Can you imagine anyone coming away with a new perspective from that debate? Pretty much 100% of viewers will believe their own side won easily.
I think there are enough people who don't know much about the Green New Deal but would tune in for the spectacle, who could potentially be swayed. Maybe 20-30%, which would be significant.

Christ. What was her reasoning for shutting the bill down?

very interesting podcast about a civil war era politician. maybe he is famous in the US, i don't know, but this was all new to me.

513 - The Inebriated Past, Part 9: Beast Mode (4/8/21)

Matt guides us through the life and times of Maj. Gen. Benjamin “Beast” Butler, who was transformed through his experiences in the Civil War from pragmatic anti-war Democrat to one of the nation’s most radical Republicans, pissing everyone off along the way.

Many Evangelicals say they won't be vaccinated against Covid-19. Some experts say distrust and misinformation have played a role

This study is mentioned in the link above, found it fascinating.

At this point, 2024 is DeSantis' to lose. The only thing that could derail him politically is a scandal or if Trump decides to run.

I said it in a different thread, but I'll repeat it here. I believe a refusal for non medical reasons to vaccinate should be grounds for insurance companies to deny paying for treatment of COVID. This has been my stance on other vaccines as well.

It will be interesting to see if his votes align with his admission.
Well put. He has been vocal about man made climate change since at least 2014, no clue how his voting on relevant issues has been since, though.

They refused payments for acne. It's a banker that you'll be out of pocket if you don't get vaccinated.
