Father? No excuse though, he's old enough to know. Nice bloke, shit player though.
Yeah but it's all the more perplexing because when he has mentioned it, he seems to have not liked his father for whatever the behaviour was, i.e. the quote about changing his name from Wilson to Giggs to show he was his mother's son .

I suppose the allegations about that reporter he was dating in the 90s are true as well, based on this incident.

Well I”m quite dissapointed for him actually.Obviously I don’t know the merits of this case, but he desperately wanted to be a manager and he got an opportunity after waiting for almost 15 months. It’s dissapointing to see him not being able to compete in the Euros...Hopefully he”ll get another job soon...

He genuinely sounds like one of those people who shouldn’t be in a relationship. Sex and relationships can absoloutly turn some people toxic and bring out the worst.
What a terrible take.

Some people have emotional issues and take it out on those closest to them.

Sex and relationships do not turn people with good mental health and a positive emotional outlook toxic.

As for Giggs, he clearly needs help which he may not get in prison.

Of course we have to wait to see what happens at court but there’s two bits to this that are very crucial and make the case look ominous.

The controlling and coercive behaviour and the fact CPS authorised a charge. This is not something the CPS do very freely.

There must be some very strong evidence available for the CPS to go for the controlling and coercive part.

None the less doubt he’ll go to prison regardless. Maybe a suspended sentence and some other orders.

What allegations?? From the little that I know he didn't spend much time I with his dad.

Well, maybe it’s better to give the guy some help. He clearly have troubles. Famous or not, he deserves help.
I wouldn't say that it's better to give him help without punishing him.

Rehabilitation vs punishment is a wider conversation. You could use that argument about anyone who engages in any sort of unlawful behaviour. There needs to be deterrents too, so you should apply punishment while also seeking to treat the root causes.

What a nightmare... He needs to be dealt with properly by the authorities tbh this can't go on just because he's a public figure and wealthy. Lock him up ffs.

He lost his legend status a long time ago for me, but this is beyond anything football related now. He's a vile excuse for a man.

The feck is wrong with Giggsy? He has ruined his legacy already for me with his horrible choices in his personal life.
He wont ever be Manchester United manager.
Clearly a complete scumbag. All there is to it. Zero respect for him as a person.

Although never charged or convicted I don't think? And the allegation came out late 1990's and he was still working for Sky after that. Cannot imagine that same course of events happening today.
I can’t remember but didn’t his wife take him back or at least remain supporting him, even after the incident? Either way he was not a very nice person at times

I am not saying he should not be punished. The guy need help as well as punishment.
