So let me get this straight...

Microsoft pays for games to go up on Gamepass whereas Sony pays for games not to go up on it, but also not for it to go on their own equivalent.

Truly a company of the people :houllier:

What do people think of pro controllers, worth the cash? Most of them are very expensive, and all of them seem to break pretty easily too.

The Elite? They're great. Whether they're worth the cash is another matter. I got mine for less than the usual and have played a lot since first lockdown so feel I've got my moneys worth. If I was only playing as much as I was pre-lockdown it definitely wouldn't be worth bothering.

I've only really used the features on it for cod though, which I've hammered with it being so social. That you can crouch/slide/jump/reload without moving from the right analogue stick is pretty big.

Scuffs look good too but sounds like they have a lot of issues. I think some runs of the Elites have issues and some less so. MS warranty is super easy to deal with though.

I can't say that I play very seriously, but I do enjoy taking advantage of whatever I can to make me less shit. I've always played bumper jumper tactical, which is essentially trying to emulate the concept of not having to move from the right analog stick. The Elite would probably be top of my list, although I've also read a lot of bad stuff about the QC issues. Most of the other ones are wired, which wouldn't suit me as much. @VeevaVee did you get it on sale? MS aren't great usually for getting stuff like that at a decent price.

Literally no one with an Xbox pays attention to Game with Gold. Gold is for playing online. I might claim Tropico 4 though.

Why not claim all? They're free and even if you're not interested in the particular game there might come a time you appreciate having it there.
True, but probs unlikely. Lego games are meant to be decent though aren't they?

I claim every 360 game because it's for keeps. If you follow the right subreddits you can get the other games hosted in other countries as well.

As for the poster laughing at releasing free games for a console '15 years old'. Pathetic specimen.

We all love United
Hopefully the Kojima bloke revives the Silent Hill series if he’s doing a survival/horror theme game. That’s a classic!

I saw they're taking a whole bunch of Fifa games and FF9 away so assumed they'd be putting more up.

Unfortunately I hate FIFA and already beat FFX (it's decent and X-2 is garbage).

I'm loathe to complain though as I have at least 20 games to beat. Just finished Halo ODST.

Anyone else purchased Dev Mode on their Xbox Series S/X and using Retroarch?
It's incredible to have so many generations of gaming available on one console

Not yet, simply because of all the games I already have to play. I found a few guides online and it looks a breeze to set up.

What are you playing?
I’m currently in the process of creating playlists for as many retro consoles and systems as possible. So far I have every system running from the early coin-ops, colecovision, Atari 2600 etc up to Sega Dreamcast, PSP and PlayStation. Next on the list is Gamecube and Wii.

The menu system is not too bad when you get used to it. I’m used to retro gaming on a CRT but the shaders you can run on a flatscreen are actually very nice. And there are tons of options for different controllers.

I’m seriously considering building some kind of living-room friendly (ie wife friendly) arcade cabinet to house this thing - it’s an emulation beast!
