I wasn’t talking about last night, he has done it before and I don’t think it’s very sportsmanlike in a proper fight.

It’s obvious if you turn your back or feign an illegal blow that your opponent will hesitate. It’s not the right way to do things in my opinion.

He has also bragged in the past about his lack of training and application. I’m just not a fan of how he does things in general.
I can't remember him ever faking an eye poke, even the slightest touch to the eye is incredibly painful as well and can do some serious damage.

That's their problem if they hesitate though surely? You listen to the ref not the other fighter. Its a legitimate tactic and if they fall for it more fool them.

It looks bad on the other fighters if he doesn't train much and still is now the 3rd best heavyweight in the world. Goes back to my earlier point that its a terrible division

I have seen it on several occasions, only to take a swipe out of nowhere. It is the fighters fault obviously, but that doesn’t make it any more sportsmanlike for me. It’s just a small thing, but coupled with those two crazy blows on a cold opponent, I just suspect he is not the happy go lucky guy that the media displays.

I agree totally with you about the division, it is terrible. I guess that’s the price you pay at that weight and power. You can get by with a lot less cardio and dedication if you hit like a truck.

Yeah fair play....I think the 2 strikes weren't needed definitely.

Exactly, outside of the elite it's just such a poor division, Lewis isn't that good of a fighter and is probably in line for the title shot (although Jones will prob get it)

Anyone know why Hooker has to go through a 56 day quarantine ?

You have to book quarantine in NZ I think so he hung around in Abu Dhabi. I don't think it's all been quarantine technically but imagine it's still shit especially getting KOed in Round 1!

Hooker is from New Zealand, which has some of the strictest regulations in the world to defend against the coronavirus pandemic. It is working — there were only five new cases of COVID-19 in New Zealand on Tuesday compared to 185,070 in the U.S. — but to make it that way, the country is tough on travelers.

Hooker will have to stay in Abu Dhabi for nearly a month after the fight with Chandler. He won’t be able to travel to New Zealand until Feb. 21, the first time a slot was available for quarantine.

But when he arrives, he won’t be able to immediately see his wife, Isabella, or his daughter, Zoey. He’ll have to go into a two-week quarantine before he’ll be able to go home.

I always enjoy watching Dominick Cruz interviews. He is knowledgeable as hell, expresses himself well, and he tells it like he sees it.

Something he said here I found very touching. That MMA is not a game, that it's life or death, ,that the funny DC you see sometimes on a show isn't the same DC who was fighting Jon Jones or Stipe.

He said something about people on social media having this entire ''cancel culture'' thing and hurt feelings, and for him, the sport is just pure reality and that's why he does it.

Apart from hire he handled his loss to Cejudo, I've been a fan of everything Dom has done.

He looked lost in that fight. His next one will tell us where he's at.

I'm willing to believe it was an off night but you never know at his age.

It’s hard to have any sort of interest in Dillashaw anymore. Sure, his other samples were tested, but who can say whether it was just a smoother operation before such a severe weight cut found him out.

His whole career is up for debate. It’s hard to get excited about a comeback.

Hoping Sterling/Yan take him apart if that’s what they decide to do.

There's almost too much MMA on at the moment. The wife is starting to get annoyed that every Sunday morning is written off .

Looking forward to this next one. Both these fighters are top tier. BW is just that stacked right now.

Fantastic fight.

Leg kicks look like they’re gonna slow it right down though. Annoyingly effective.
