Absolutely no surprise that he's doing well. The way a lot of the negative nellys went on about him you'd think he wasn't good enough for the championship.

So glad he's playing well.

Got dogs abuse here during the darkest time of his life

Delighted for him. He’s a good player but he can’t compete with Bruno

Because he was shit. He wasn’t ‘abused’ though. Happy he’s doing well but it’s a classic case of needing to impress. He was too comfortable here, in my opinion.

Does show what Fergie saw in him.

Hope he does well there and they sign him. Do not want him back at United.

Was just thinking about that. People have this weird idea that not having financial worries somehow makes you immune to all the other stresses and anxieties in life.

Having your (single) parent become sufficiently mentally ill that they need to be admitted to hospital is a grim ordeal for anyone. Even more so if that parent is the primary carer for school age siblings. The lack of sympathy Jesse got while he was going through this was pretty disgraceful IMO.

I don't agree. It definitely got personal, blaming his off field work etc without an appreciation for his off field personal troubles.

It was well over the top.

Liked him but not a fit for United... United should really have a starting squad of composed of 11 out of the top 200 or so players in the world. He was always never going to be good enough, but still a fellow I liked.

hope he continues his good form elsewhere and I will be a fan and watchhis goal highlights.

Happy he's doing well. Both on a personal level for him but also that we maybe finally can get a decent fee for a player we have no use for, like Liverpool seems to get all the time.

Totally agree. He was torn apart for everything, his celebrations, his "childish" behaviour, his off field enterprise's, but hardly anyone acknowledged this side of his life which obviously hugely effected his game.

Maybe yeah. He did take the piss a bit though, during a time where we were performing the worst some of us have seen in our lifetime. Can only go off what you see. Doesn’t deserve personal abuse of course but do feel some of the stick was warranted.

Hopefully he’s happy now though. Do like him.

His stock will never be as high as it currently is. Sell him for £20m.

His on field play definitely left a lot to be desired since after the world Cup or so but it just didn't stop there which was unfair to him for what he was trying to deal with of the field.

You can tell how well he's liked at WHU already. He's a great character but got abuse for that here and labelled childish.

We've always been a fanbase that are way too quick to turn on players unfortunately. I still don't think he's good enough to start for United but its great news for us that he is doing well there. A few clubs are going to want him now and we should get good money

Oh neither do I. I think for him and us it's time to move on. He seems to be enjoying West ham and playing well, I think we need to sell.

I'm more commenting on the over the top abuse he got without consideration for what he was dealing with.

I don't care what he does there as long as he can convince them to buy him permanently. He wasn't good enough to be at United, period. What he does outside United is irrelevant for that matter. Good luck for him, nice lad and all, but I'm not going to forget all the last years for few games with WHU.

So happy for him. Shows what a change of scenery can do for someone. He's not someone who can perform to his best when he doesn't have the trust to be a key player, a lot of players have the same problem. Too much pressure/expectation to take limited chances at a big club and then they struggle. Going down to a solid team like West Ham where he'll start and be a key player, and he shows his best form instantly. I hope he stays for his own good, as it's a perfect match the way West Ham are building right now. Can easily be a regular europa league team.

Happy for him!

He has shown he has enough quality for the PL - should get us a decent fee in the summer.

Poeple are ready to defend Ravel Morrison to death, but Lingard is free to be shat on.

I don't get it. Many footballers have different issues but its OK for some and not OK for others. Really happy for Lingard, I hope he can secure that move and go on and help West Ham for a european spot.

He really needed a change of scenery

He's obviously good enough for the Manchester United squad. The problem is that there's a toxic section of United fans who aren't good enough for him.

I’m pleased he’s showing that he’s a good Premier League player. He always had the look of a player who would do well for a team like West Ham where he’s not having to dribble through packed defences or pick clever passes.

He needed to simplify his game. Jesse is at his best when he's working hard, making space for others, making efficient passes and taking shots from dangerous positions. His fortunes changed at united when he started playing like he was trying to add to the YouTube compilation videos and then when he was being less effective his confidence dropped.

It should be a lesson to young footballers trying to make it that while you should play without fear but making efficient plays is better than 'silks'.

This ibagree with 100%

Same fans who turned in lukakku and pogba.

Lingard is good enough for this club.. hes an extremely talented and versatile player. Even if its not in the starting 1q.. hes thebtype of player we need to make our squad strong forba title challenge.. with how certain guys are performing right now he could slot in and pick up their slack
