Prior to joining Watford, manager Xisco had only 11 games as a manager at Dinamo Tbilisi. He's done well in a short space of time

So any chance of Brentford winning promotion this year? EPL may do with an entirely new name in the end of the day, as otherwise it might simply be the same lot that got relegated last year

I am so stoked to see Ben Fosters Youtube content during a Premier League season. Watford sealing promotion today
Same, I hope the PL allow him to film it.

Less stoked about seeing Troy Deeney trying to break legs every week though.

Apologies if this has already been answered, but would this be the 1st time ever that the 3 relegated clubs from last season, all got promoted back into the top flight the season after? Can’t remember if it ever happened in the past?

Would be the first time ever. And there's only been five occasions when two teams have come strauight back up after the previous season's relegation.

2015-16: Burnley and Hull City
2009-10: Newcastle and West Brom
2006-07: Birmingham City and Sunderland
1997-98: Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough
1993-94: Nottingham Forest and Leicester City

Spread out pretty evenly, really!

The Championship promotion race may have been sub-standard by Championship standards in terms of drama, but the relegation battle has been very fun. In a huge way, we can thank Rooney for that.

Proud that my Wycombe boys will take it to the last game before mathematical certainty of relegation.
We need a ridiculous goal difference swing, which would have to be at least 13 goals or so, as Sheff Wed beating Derby is the only result that could help us.

Makes you amazed about how just 1 draw into a win would have given us a superb chance of a last day miracle. Even leading Swansea 2-0 away a few games ago and drawing 2-2 etc.

But after 7 losses to start the season, and then 1 win in 10, and a string of dodgy decisions against us, and covid wrecking us just as we were getting going again, it's been a brave battle. And every chance of featuring well in the upper echelons of league 1 next season.

Valiant effort. I kind of wish you beat us that game few weeks ago... But alas, you'll learn and come back stronger.

At least you got the 10 wins.

Wycombe didn't stink it up as so many predicted. I don't think we will be back for some time, but its been a good ride. A shame there were no fans.

Would like to see Brentford get promoted, Bournemouth and Swansea were in PL recently and Barnsley don't seem to be playing attractive football according to their stats (GF and GA) unlike Brentford.

2 minutes til the Survival game of Wayne Rooney.

Lose and it's League 1. Draw, and it's waiting to see if Cardiff could do them a favour by not losing against Rotherham . Win, and it's sailing to Premiership next season.

Rotherham 1-0 up. Means Derby have to win to stay up.

Holy shit, Waghorn for Derby just smashed into the back post going for a header.

That's the worst goalpost collision I've ever seen. Maybe the lack of a crowd and hearing that full volume made it seem worse than it was.

I've not really followed the Championship this season. Were Derby this low in the table before Rooney took over or has he been shit for them?
They have had a bad last 16 games, only won 2 of them. Derby fans want him gone regardless of survival it seems, by just going by their forum.

Bottom with 6 points from 11 games, he's not really got them looking up to much though and their fans want rid. Be interesting to see what he does if/when he leaves, can't see him going down a level to League One & he's done nothing to make any Championship or above team consider him. MLS job maybe.

That’s why VAR is needed for offside. Such a crucial goal and he was offside
