I refuse to believe Ronaldo is anything other than an absolute money maker for whatever club he’s at. He’s the biggest sports star in the world, he has the most followers on Instagram and the commercial revenue he brings in must be eye watering. I don’t think Juve should point to Ronaldo as the problem, the issue is signing terrible players like Ramsey on 400k a week.

I think theres a limit on what these players brings to an elite side. Its like when fans claimed Pogba was great for our marketing when its the other way around, we brought more eyes and more fans to him.
Madrids accounts didnt soar when they bought the most popular player from the club with the largest fanbase in the world and their accounts didnt tank after selling him to Juve.

Interestingly I’ve heard the money he earns from Instagram is more than the amount he earns from Juventus.

Wouldnt surprise me in the slightest. Bear in mind the growing 'influencer' culture where people get follows and advertise products etc. Ronaldo has 264 million followers! That is honestly ridiculous.

Perhaps that's the case for some players but I just think Ronaldo is unique. He's one of the most famous people in the world and has inspired generations of kids. Maybe Juve arent getting all the benefits of that but without a doubt, it will be having an impact.

Yeh I’ve heard he earn more than 1.2m per every sponsored post in Instagram, and he made over 40-45m every year just from posting on Instagram alone. He is basically making insane amount of money doing nothing.

their wage bill is always going to be high when signing Bosmans.

how much will Ramsey have cost them over the life of his contract?
He and Rabiot are on 200k/week euros gross because of favorable taxation (source: their accounting books, which are public because their title is floating in the market)

When it comes to football finance Swiss Ramble is as good as it gets. If they say this is the situation i would believe them as do all the best footy journalists.
Accounting books and official owners’ press releases > any reputable journo out there, without considering 2018-19 is ages ago... they have shed a lot of past-it mammooths in the meantime while adding youngsters

Myths like that never die, do they?

And nope, Ronaldo actually cannibalized the club, which is smaller than Real Madrid and built on 20+ good or very good players instead of 10+ Zidanes & 10+ Pavones. All in all, footballing wise it has been a mistake.

Never underestimate the power of marquee player.

Him moving to juve wouldnt make old farts like us changing our allegiance. But every year a new kid somewhere in the world start watching football, and if they happen to like ronaldo most likely juve would be their club going forwards.

Just like i started to support united watching beckham and co92. If they play for madrid then I'd be a madrid supporter.

The effect is long term off course. You wont see the rise in popularity translating to dollar anytime soon. But in the long run every trophy won is x new supporter, and for every x new supporter y would be a long term fans.
It's just statistic.

This concept may be alien to british who grew up watching their dad supported that one club. But for the rest of the world we have every clubs to choose. And whoever whores themselves the best got our allegiance

I've never heard of Crotone before, but that was 2 nice headers the other day He must be the best header ever. I had a look at the Juve forum though at it seems he has one of the worst conversion rates of free kicks in Seria A history. Seems weird how he lost that part of his game.

Terrible game but scores a stat padder at the end against a worthless opponent. He was visibly annoyed all game that he couldn't get the easy 3+ goals he had hoped for against this opponent.

Surely not worthy of the cringy SIIIUUU?

That part is true. His personal Instagram earning are greater than his Juve salary. No idea of that includes image rights and all the millions of extras he must make on the side but as a fact it’s true.

Looks like they're out in the last 16 against Porto. Knocked out at the same stage last season by Lyon. And Ajax in the quarters the season before. Their recruitment has been poor over the last few years and it shows.

Surely they'll need to create financial space and Ronnie must be thinking of moving, it's not as if they're likely to dramatically improve in the immediate future.

What are the options?

I know he has scored quite a few goals for them already, but he looks utterly lost out there today, like its the first time he played with this team or something.

Ronaldo again providing for his team while his team provides zero chances for him for 50 minutes.

Looked old today.

Then tops it off by bottling it in the wall.

He was poor today no doubt. However this Juve team is god awful. Ramsey and Rabiot are pins in the midfield.

Bernadeschi? Morata? Bentancur?

Literally a clown show of a team. He is wasting away his years at thus club.
