24 is still atrocious. How could anyone watch that garbage?

Hello @esmufc07
I’ve just started series 2 again, watched 1 about a year ago.

I’m already hooked and changed my ringtone to the “booo booo bee booo” like it’s 2002.

I think @Bojan11 should be banned for 24 hours. Then he can watch a season of 24 (5 is my favourite) and then apologise.
I watched all of S5 in one day with my mate back in the day. That was a gruelling day.

The next day we did all the extended LOTR films too.

I think I blitzed the last 14 episodes of that season (from when the episode where Edgar is killed to the finish).

Great performances from Charles and Martha.

Have been wondering how 24 would stand up pre Trump. I remember enjoying ghd first season but then it got way too over the top and Jack had to be the most hypocritical character of all time

I’ve watched Series 2 and 3 in a little over a week, powering through all series now

24 is fantastic for insomnia. I just leave it on every day, and I have had the best sleep I had in years. Thank you, Jack.

I just started re-watching this. Did anyone at all like his wife? Seems a strange choice to make her not in the least bit sympathetic.

Also, I fancy Nina Meyers.

Jack didn’t even like her.

I can't remember the season but at the end of it Jack has lost absolutely everything and was at the house of his wife/girlfriend. Her dad told him to leave and as he was walking away I thought "Oh shit, this'll be the moment where he finally snaps. Next season he'll be the villain!"

And then the next season was just Jack being Jack saving the world again.

The season that ends with Jack crying in the car was a decent one!

Just finished rewatching the first season again. I like the bit where Kim has a new hairstyle halfway through.

That was the end of Season 6 when Jack Heller told Bauer he was cursed. So Jack went and went mad at him then left Audrey Raines (Heller’s daughter) in order to ensure her safety.

Sounds about right, cheers.

I’ve never seen any 30 for 30 docs before but knew they had a good reputation.
Watched the Rick Flair one, and halfway through the baseball one. They’re great (even when you have no interest in the actual sport)
I had seen a few before so I was happy when I saw they were on it, was a bit surprised they didn’t have the 2 Escobars one added as its a quality one and involves football, looks like there is a load of them to be potentially added.

He went off the deep end at the end of season 8. The scene where he kidnaps Logan is great but the secret service must be the worst ever at their jobs.

Season 3 was peak but I always enjoyed season 7. Had a lot of good characters in it.

I still can't believe how bad The Simpsons looks on Disney +. Cropped to shit with visual gags ruined as a result and all of it clearly put through some crappy upscaling software instead of a proper HD remaster. I sometimes put it on forgetting how awful it looks, before abandoning it and going back to my old DVD rips.

Surely given its popularity it deserves better treatment than this.

You can turn off the remastered aspect ratio in the Details tab.

Really? Well that will make it look slightly better, but still unbelievable when so many old shows with much smaller audiences get proper remasters, that's what The Simpsons looks like in 2021.

It's Disney not much better to expect really.

Except for the fact that much of the pre-fox merger Disney stuff, including all of their old movies and shorts have been properly remastered. I don't think we can blame them for the junk quality they inherited from Fox.

Yeah - we've got a free 6 months or whatever for this. Did this to show what's the crop to others - but the upgraded quality on the original aspect ratio's is better than anything previously. So it's ok to me, if not flawless though.

Not reasonably sure what else I'm gonna use it for to be fair.... mostly Simpsons
