Was he the defender who just switched off? Yeah that was weird, he might have been able to pressure Pogba. I feel like Donnarumma didn't look to good on that one either, given Pogba's position, the short post was way too open.
They had several opportunities to clear the ball, but Meite then decided to dwell on it for a while to weigh his passing options,in his 6 yard box

Rangers down to ten men, moronic from Roofe. Looks a bad injury for the keeper.
It looked stupid rather than intentional, but that will be of no use to the keeper if bones are broken.

Bringing on Zlatan has improved Milan quite a bit.

Mourinho, Gerrard and Molde out. All the potential nightmare defeats avoided.

Meite commits what must be his 70th foul of the game.

In the end Milan never really threatened United's goal in the second half, aside from that one Ibrahimovic header. You can explain it with all their injury troubles, but it really wasn't enough to progress at all.

It’s often been the way in Europe. Lesser teams giving their all against English sides who expect to win on reputation alone. Heritage, to be fair to Jose.

Man Utd have no excuse not to win the Europa League this season. There's nothing in it, I'd include Arsenal too who are pretty shocking too

Man United simply have a far better team.

Agreed. Pity they were so hamstrung by injuries in this tie. United too for that matter, if not on the same level. Probably the two best sides in the competition at their best, would have made for a cracking tie

For fear of sounding like Michael Owen, we’re capable of beating anyone left in the competition but also of losing to every side.

Completely missed the 6 o'clockers and just seen the Spurs result. What the hell? Thought they had that in the bag, leading in the tie and Zagreb's manager sent to prison. Typical Spurs that.

We (Dinamo Zagreb) played them of the park. Dinamo players gave everything out there, they believed they can do it from the start and Spurs players played like they'll just come there and go through without a sweat.
Oršić is some player, 3 absolutely stunning goals, especially 1st and 3rd.
Beautiful night, both Dinamo and United through.

From the perspective of United winning the whole thing, it benefits them to play the strongest opposition over two legs. So any draw is a good draw really. I’m not sure I am ready for 180+ minutes against Arsenal though, even if it suits us as the better side to have more time to exert it.

Granada, Slavia Prague and Dinamo Zagreb are all very weak for this stage of the competition and would all be fighting against relegation in the Premier League.

Who knows, maybe that did the trick.
Safe to say, if Mourinho had been sent to prison before the game, that Spurs team would have thrashed Dinamo in an explosion of joy, energy, creativity, and lust for life.

Nonsense. Slavia Prague are not bad at all and might just as well be doing a West Ham in the PL.

Yeah, Harry Kane would have showed up for the game cosplaying William Wallace

We should win this now. Spurs and AC are the two others best teams and they are gone.

Arsenal and Roma the only good teams left
