Really enjoyed watching him tonight. Comes for the ball, confident with it at his feet, and really good distribution.

They weren’t very threatening but I felt quite calm with him in goal. Usually I’m a bit skittish for crosses and back passes but he was in control most of the time. Good performance.

I want to highlight the one in the first half where he came and collected a ball as the man was running in to head it in.

He was fouled and dropped the ball but what's important to focus on is he turned a certain goal into our free kick.

De Gea would have been rooted to the line hoping to make a brilliant save.

Henderson snuffed out the danger and prevented any major risk of conceeding.

He’s a far better all-round GK than DDG, and instils much more confidence in me as a result. I’m sure our defence feel the same way.

Fans always worried about his passing range when he used to play for SUFC but he is showing not just he is better GK in air than DDG but he is better distributor than DDG.

Looked totally in command in his area, finally time to give him the opportunity I think.
Am I mistaken or did Henderson clear the ball with both feet, and gets good distance as well.

The "experts" over on YouTube will give Henderson a 6/10 tonight because he didn't really have to make any saves. Those of us who actually know the position also know that a great keeper is proactive and stops scoring chances before they come. We could hear Henderson controlling his defense and he came for balls that De Gea would have stuck on his line for. Solid, confident performance and deserves to play some more...

Yeah, that was top class from him. Got both hands on the ball and ensured it was nothing but a foul.

Watching the TV or is it watching me
He is aggressive when the ball is in and around the box this helps the defense no end.

They need to give him a run now just to see if he is the answer because right now he is better than this version of De Gea

Start him the next 3 league games. We'll know a lot about him one way or the other by the end of them.

Clearly a level above De Gea at this point. The club needs to work out a solution with DDG for both our and his sake, because he can't continue being the number 1 anymore.

Ole is stubborn and risk adverse so De Gea won't be getting dropped but as it stands Deano is showing he is better at De Gea in a lot of areas.

Yep - Goldbridge is a De Gea fanboy. The clear learning from tonight is that we're a much better team with Henderson and Bailly rather than Lindelof and De Gea

Quality. He’s so much more reassuring when it comes to dealing with balls in the air. Also was impressed with his distribution but one of the most notable things was how vocal he was on the pitch. You constantly heard him screaming “keepers ball” or “leave it” when there was an incoming ball in the box, something you rarely hear from De Gea and it helps cut out any confusion that can lead to mistakes.

Seems to be very aware of what our biggest frailty is and emphasizing how good that area of his game is. Must have thrown his hat in the ring by now. He was important tonight, despite not needing to make any top class saves.

Very solid performance. He clearly talks and commands far better than De Gea and frankly I think that will prevent more goals than the odd wonder save. Was also really impressed with his distribution. He perhaps doesn’t look as technically sound as Dave but I thought the accuracy and distance on his kicks was far better and started some dangerous attacks which is something top keepers have in the locker. Promising but he needs a run with Ole won’t give him.

I think it was right before our 3rd goal, they put a floating cross into 6 yard box and he came out and collected it.

If it was David, well nvm.

I need more time to see how his shot-stopping ability is though.

I actually enjoy watching Goldbridge in the main, but his De Gea obsession is a real source of annoyance. He just refuses to acknowledge his many faults and continual decline.

No that happened, he looked comfortable doing it

Our third goal happens due to his anticipation for their cross.
May seem harsh on ddg but I can't remember the last goal he started for us like that. Seems like ages ago (waiting for somebody to say a few games ago haha)

Loved how he decided to just pass it long when our defence started the usual pissing about when playing from the back routine, and it was pretty good.

Just looks much more assured with him and Baily both in there, a GK who is not rooted to his line and a CB with great pace.

Fingers crossed, the Europa will be perfect for him as if he can keep playing like he did tonight, he can hopefully give Ole serious decisions to make- presumably he will be used for the Europa though not sure what Ole will do if we get to the final

It gives him a chance to get used to playing for United, with slightly less pressure than the PL would put on him

If he can get another couple of good performances, and DDG keeps blundering, I'd consider giving him some PL games

Been telling you guys that he is the real deal. Ever since I saw him play in the Brighton and Hove game in the cup I knew he was an improvement on DDG. The man has that calming presence on the defense that VDS and Schmeichel had(not comparing him to them).

If we have an ounce of ambition as a club, DDG should be sent on an early vacation and leave Deano as out No.1 for the rest of the season. But we all know it's not going to happen. Ole never drops his favorites. Hence my main reason for wanting him to go.

It's really good. Not prime De Gea or Schmeichel good, but definitely PL level good.

Henderson, Bailly, Maguire.

Give it 10 games.
That's a big ask from both the manager and... Bailly
