Sorry for yet another thread on it. Just want to gage this. Poll would be awesome if possible.

No I will turn anti United and hope we do as badly as possible and get kicked out of it. See Glaziers go and get my club back.

Or I might actually start supporting City cause if we should be plastic I might as well join the better plastic side.

If we have to leave the domestic league then I’d give up on United. If not though I’d begrudgingly accept it I guess.

Yes. I'm completely against the ESL but I'm too far gone into supporting United to act rationally and boycott them. Hard to say for sure what the fallout from all this will be and how that affects the love of football/United years down the line though.

So most people have a problem with the ESL but not with the corrupt FIFA and UEFA  :houllier:
There’s a level of sleeve that everybody has a tolerance for in part because you know they’ve got utter disdain for you but at least they don’t completely rub it in your face and then there’s this which is blatant.

This isn't United.

They own our name and our stadium, but they are not the club, not the one I supported anyway - that United died the day they took over and I can't support them any more. I'm done until they're gone and I just hope that can happen while there is still a way back.

The new format is shit but the people at the FIFA and UEFA deserves this day.
Perhaps, but gloating about someone getting their comeuppance isn’t great when the alternative is the exact same but magnified by a million.

I won't renew my season ticket. I have very little interest in a glorified circle jerk league, so I won't care for it.. But I will continue to watch the Premier League as, frankly, I love Domestic Football.

Not in the super league no. I wouldnt watch the matches or pay any tv service that broadcasts the matches. I didn't pay MUTV to watch the worthless pre season Champions Cup, why would I pay for the same friendly league stretched out over a year?

Not a ST holder, but if I was I'd be boycotting that as well.

Are you fecking kidding? They are literally awarding championships to murderous cnuts in the UAE and the clubs taking ownership back of their product is too far?

Seriously, a lot of you need to get a grip. UEFA and Fifa need to burn to the fecking ground and this may be the right start.

Make no mistake the premier league will kiss whoever’s arse they need to and it won’t be UEFA

A lot of these clubs are also affiliated with the UAE in someway, or have other dodgy relationships.

Morally they're all as bad as each other.

United is still the club I'd support.

The issue is that I'd be less interested in football generally, so I'd watch and be invested in it (and therefore United) less and less.

This has happened for periods in the past, such as when we were playing dire football under Mourinho and LVG. I didn't stop being a supporter, I just found I had better things to do with my time than actually watch our games. This would be like that, but more permanent.

After all, I already support other teams in other sports. I also have other things I enjoy beyond football. This one particular sport and team isn't entitled to a monopoly on my time and attention. Football would become what a sport like rugby is for me now, something I'm interested in but just not near as much.

I don’t know. What bothers me most about this is not the concept or the format, it’s the fact that this has been pursued on behalf of our club by owners who have a motive which is purely financial. When you think of what makes a football club it’s the players, the fans, the staff, the many ex legends that have shaped the story and identity of that club. The reality that a seismic decision like this, which completely alters the course of the clubs history can be made without influence from anyone who makes the club what it is is utterly gut-wrenching.

How was it not blatant after Russia & Qatar were selected as World Cup locations. Or when the president of Fifa was banned for corruption alongside 14 other officials in the organisation as well the head of UEFA. Or City's CAS verdict for breaching FFP. Or FFP in general.

Follow the team you support no matter what.

For me, this was inevitable. Just look around us, money and technology has been evolving at stupid rates and I think this was always going to happen.

I don't agree with it but I don't think many fans agreed with changes back in the day when competitions changed etc... It's just a shame this format alienates the smaller teams because the big teams will just take all the talent like a kid in a sweet shop.

Or it might create 100 Leicesters wanting 100m for every player. I don't know but this is something we'll have to just live with and continue supporting our team.

Can't stop supporting your team just because of the owners. The leagues needed better protection from oil money and dodgy owners ruining things and sadly didn't so this was always going to happen.

Not a coincidence that an American bank is happy to bank roll it all. GREED.

Edit: automatic placement for has been is a big issue. Up and coming teams won't be able to become big teams with this format.

This is not about Fifa and Uefa though, its about a clear lock out of other clubs. Saying its fine that 10th place Arsenal can never miss out on Europes biggest competition because feck Uefa is ridiculous. Wanna bin Uefa and Fifa do it properly, make teams earn their spot in the ESL, not hand it to them. That won't be done though because Leicester or Napoli or Sevilla might eventually piss on a "big" clubs qualification. Imagine if the PL brought in a rule that 15 of its 20 clubs couldn't be relegated. Whats the point for the other 5, finish 1st to 5th and 3rd 4th and 5th still go down because the worse teams have immunity?

At what stage is your team no longer your team?

When the owners have destroyed everything that identified your club, is it still your club or is it just Triggers Broom?

It is baffling how this point (and I made that point myself too) has gone over some people's heads.

As if the invention of the PL is comparable. You can relegate! You can promote. None of that happens with a Super League where 15 clubs automatically play in it.

A complete disgrace.

Its life. It comes with ups and downs.

We are just small fans with no impact on what happens which is why we sit here and bicker.

But if I've chosen to support utd for 15 years then I won't change just because of the owners decisions.

I don't agree with what's going on but I'm not going to stop supporting. The players and staff are the same people.

We might as well say that the players should all leave the team now then.

I am finding sports in general much less interesting of late. It is probably because I am getting older, but I just don't get that rush of excitement anymore, regardless of the sport. I used to love watching any team play football or American football and now I can't even seem to get all that excited to watch the teams I support. Part of it is probably that there are no fans are in attendance, but I am also kind of finding myself bored watching sports and paying more attention to my computer or phone during games than I ever did.

When I have work to do I can always put any game on in the background and I am good, but I am finding that it is it tougher and tougher for it to hold my interest when it is the only thing on.

So whatever happens, I'll still watch for the time being, but I think its going to be part of a long term trend where I kind of just lose total interest eventually.

I will always support United but I'll probably lose interest in the game. For me the PL has always been the competition i enjoy the most and the Super-League will make it pointless unless you are very close to the top spot.

Oh yeah that was blatant and pretty much lead to this

This is the crėme de la crėme of blatant.

The ESL are 100% blatant, FIFA/UEFA/etc at least had some decisions that weren’ and that’s the difference.

Sorry mate but that's bollocks. That's not being a fan, it's being a sheep.
