Wishful thinking to assume that in summer the UK is going to be in a good place. The variant causing the high rates on the mainland is coming here, and just as the UK is opening up and people mingling again.

If i was a betting man I'd still bet that the mainland is going to be in better shape in summer than the UK.

It's disgusting football has been allowed to go ahead.
Euros or all football?

Last I read is that Dublin is going to lose games, Scotland will probably keep their matches as they will try to get some fans in, same for London and think Copenhagen has committed to fans.

Was interesting seeing that Russia game at the weekend had a decent number in so wouldn't surprise me if they came in as a late venue change, same for Israel.

Uefa just wants places that will actually allow fans in really, has to be doubtful currently for Italy (Rome) and Spain (Bilbao).

Uh no to israel. I don't even consider them as a European country but let's not get into that. Some of the players would refuse to play there as well.
They've been playing in euro qualification since the early 90s and can't ever recall a player refusing to play there in qualification game.

The rumours are that Dublin won't be hosting their matches and there's the possibility that their matches could be moved to England. Information regarding venues and capacities should be known by the end of this week.

I just listed my tickets (3) on StubHub for the England vs Croatia game. No way I can be there.

Are they genuinely still trying to make the multi-city idea an option?

Or are the 12 host cities putting forward their cases for why they should individually
host the tournament ahead of the others?

To my knowledge, they are going ahead with the multi-city thing, but the cities originally intended to host maybe have to put forward a compelling case to host the games they were originally intended to host? (compelling case = fans in the stadium).

Since I'm from Denmark I know the government here has given green lights for at least 11-12.000 fans - UEFA thinks and hopes the danish-hosted games (DK vs Russia, DK vs Belgium, DK vs Finland + one 1/8 final) will be more in the region of at least 18-20.000 - rising to maybe 24.000. So I think the cities chosen will be the cities originally intended - but can't those cities guarantee x-amount of fans, they probably won't host the games originally intended. I don't think any single city will host it all.

I listed my semi final and two r16 on stub hub as well.. gutted I'm missing out but hoping I can make a great return on these tickets.

I remember last euro I paid 350 euros for r16 games. I see the semi final is listed for 950 euros (all category 1 tickets)

The FAI on Dublin: ““The Football Association of Ireland, on advice and guidance from the government, has today notified UEFA that owing to the Covid-19 pandemic it is not in a position at this point to provide assurances on minimum spectator levels at the Euro 2020 matches.”

Bavarian premier Markus Söder on Munich: “It’s been shown that players get infected again and again. Therefore in a big stadium, Europe-wide with a lot of mobility. Whether that’s a good idea, I would have to doubt.”

The Spanish FA (RFEF) on Bilbao: “Yesterday we received the requirements the Basque government imposed in order to have crowds at the European Championship and from the first instance one could see they would be impossible for the federation to accept.”

What you selling for?
Level C for 280 Euros each, three tickets. I paid 1100 Euros for all three back in early 2020 before we knew the world would go to crap. Was super excited seeing England play in a packed Wembley. If these tickets are cancelled, I get my 1100 back. I would rather cash in at 840 and not risk I actually win the seat lottery and then can’t go.

How would that work if you sell them though and they then get cancelled? Will the new buyer be able to get the 1100 back?

I've already returned all but one pair of tickets. I'll still hold onto my pair for the second semi final and hope for the best in the ballot.

It seems that the FA are pushing for 45,000 to attend the semi finals and final. No idea on the number of tickets sold or returned, but even if only a small portion of fans have returned their tickets, I should have a reasonable chance of keeping my tickets.

Had three for the RO16 in Dublin.

Not sure whether to just return to portal or keep a hold and sell them off at cost to a real fan, wherever it is being hosted. Inclined to do the latter given all the scalpers.

Ballot? Do you think those who keep hold of their tickets will go through another draw to see if they're able to go? How do you think UEFA will handle those who don't return the tickets.. they still have not addressed this

I'd like to sell to a real fan as well but don't know of any... if I can't I'd like to make a profit off them. Do you think people would buy round of 16 games at limited capacity?

From what I gather if you don't return your tickets there's a a few ways it can go.

You keep hold of your tickets if the number of holders is less than or equal to the limited capacity. For example 25k keeping their tickets but capacity is 45k.

If the number of ticket holders is above the limited capacity then you enter a ballot. For example 50k keep their tickets but the limit is 45k, 5k will miss out.

If you're unsuccessful and part of that 5k, you'll get a full refund.

From the email and press releases today it seems that if you decide to keep tickets, keep in mind what may come with that.

It's probably not wise to keep tickets that require travel abroad as each government can impose whatever restrictions/quarantine periods they like and UEFA won't be bailing you out.

It's not clear how easily tickets can be transferred to others as they will be e-tickets and whether there will be a resale portal closer to the Euros.

UEFA has fecked this up colossally.

The fact that we have to guess what happens is ridiculous. We need transparency, and those who are going 100% need to know ASAP. There's only 2 months to go for feck sakes.

You are touting your tickets, you don't get to complain about anything.

Sold my tickets. I was really looking forward to a meaningful match at Wembley. We had a beautiful trip already paid for to Paris, Edinburgh, and London. Covid really messed that up.

I hope the guy that bought my tickets is selected.

Latest update is Dublin loses their games and Wembley gets some more. And Seville replaces Bilbao as Spain venue.

Amazed they're keeping the 12 city format in these times but there you go.

I’m not sure what country would want the whole tournament right now though. It would be a vanity project that you couldn’t reap the economic benefits from and that the public couldn’t properly enjoy.

Dublin to St Petersburg is quite the shift.

UEFA have cancelled follow your team tickets! As someone who had follow your team tickets, my family had thousands tied into follow you team tickets for about 2 years, prepared to loose our money if we couldn't travel. Now will have the opportunity to re-apply(but no priority) if our team progresses!

disgusting

My tickets sold but I don't get paid until after the game is played. What a mess this is going to be for Stub Hub. They have to pay out all the transactions for tickets that do get to attend and refund all the tickets that don't make the lottery.

My thinking has always been they should change format to what they did for later stages of games in CL last season.

Third of games in London, Munich and then Rome/Paris or whichever other major cities can have 4/5 teams staying in bubbles in close proximity.

So it's almost 3 weeks into the tournament and there is still no update on UEFA about the tickets allocation? My mate and I have our tickets and accommodation all booked for the opening game in Rome. What a farce, seriously UEFA is a disgrace. I don't understand how such high level corporate executives get paid so much but are so incompetent. Pathetic.

In a similar boat, but for the quarters at the start of July. No idea if we'll actually be able to attend the game, but the accommodation and flights have been booked for months. No idea what's going to happen, but I'd still love to go if it's feasible.

So you will be in Rome too? What happens if our allocated tickets are forfeited because apparently the stadium only allows 30% capacity? Does this mean we get our money refunded or do we get a first choice in choosing tickets for the other venues? I'm very confused about the lack of information. I really am hoping to go to the Rome opening game as its my friend's birthday and it has always been his dream to visit the Stadio Olympiaco as he is a Lazio fan, he is an Italian too so this would mean a lot to him.

If my ticket is forfeited, can I still buy the tickets then?
