Current WC draft:

Mendy
Cancelo, Rudiger, Coady
Jota, Salah, Bruno, Son, Wingard
Ihenacho, Kane

Subs: Forster, Watkins, Konsa, Holding

Not 100% sold on the two bolded. Cancelo can easily become Castagne, in fact, that's what I'll probably do. As for Watkins, what other options are there at that price?
Downgrade Watkins and upgrade Coady or Holding to someone who might get goals/assists like TAA or Alonso.

But who can I downgrade Watkins to? I already have Ihenacho. There's literally is no one else?

As for upgrading Coady or Holding, I can do that with the 0.9 I have in the bank. Can get in Shaw or someone like that. Although Wolves have a tasty set of fixtures coming up. Maybe I'll drop Holding for Shaw...

Well if the FW is going to be on the bench then you can either go all out fodder with 4.2m Davis (who somehow got an assist last game...) or 4.8m Vydra who is starting at the moment and scored 2 in his last 4.

Then you might have the funds to get TAA + Shaw instead of 2 of Coady/Holding/Konsa? Villa have a tough run in and Arsenal never keep clean sheets, whilst TAA will have a bee in his bonnet to get into the Euros squad so he might finally start being good value for the first time this season.

Thank you. Good food for thought there.

I'm now thinking of ditching Aina + Bamford for TAA+Davis for a -4...as I won't be able to afford it soon seeing as it would leave 0.0 in the bank and TAA's price will rise and Bamfords will drop before the next deadline.

Then would have a team of:
Martinez (Areola)
TAA Stones Rudiger (Dallas) (Struijk)
KDB Bruno Auba Jota Lingard
Kane DCL (Davis)

Wish I still had the 2nd wildcard to be honest, then Auba, DCL, Stones, Dallas and Struijk would all be out the door too.

I still have bench boost available. I should keep that in mind when I use my wildcard. It’s time to bring in some Liverpool players + lingard. When are people wildcarding? Any teams with a good run in ?

Current WC-draft:
Mendy (Forster)
Dias, TAA, Shaw (Dallas, 3,8)
Salah, Jota, Lingard, Bruno, Maddison
Kane, Lacazette (Davis)

Currently choosing between:
KdB/Iheanacho
Maddison/Lacazette
Tielemans/Lacazette

I think rest of the team is very template but any thoughts on the different would be appreciated!

Probably
GW31 - Leeds, Aston Villas, Liverpool fixtures are turning
GW33 - Spurs, city blank
GW35 - Preparing for probable doubles

Looks good, not sold on Iheanacho who might lose his place when Maddison returns due to change in tactics (?) Personally I'd choose Maddison/Tielemans/Vardy as Leicester coverage. Also perhaps risky on doubling on Chelsea defense after the 2-5 drubbing. Logically they should get their stuff together but I do believe good defense is also related to a belief/mental part. "We have a impregnable defense" etc when that crumbled as it did last game I do think it would not be as strong as it was.

Arsenal, Newcastle, Liverpool, Spurs, couple of others, fixture list below. One thing I've taken from this season (and even this weekend given the results), is that the "easy fixtures" are not as guaranteed as previous seasons. Teams fighting for their lives?

I'll bear the fixtures in mind but focussing more on the players (even if don't play for a 'top' team).

Not a bad week, Kane (c), Bruno and Rashford saved it. Almost made top 100k, aim is top 80k (the top 1%). Definitely down to the top.8 in my ML now... 9th is 60 pts down.

After GW30

Vardy is too expensive. Tielemans I think plays too deep. Maddison is a good shout but I think my midfield is quite solid. I feel Ihenacho will still play with Maddison taking Perez spot. Althought I agree he might not play the full 90 always.

As for Chelsea defence, Rudiger is in there due to his price but I'll keep an eye on their UCL game before locking that in.

God, I’ve lost interest in this now but I’m looking at potentially winning my main ML for the first time, so can anyone tell me how should be looking to set my team up for doubles? No chips left

Good luck to anyone going triple Liverpool on a wildcard. Not sure I’ll be going anywhere near that defence off the back of clean sheets against a terrible Wolves and Arsenal.

I’m probably going to bring in Salah again, as he will kill me in my mini league if he does well, and he’s easy to lose if it doesn’t work out.

Anyone fancy Lacazette?

Sheffield United & Fulham next two

I been thinking about it but after the Liverpool loss, their focus will definitely be Europa... When he plays, Laca can always get a goal but you just don't know if he'll play.

I don't mind this for players like Stones or Jota but I don't want a £8m striker that isn't guaranteed starter.

Definitely an option (said so a couple of weeks back because of their fixtures). But they're so up and down.

IF chasing in a league, could be a good differential, only 6.3% owned.

(Edit. fyi, got 49 points since week.20. The Frustration Twins (Bamford and Watkins) have got 54 and 50 in that time).

Yes that’s a fair point. I may go for Ings instead

Who's Free Hitting in 33 with me?

Games I'll be targetting will be primarily...

Liverpool v Newcastle
Villa v West Brom
Leicester v Palace
Sheffield United v Brighton

Squad looking something like...

Martinez / (Patricio)
TAA / Castagne / Dunk / (Targett) / (Saiss)
Salah / Jota / Bruno / Grealish / Maddison
Vardy / Welbeck / (Maupay)

Captain Salah I guess.

Is Ollie Watkins worth getting until the end of the season?

WAIT! DON'T STONE ME, DON'T SEND A HORSE HEAD TO MY HOUSE!

So assuming you follow the trend of one premium (Kane) plus two cheapos, are there many options better than that troll?

Watkins - Immensely difficult fixtures coming up and misses chances for fun but has Grealish coming back and a DGW on the horizon.
Bamford - Also has difficult fixtures coming up and misses chances for fun. Starting to get rotated with Rodrigo now too.
Ihenaco - He's my 'other' cheap option. Good fixtures but not 100% nailed with Madison back. Will look to offload if Barnes recovers.
Antonio - They call him Mr. Glass. Also, with Rice out, it can affect his overall tally. Their fixtures aren't exactly easy either.
DCL - Priciest in the lower end range and can't seem to hit a barn door at the moment. That extra £1m can easily be distributed elsewhere.
Maupay/Wellbeck/Wood - Not really worth even talking about.
Vydra - Only £4.8 and is now a starter at Burnley. I have him as I'm playing 5 mids. Issue is, getting a player this price can give you far less options to remove him later on.

Mate I'm just about to sell him (for Jesus).

I don't think Bamford is being rotated so much as having his minutes managed from that hip injury he doesn't seem to be 100% recovered from.

I mean at the end of the day he's a £6m striker and has exceeded expectations this season already tbh. 11 goals and 6 assists is a decent return from someone in that bracket.

I am getting in nacho and Brewster and playing 4 - 5 - 1 I think

Of those, Welbeck is the best option for me (from gw 33 on)

I've been looking at Lacazette too (in fact he's currently in my WC team) but I suspect I'll chicken out. Like others have said, Arsenal will prioritise Europa. They do have some excellent fixtures though...

Not a great selection of strikers for these final stretch of games is there? Everyone has Kane, and I suspect many are on the Iheanacho wagon for the time being. That third position is tricky.

Welbeck is never the answer (unless he could play us every week).
Albeit missing a pen, he's been looking live and solid. Always an easy victim to mock, but I think he's been quite alright when playing. Compared to his price that is.

So do I! But he's also one of the most likely players to pick up an injury in the league. I was tempted to put him in earlier in the season when he had looked lively. Thankfully I didn't as he then didn't score for about the next 15 GWs.

Certainly wouldn't bring Watkins in. I've got him and will keep him due to other transfer needs. Plus that almost mythical double that will come eventually!

Smith has been so dishonest on Grealish i can't judge if he's back next game or already out for the season.

Jota, Jesus or Iheanacho as a bit of a punt? I only want one, as I’m trying to have solid picks, as I can’t be dealing with more 0s and 1s.

Jota - I already have Salah, and am not as convinced by Liverpool as some are.

Jesus - will undoubtedly be rotated at times, but looks pretty certain to start against Leeds.

Iheanacho - big rotation risk, and possibly prefer Maddison anyway.

First WC go...

Ederson Schmeicel
James Shaw Coady Phillips Fofana/or/Bellerin
Bruno Salah Lingard Jorginho Maddison
Kane Iheanacho Lacazette

All play for top teams (bar Arsenal), in form and/or decent fixtures. Goalies dear but I know they play/good fixtures. £103.4m, £1.1m spare.

Option.B - Jesus for Lacazette (rotation risk Vs better team)

Option.C - TAA for Phillips, Antonio for Lacazette and change goalies

Ederson & Sanchez /or/ Patricio & Schmeicel /or/ Martinez & Schmeicel
James Shaw Coady TAA Fofana/or/Bellerin
Bruno Salah Lingard Jorginho Maddison
Kane Iheanacho Antonio

Option D - change United defender, keep top goalies.

Lindelof for Shaw means Ederson and Mendy.

Need some suggestions on whether to have these following players for coming weeks with a WC

Targett
Pereira from WBA
Maddison
Iheneacho
Vydra

If I don't take TAA, I need not do the Mendy/Forster and can afford a costlier keeper along with Mendy. Any suggestions, apart from Martinez.
