Within our budgetary limits, we do everything we can to buy Nmecha permanently. We are working hard on it. Lukas likes to be here, looks for stability and can play European football. He is surrounded with love and can develop himself. In the ideal scenario, for example, we will continue to work next season, so that he also scores more that way. The player has quite a say and with a year left on his contract, there may be a good price to be arranged with City. Only that file is not in our hands. If there is a club with 15 million euros, we have to pass.
I can see Premier League clubs going after him for that price. He's not been too bad at Belgium, and honestly, he looks like he needs to play at a higher level to get the best out of him. From what I've seen, he doesn't always seem to push himself in some of the matches.

Have you watch him this season? He's a bit shite for that price. Been watching Milan recently and he's been bad especially the last game.
On that note, the Italian media are slowly coming to terms with that and are starting to highlight those weak performances.

Note that this isn't based on anything substantial. It's just Gazzetta using their own conjecture and evaluations and extrapolating them to what AC Milan would think. Still, Diogo Dalot had similar negative coverage at the start, and I wonder if this'll mean more negative coverage from the rest of the Italian media.

Recently, Nicolas Tagliafico was linked to Leeds United by the Dutch press, and FcInterNews interviewed his agent, Ricardo Schlieper, about the possibility of the player joining Inter.

Inter clearly remain a big club in the world. But Nico only answered a direct question. Who wouldn’t like to wear a shirt as important as the Nerazzurri one? Everyone would like it. However, the same sentence applies to any important club. There is nothing concrete with Inter, in fact there is nothing with the Nerazzurri precisely because our partner in Italy, with whom I am in constant contact, has not talked to me about anything new. I’ll make a general speech: it’s still early, so many aspects will have to be analysed, let’s wait and see what happens.

[On whether Tagliafico has an understanding with Ajax to leave in the summer] This yes. He could have left last year, but then the whole European transfer market changed due to the pandemic. We agreed with the Dutch club that if a suitable offer arrives, which we have already agreed with i Lancieri [Ajax’s nickname], Nicolas would be free to leave.

Leicester is targeting Robin Gosens of Atalanta.

This was corroborated by Fabrizio Romano (via his Italian connections, I'm guessing).

I'm Norwegian and I don't have ties to Ole, except a small chat in Manchester in 1996.

Filtvedt has interviewed Ole several times, they do know each other.

I'm sure most of the stuff from last summer involved Sancho and that certainly was real even if it didn't happen in the end.

I don't think Kane is happening either, due to price, not lack of interest from our side.
I think he likes the internet fame, but he is not a bullshitter.

Sergi Roberto's priority is to continue in Barcelona. The club offers one more year of renewal, until 2023, [but] the player wants at least two. Long business but in the end they are supposed to reach an agreement. Optimism. Last year SR was about to sign for Man City.
Hold up, I don't recall seeing any such rumours.

  • Lemina is not part of Hasenhüttl's plans.
  • Ademola Lookman could be given another chance under Jesse Marsch at RB Leipzig.

they just produce too many young CBs, impossible to keep a hold of them, not even to keep track

Pretty much. Loïc Tanzi gave a bit more info in some of his subsequent Tweets where he was basically highlighting this. Mbuyi was a very promising player, but he is competing against a bunch of other good players around him, and he wanted to be exposed to first-team football sooner than later. Hoffenheim have done a great job in that regard with Christoph Baumgartner, Chris Richards, and most recently, Georginio Rutter, so I can see why Mbuyi would be tempted to join them.

Hopefully means they'll be able to afford Dalot. Or else they've leaked this to bring down the asking price for Tomori.

It wouldn't surprise me if Milan are leaking this out. They were doing something similar with Dalot only to see the coverage change in the past couple of months to them wanting to and having a chance at keeping him (albeit for a reduced price).

They just lost the Super League money they were gonna use to buy them.

I'm sure Ole's ideal scenario is for Cavani to stay for one more season and then try and get his boy Haaland next summer
Yeah it definitely is so he can also focus on a RW this summer and ideally a CDM too. I would have said CB but still feel Bailly staying ends any hope of us getting a Varane/Torres now so should focus on a proper no 6 now. A summer of Sancho & Rice looks very difficult with the finances but would definitely give us something different

Any truth in our interest in Raphinha (Leeds) to sort our RW??
There's nothing substantial to it as far as I'm aware. At this time, you shouldn't take it too seriously. The whole thing stems from the fact that Bruno knows Raphinha from their time together at Sporting.

Fantastic. Now we can focus on Sancho and a defender and get the no 9 next summer
We don’t even really need Sancho. A defender and a new midfielder would serve us much better. Our central midfielders are all average, and in such a key area of the field, improving that would improve us hugely.

If Pogba left, then I’d be more interested in Sancho, but with him also being another wing option on the left, the Greenwood type of goalscoring winger is more suited on the right. Along with the younger ones we are developing like Amad, I think we should be okay.

Agreed, if Cavani stays and Pogba signs a new deal then I'd concentrate 100% on fixing the double pivot.

Dalot is not even their first choice right back and they already have another backup right back named Kalulu. I doubt AC Milan is even interested to sign him permanently.

Swaps may be more prominent this summer, and if we can exchange Dalot for Kessie, who is entering his final year, that would be great business. We desperately need a bit more quality in the middle.

Why should they do that? Calabria is their first choice right back and Kalulu can be their backup. They pretty much have cover for it. If they are going to add player into their squad, should be for position that they need right?

Well because they are the ones who asked us for Dalot to play for them for a year, despite being aware that they have the players you listed. They obviously have some sort of use for him, which is why he plays for them now. If they can’t afford him or don’t want to pay, then letting go of a player who wants to leave and not sign a deal could be a way to do so and also get a player who maybe does want to stay there.

I believe that's because young 20 years old Kalulu only started made his debut in late of December 2020. They probably didn't expect him to be ready taking the first team this season and now they know he is good enough to take the spot, there is no reason why should Milan even consider to sign Dalot permanently.

It's similar how Fosu Mensah went on loan as right back to Palace but started sitting on the bench when Bissaka made his debut.

Whilst Dalot isn't as needed as a right back, he's still the primary backup option at left back. Outside of Théo Hernandez, AC Milan don't have anyone else who can play at left back. Given that he's not been too bad at left back, I can see AC Milan willing to buy him if they can't find another backup left back from somewhere.

Regardless of what was said and done in the past, Pogba and his family have been happy to stay in Manchester and still are for however long Pogba will remain.
