Ugliest haircut ever for a superhero. For that alone, Thanos should have won. Again.

It's a silly movie, a bit entertaining during time jumps sequences, and with terrible last 45 minutes, I hated that CGI mess. Ugly, dark and too crowded.

Imagine 4 billion people returning at the same time. Avengers are as dumb as Thanos in the previous one.
Never a fan of mass battles between the heroes and villains. It's why in IW I was much more invested in the fight on Titan rather than the cgi fest in Wakanda. The original three against Thanos was great but it's diluted when you have so many fighting even if they give everyone a moment to shine.

The avengers assemble scene was a crowd pleaser and culmination of 10 years but I would have been much happier if everyone had come back and it had just been the heroes vs Thanos and the black order.

Watched this on Sunday, after avoiding all spoilers since release as I wanted the 4K disc.

The worst Avengers film for me, but not bad by any stretch.

This was better than Age of Ultron.

This btw had some great moments. Cap had two of the three best ones, when mjolnir goes into his hand, and when he says 'avengers... assemble'.
The other one imo was IM saying 'And i... am Iron man' before the snap.

Those three moments had my cinema go crazy (along with Thor coming down to Wakanda from in IW).
The best cinema moment, although cruel, was when some kids cried when Spidey went away in IW and then again, when the movie ended and Thanos won

Avengers yeah.
I know its not the same, but all four also had Natasha too. So thats three of the main 5/6 out / dead / gone.
Hulk, Thor and Hawkeye have completely transformed as well.

Natasha still has a movie coming up right ? Never liked Hulk version of Ruffalo tbh. I feel they ruined him

She's got a solo film next year, yeah. Will be interesting to see, if it's successful, will they they try another film in that period between Civil War and Infinity War.

Also worth noting that Avatar is owned by Disney anyway, either way they've made a shit load of money.

Thought this was nice of them though.

Just so they can market the next 4 Avatars as sequels to the biggest blockbuster of all time.

All a sham anyway, adjusted for inflation, Casablanca is still unbeaten. Not that it matters, except to the bean counters at Disney

You could argue the inflation is somewhat equalled by the lack of competition faced by Gone With the Wind (which I assume you meant) compared to today's movies.

Isn't it Gone with the Wind?
Yeah I had a brainfart there, was typing one handed while working and messed it up.
Yes, but only in Amerika. No way to know for sure, but I'd bet Star Wars is the one to beat worldwide.
I think Star Wars as a franchise is the biggest, but for individual films they didn’t come near to 1st spot.

Inflation adjusted - and regularly - Star Wars was an absolute monster. Behind only Gone with the Wind in America, and seen by half of the world in the seventies/eighties. Figuratively speaking.

Actually, even adjusted for inflation, the MCU easily beats all the SW films combined and has been doing so for a few years now. (Feel free to argue that it's 'cheating' to lump all the MCU movies together.)

'Figuratively speaking' aside, ANH was seen by about 1/15th-1/25th of the world's population at the time. Around 380m-400m tickets sold (and then factor in repeat viewing, of which there was a heap ton)

Minor bit of trivia. Apocryphal accounts (hearsay from old industry vets who were alive at the time) from foreign ("non-North American") territories regarding Gone put its tickets sold at around 400-500m in the two years* or so following its release. Once you add North American ticket sales (around 60m-65m), you're talking a quarter of world population at the time.

*"Derp derp you can't count all those two years derp derp. If Avengers stayed in theaters for two years well then it would have made more money too, derp derp." Two years is about how long Gone kept mercilessly pounding any new release into dust at the box office, particularly in those territories.

There's no way Gone with the Wind had such a prolific period just when the WW2 started. Ok in the States for that period, but no way in the rest of the world.

Most of the MCU biggest aren't teenagers or kids to be fair. Unless we've now accepted that teenagehood lasts until your like 40 now.

 at Avatar randomly re-releasing to get it's spot back too. Where exactly did it get that re-release from? And who even went to watch it? A load of execs?

So when are they re-releasing End Game?

$13m or so should be relatively easy for the MCU fan club.
