From the same crowd who championed Sociedad as a top LL team. I’ve watched Granada a decent amount this season, some on here will be shocked at the quality drop off here.
And then we play their English counterparts on Sunday. Should be a good week.

Probably jinx it by saying that now though.

As always against Spanish sides, we will make it harder for us. We shouldn't feck around and simply play our best team with perhaps Pogba resting for McTominay. Greenwood as a CF in for Cavani and James from the left if Rashford isn't fit. But we should easily win if we just keep going and don't shit our pants.

Anything below a 2 goal victory and I will be dissapointed. I think Granada will focus on their defense, a 0-0 for them would be gold. We must score at least 2 so we are not a mistake away from shitting the bed back at Old Trafford.

If we're letting a 36 year old Soldado score against us we probably don't deserve to win tbh.

Feeling great about this game! Granada are VERY suspect in the defensive setup and struggled massively in the 2nd leg against Molde. Their domestic form is very bad.

This will be a fun night in Europe for the boys.

We should beat these easily 2-0 as they are not at the top tier or 2nd in Spanish football, whatever team we put out .

I'd like to see James - Greenwood - Amad front 3.
If we are winning comfortably (fingers crossed) then I would like to see van de Beek play half an hour as one of the 2 CMs instead of playing high up the pitch.
I'm hoping Greenwood gets a couple more goals and he can finish the season strong!

I would rest Rashford but it seems the plan is to play him until he collapses, hopefully we give Amad a start at RW and I'd start Mason as the #9 as the way things are heading he needs as many games there as possible before next season.

In Granadas most recent home wins against Sociedad (1-0) and Napoli (2-0) they had only 32 and 38% possession and restricted both to just 1 shot on target.

Another low block team to break down and will need to be clinical on whatever chances are created?

We may need to -- considering that we have Spuds on Sunday. Need to rest and let Rashford recover from his cumulative injuries.

Hard to tell now where we should be resting players.

Were 9 points up on Chelsea with 8 matches to play, if we screw up CL it would be a total collapse.

With Spurs on Sunday I think we will see some rotation.

Maybe rest Cavani? but he was useless against Brighton so maybe play him till he finds form?

For sure Rashford should be rested, im sick of seeing him get run into the ground. If he's the one saying hes fine we need to stop listening to him.

Very low block. According to The Athletic, they play 2 DMs and don’t even press. Pogba has a key role in this one.

Might be a bit trickier than Sociadad as they played an open game first then learned from their mistakes and sat back for a 0-0 at OT. Granada could frustrate and nick a goal.

We should have enough to make a breakthrough.

I predict we will win 2-1

Which will of course make us even more heavy favourites but still not be definitive enough to play a much weakened team for the home leg

Pogba isn’t a 10, McTominay isn’t a 6, they are both 8s. Why shoehorn them into positions instead of just doing the logical thing & playing 4-3-3?

Ive been saying this for about 2 years now. The double pivot is the reason we barely ever win the midfield battle & can’t keep the ball for more than 2 passes. It leaves a giant hole in the middle.

Assuming there's been no injury updates just yet - we got an Ole presser coming up in a bit?

the weakest defence in the league. It should absolutely be a walk in the park.

To be expected really, and nice to see Elanga involved.

Always have to remind myself what exactly is going on with Tuanzebe when I see his name included in these long-listed squads.

Still not entirely sure. We were never really told what his injury issues have been, and he's gone from looking like a potential future start to someone who'll surely be moved on sooner or later. Very odd.

Granada Club de Fútbol, S.A.D., known simply as Granada and nicknamed Nazaríes, is a Spanish football club in the city of Granada, in the autonomous community of Andalusia. Granada Club de Fútbol was founded on 14 April 1931, originally as Recreativo de Granada; the first president was Julio López Fernández. It was him who registered the club in the Registry of Associations in the Civil Government and presented the first Board of Directors. The first football match was played against the Deportivo Jaén on 6 December 1931, which resulted in a 2–1 victory. That season, the club finished 2nd in the Tercera Regional – Región Sur championship. 4 wins in 6 matches helped Granada CF to be promoted to the Segunda Regional.

After several promotions, in 1941–42 the club made its La Liga debut. It was the match against the Celta on 28 September 1941. During that season the Granada had some historical home wins, among them 8–0 against the Real Oviedo and 6–0 against the Barcelona. The Granada finished the season in the 10th position among 14 teams. From here until the 1980s, it alternated between that category and the Segunda División, with its golden age coming during the 1970s, with eight top flight seasons, which included a best-ever two sixth league places (1971–72, 1973–74). The Granada finished the 1971-72 season with 9 wins in the last 10 home games, among them wins against the Barcelona and the Real. In 1959 the Granada achieved its greatest sports landmark, being the runner-up of the Copa del Generalísimo (later Copa del Rey).

The Derby of eastern Andalusia also known as the Andalucía Oriental derby (the Derbi Andaluz, the Derbi Oriental) is the name of a running football club rivalry in eastern Andalusia region, Spain, between the Málaga CF (previously the CD Málaga) and the Granada CF. The club plays its home matches at the Nuevo Estadio de Los Cármenes.

Please please rest Rashford and AWB at least. Bring Pogba up to LW, and Tuanzebe for AWB.
