We all love United
Isn’t the price in euros? Italian and other European clubs deal in euros. That said, I would sell Bailly for that price too

For a player that averages about 20 games a season with one year left on their contract? United would be incredibly fortunate to get £20m for him.
I know he has a dodgy injury record but he's an excellent CB on his day. I've mentioned this before, but the best way to maximise his value is a swap deal and I'd try it for Torres.

No way Villarreal would be interested in a deal like that, when considering swap deals with non top teams we often forget the player wages. Wages in England are way higher than in Spain, outside the top clubs obviously, without research Im pretty certain Bailly’s current wages would make him a top earner or even the highest earner in Villarreal.

I think Bailly would be willing to take a pay-cut at a club he likes whilst playing regularly.

Relevant quotes:
Third loan? – I honestly don’t know. I had a couple of chats with John Murtough last week, but I’m so relaxed on the situation, as is James because things are going so well for him. […] James has put himself in a great position where he’s probably going to have, if he does go out on loan again, the majority of the Championship and I would be amazed if one or two Premier League clubs don’t try and do something. I know Brighton like him, I know Norwich like him. […] I know Rangers are really keen on him as well.

This is a question you have to ask the president. No one has called me, but I'm a professional and I continue on my journey. Will Ranieri and I be in Sampdoria's future? The president knows what to do, we are here. The coach is amazing, the numbers and his career say so.

Yeah. the Cavani story is boring. We should be looking at a striker anyway.. If he stays, great.. if not, doesnt change anything.

If he gets rid of these niggling injuries and gets a proper pre-season, he would be an excellent option in the squad and might stake a claim in the XI.

I am worried about Martial, if he doesn't regain form this season he will put the club in a precarious position, and might force us to go out and get another striker if there is someone out there who is proven goal scorer and affordable

I’m not getting involved in probabilities, it’s no good. Jadon Sancho has been with us much longer than Erling Haaland. We’ll have to speak to Jadon too. If there is an exceptional offer, we will discuss it with the player and the agent, as always.. Nonetheless, I am very sure that the transfer market will only run to a very limited extent this summer. Especially at the very big clubs, you can see what kind of wounds coronavirus has inflicted – and they are not small ones that heal within two weeks.

  • Leaving United
    • Paul Woolston (Goalkeeper)
    • Arnau Puigmal (Midfielder)
    • Max Taylor (Centre back)
    • Connor Stanley (Attacking Midfielder/Winger)
  • Teden Mengi and James Garner's contracts will be reviewed this summer for potential renewals.
    • EDIT: Dom Booth forgot about Teden Mengi's recent contract extension
  • Uncertainty over their expiring contracts (expiring this summer):
    • Ondrej Mastny (Goalkeeper)
    • Charlie McCann (Centre Midfielder)
    • Harvey Neville (Right Back)
    • Reece Devine (Full Back)

Martial needs selling while it looks to the outside that this is just a poor season, when in reality we know it’s more to do with his appalling attitude and application.

Ole needs to mount a proper challenge next season, you can’t do that taking half-arsed players with you within your starting 11.

We absolutely should sell him or use him in a trade of some kind with the likes of Dortmund, his wages will prove the stumbling block because our club overpay many of our average players.

Mengi just signed a renewal after his loan move to Derby, no?

Apparently Solskjaer wanted de Gea dropped to second choice from the West Brom game onwards. The recent decision to start Henderson is seemingly going to aggravate the current tensions between Ole and de Gea.

By the way Gerard Moreno draws the attention of many clubs, including Atlético de Madrid with special interest as mentioned by @medinamarca (sic). Clause 100 million, impossible [to procure]. They have to negotiate. Clearly the red & white directive handles other profiles as well. Younger than him.

How much do we realistically think we could get for De Gea? His contract situation seems like it could create a Sanchez-esque scenario.

There’s also not an obvious destination. I doubt he’d move to another English club and the big hitters like Barcelona, Madrid, Atlético, Juve, and Bayern are all set at GK. Inter and Milan also have very good GK’s.

There's been persistent rumours linking Lloris to PSG so they might be an option? Always thought Navas was a good keeper though but that’s not based on any up to date assessment.

If Ole wanted to drop De Gea, why didn't he?

So what stopped Ole from dropping him ?

I was thinking about PSG as well, but there haven't been any links to them from the media. Inter and AC Milan may have the keepers for now, but they won't for much longer. Both Handanovic and Donnarumma's contracts expire this summer, and there's some uncertainty over Donnarumma's future. With that said, I've yet to see links to de Gea from the Italian media, and I think that's because they don't think that both clubs will be able to afford his wages.

The only way de Gea can really leave is if de Gea accepts a lower salary. I don't see any club being able to pay what he's currently earning.

Dunno maybe contractual issues or being instructed by those higher up in the club. Asking on the Caf won’t find you the answer. Oh and by the looks of it he’s now dropped and no longer automatic first choice. I wonder how it’ll all pan out.

From that article:
And the MEN can reveal Solskjaer intended to drop De Gea for Henderson as early as the visit of West Brom on November 21. When De Gea was informed of the intended selection by Solskjaer, he reacted so unhappily Solskjaer restored the Spaniard to the side.

Henderson was also poised to start in the goalless draw with Chelsea on February 28 but De Gea expressed his dismay and Solskjaer once again decided to start him over Henderson. De Gea kept a clean sheet against West Brom and Chelsea, where United fans voted him the club’s man of the match.
So it seems like de Gea got a kick up the backside on the moments he was told that he'd be dropped, but I think Ole's gotten tired of having to constantly do that.

Thats poor management
I can see how it's not easy. Either he keeps a highly-paid player unhappy, and have him poison the dressing room in the process, or he lets him play and risks his form dipping again. In each case, de Gea did step up and keep a clean sheet, so without the benefit of hindsight, who'd have known that de Gea would have dropped in form a while after?
