm a fan of Haaland so I'll be happy if it results in his arrival. I also want a beast of CB and a reliable CM/DM.

I’d sell martial & Pogba which should raise an additional £100m. West Ham would probably take Lingard at about 20-25m. Then I’d target Sancho, Ndidi & Kounde. Greenwood as backup 9 to Cavani. Then I’d target Haaland & Grealish the following year.

DDG/Henderson

AWB/Dalot
Kounde/Bailly
Maguire/Lindelof
Shaw/Telles

Ndidi/Matic
Van de Beek/Fred
Bruno/Scott

Sancho/Diallo
Rashford/James
Cavani/Greenwood

Maguire & Lindelof be each other’s replacements. Never to be played together. Scott & Fred no longer needed to protect the back 4 doing 1 man’s job, Ndidi sole DM. Bruno & VDB starting 8’s

Its got to be a WC or as close as dammit CD for Lindelofs place first off. There are numerous problems and if there is any money left then someone who can play DM and pass a ball.
Greenwood and Amad must be given the RW in this scenario. Drop Fred or McTom for Pogba (if still here) or VDB as an accomplice to play CM/AM with Bruno would help us loads up front. Rashford as poor as he is must stay LW and Cavani upfront. I would try Greenwood up there in the Carabou cup.

This. No brainer. Ramos would come on a free and 80 million should cover Haaland's transfer fee + his wages and Ramos's wages. Bet Dortmund now wish they would have a higher release clause fee, although I won't be surprised if they have a secret agreement with Haaland to increase his release clause fee.

Ramos maybe free but he will want astronomical wages and contract length which would be stupid to hand out at his age. Guy is 35.

A top CB for me. I dont know enough about Kounde whom we are linked to. If it happens that the club decide to sign someone linke Ramos for a season or two then so be it.

Proper competition for AWB, so it gets the best out of him. Like Telles signing has done to Shaw.

I'd look at the free transfer market/loan deal for a striker (as ive pissed all my money away already). Dunno what strikers who are good and experienced are available this summer on a free.

We are in more desperate need of a CF or regular reliable goal scorer. Haaland will score 25 league goals. A RW most likely will not. What would be the point of a RW supplying unreliable forwards?

What does this mean? Because this certainly isn't correct in a literal sense.

Sell Pogba and Martial add to the 80 and actually reinvest the money. Say for arguments sake we end up up with 160 which we have no notion of reinvesting but there you go.

Partey and Jota would have been perfect replacements last summer. This summer I don’t really have a clue.

Koopmeiners (LCB/CDM) - a erevidise player for 20 million?

Sancho (RW) - 60 million after he throws a rut at Dortmund

Invest the money in a time machine, go back and buy Pele for a world record £100k.

Doesn't Haaland have a release clause fee of 75 million euros? What I was saying is 80 million pound should cover his release clause fee in addition to his wages and Ramos's wages.

Sell Martial (40M) & Pogba (60M), Lingard (20M) if possible.

Buy Haaland (100M), Sancho (70M), Ramos (Free).

Wait until the following year to get a CDM and CM upgrade, if Ramos leaves after a year or two get a CB then.

I honestly think McT, Matic and Fred are ok for another year if the attack can be fixed.

We'd be incredibly lucky to get offered half of those fees in the summer.

Lingard and Pogba with 1 year left on their contracts. No club in covid era is going to be particularly keen on a mega money move for Pogba. PSG might offer £40m if we're lucky.

No club in European football is going to offer any significant amount for Martial with the way he's been this season.

Sell Martial, sell Pogba (he obviously wants to leave), hope Dortmund don't qualify for the CL and enjoy their fire sale. And buy a defender too.

I would be look to raise extra funds by selling Martial and Pogba. Let a few others go as well to free up wages.

I would then buy Haaland and a CB. Maybe a MF as well.
