Our most exciting youngster by a mile, great game for the lad. Really cant ask for more from a substitute.

The assist better than the goal. Cloud seven performance and another priceless experience earned.

Yes and during those moments where the space is tight, a good old shot fake can do wonders, specially if he does it with his left. Right now defenders are too focused on his left, he can use that
Agreed. It's a rare ability to be so two-footed, he should use it as aggressively as possible.

For some reason I thought he was 20 turning 21 already. Doesn't make a huge difference but I guess my point is he's still way ahead of schedule in terms of where you'd expect him to be at his age. He's got another what 4 years before you'd start worrying that he's hasn't established himself as a key starting XI player.

His goal today is probably the first time in this season he faces only one opponent player in the box. He is lethal in such a situation. Crispy strike.

He’s brilliant. We’re lucky to have such a special player and I’m glad that he’s slipped back under the radar a little bit.

Stats are heavily misused these days, really. Well done to Mason, he deserves credit and some confidence boost, took both chances very well. great quick thinking and first time cross and nice little shuffle to send the defender other way to smash the ball with right pace to beat the keeper. But yeah make a headline with Ronaldo.

When he's one vs one, I always have that feeling that at the very least, he's going to get a shot off.

He's so two-footed that it's impossible to mark.

Great finish with his right foot.

Really starting to find some good form now.

Great impact as sub. I hope he starts more often next season. His cross to Cavani and the diving header reminded me of Beckham's crosses to Yorke.

Sure, but he couldn’t have done any better for the goal either - both brilliant.
That's the thing, even when keeper reaches it, the power in the shot is enough to break the block. In that particular aspect he's perfect candidate for club's number 9 someday.

He's one of the best talents around, it's so glaringly obvious.

I came here to say the same thing. This is his special ability, he makes so many little faints he will almost certainly fool the defender. He's also very good at shooting from weird angles (it doesn't always go in but he never misses the target by long distance). All our other attackers would get stuck facing this defender. Greenwood just knows he has to make that little space to shoot and he's very effective at it.

More importantly, he can conveniently makes that little space on either side, left or right, so unpredictable!

Night and day compared to the Granada performance. Came on and made a big difference. Today was more in line with his recent form, long may it continue.

Not often you can actually see a defender’s soul leave his body like Reguilon’s did there.

Brilliant cameo, loved his reaction to both goals, I do love to see the joy. Spark is back. I think he'll have a great end to the season.

Hell of a 20 minutes, the first time cross for Cavani's goal was class and he took his goal with real assurance.

was just about to post this myself. he took it so quickly, no touches to set himself which is what caught everybody out.

only cavani was expecting it which made all the difference, beautiful stuff.

Deserves even more plaudits than he's getting. He turned the game, assisting the winner and scoring the final goal.

Brilliant goal and assist today, really showcasing his two footedness with both of them. Most footballers would kill to have a right foot as good as his while his left is even more of a wand.

It's important to remember how young he is and where other forwards were at the same juncture that Greenwood is at. Kane was struggling for game time at Norwich while Lewandowski was playing in the Polish 2nd Division when they were both Greenwood's age. Haaland and Mbappe have warped perceptions of how quickly young forwards should develop and it creates unrealistic expectations that 99% of 19 year old's won't live up to.

Greenwood is a fantastic talent who will go through the natural ebbs and flows of a young player finding their feet in a man's game. Posters making comments like next year could be a 'make or break for him' need to bear that in mind. I think if he fulfils the role of the first choice attacking option off the bench next year behind a front 3 of Rashford Cavani Sancho that will be the perfect context for him to continue his development. Cavani is a brilliant mentor for him to learn from as well.

I still see his best performances come as a RF more than a CF.

This is why I believe our future formation is turning to either a 4222 or a narrow forward line 433 with a false 9 between 2 forwards.

Ole said after the game we'd been working on getting quicker service into Cavani and Mason clearly was on it, first class delivery without a touch, he's such a good all round footballer.
