I can't get over how good he is at those slide tackles

Don't think i have ever seen him time it wrong.

People keep saying that but it’s not true, even yesterday he did a little bit of skill to get out of a tight spot. He’s got skills.

what he doesn’t have:
Consistent right sided support creating space for him
Consistency of passing and crossing
Weak in the air
Composure sometimes

but he IS comfortable on the ball
I think that's spot on. He's very tidy in his own half, very good at getting out of tight spots and he can beat a man. We love playing him into trouble as well, passing it to his neck with the opposition closing him down.

Confidence will be key for AWB going forwards, really hope as he matures he believes in himself a bit more, properly expresses himself.

I think he's great defensively in one on one situations. But his positioning is so bad, and it's annoying when he jogs back, he can't be too tired for a full on sprint right?

But yeah his positioning when the ball is on the opposite side of the pitch is so bad. Teams should and could be exploiting that more. It really needs to be addressed

I'm really excited to see him develop and I cant wait for him to have a bit of experienced competition.

His positioning might be off - but which RB has good defensive positioning in reality? All the opposition fullbacks we look at in awe hardly have any defensive attributes whilst they have pure attacking ability only.

Wan Bissaka's passing under pressure is actually quite a nice thing to see. His crossing in terms of quality always seems deadly but lacks in quantity. He has great One Vs One ability whilst I'm seeing very slow but nevertheless progression in things like heading and offsides. He can be attracted to the attacker or ball too much which can lead him out of position - but i can see it improving over time whilst it hardly leads to a goal even now.

But then again most of them are brilliant going forward. AWB isn't. The only trait he has is his 1vs1, which is important for ten games a season. Other than that, he is quite underwhelming with the ball. He is not a good passer, which is actually a big problem for our teamplay.

I would not call Wan Bissaka an attacking fullback but neither do I think that he doesnt attack.

I like the idea of having defensive fullbacks that grow their ability to attack rather than teaching attacking fullbacks how to defend.

Sure Wan Bissaka may just be a one vs one defender - but that's a defensive trait more than many other oppositions fullbacks have defensively.

I think Wan Bissaka's attacking play is not really a problem through significant quality - it's more the quantity. I absolutely think his crosses are deadly and he is starting to always play one/twos with the RW.

There was this sudden tackle wan Bissaka made within the penalty box yesterday when the Milan player had intercepted the ball and was straight in to goal  I was shocked how great it was.

Would Max Aaron's do that or TAA?

I'm not sure.

I still want an attacking fullback in the squad - but young defensive fullbacks are harder to find.

Ole has two very defensively capable fullbacks in the squad (with shaw achieving his attacking ability now approaching his prime at 25) and he will also buy 2 attacking fullbacks to compete with the defensive fullbacks like he did with Telles and like we have been linked to Trippier.

Having 4 attacking fullbacks within a squad would be a stupid decision in my opinion - having 2 defensive fullbacks and 2 attacking ones is much more a balanced squad that excites me. I can for example see why Ole let go of TFM - probably the defensive RB competing with Wan Bissaka because neither was he good individually good enough but also he was taking the position of the attacking RB that should be competing with Wan Bissaka.

Think the criticism of him is harsh. Has his limitations but a big part of our defence, and has played a lot football this season with little rest.

He’s improved massively this season, much better on the ball and definitely improving going forward. Seemed to improved his fitness too

Needs cover and that cover should also provide genuine competition. His limitations are too obvious for us to have him as a given starter.

I refuse to believe he’s a footballer and to think we have spent 50m on him, laughable.

Passing was bad, not good enough on the ball and looked uncomfortable when trying to link up with his team mates.

He needs what Shaw is getting on the left, A Telles wake up call cause he hasn’t been great for a while, can tackle but that’s about it

He is limited at everything except for slide tackling.

He's decent defensively, but his complete lack of attacking ability just nullifies all offensive threat we have on the right side.

Amazing that he was on the books at a Premier League academy as a winger. He looks like he’s never played football before.

I don't get what we do with him tbh, he has natural ability as a defender but surely a good coaching setup should be able to improve him a bit going forward. For starters it's embarrassing that a professional player for Manchester United has to turn his whole body around everytime he has to play a pass to the left. What would also be nice is if the coaching staff said at some point if we are chasing games that someone like Mctominay should play RB and take him off .

I honestly wonder if his attitude is a problem in games like this... Feels like he half arsses it a bit /isn't totally "on it" like he would be in a "Big game"

We will never win the league with him as part of the first 11.

Will get better offensively when he'll have someone like Sancho as his right side teammate.
Based on what ? I don't find any reason to think this will happen.

We got what we paid for. He's not going to miraculously change completely so we should just make peace with the kind of player we bought.

This is what I don't understand. How the hell did he get that far as a winger when he makes controlling, dribbling and passing a ball look so difficult?

No we shouldn't. We should inject creativity to the right side. That way Bissaka will have to adjust his game to the quality and creativity of right winger. Our attacks will look better then and less predictable.

Perhaps adding another RB will get the best of him, but the whole wing needs proper boost from further investements.

I realize he's being run into the ground by Oli, by virtually playing every game (like Fernandez, Rashford, Maguire)

but he and James have got to get something going on the right hand side.

Virtually every attack from United is coming from the left flank. It's like trying to fly a jet fighter with one wing.

We sell Smalling due to his limitations on the ball and then spank £50m on Bissaka. This club baffles me

Has to be the dumbest player that’s ever played for MUFC. Fantastic athlete but utterly brainless at times.

Spelling Ole and Bruno incorrectly but getting Maguire right in the same sentence is a 1st on here anyways

Can we not ever rest him? He's being run in to the ground. Was terrible tonight on the ball but he seems to be playing a ridiculous number of minutes
It’s amazing how much Williams was used last year compared to this year . Has he regressed that much ?
