I'm failing to get this whole DGW business. Only 4 clubs play a game more than the rest which are palace villa Leicester and Everton, correct? Everyone else plays 5 games at the start of this GW so how does it make a difference if they are having a DGW followed by a BGW?

I was happy to sell Bruno despite him having that so called DGW as he would blank the following gw anyway so I am not missing out on an extra gw or anything.
The players I'm removing play once (Son) and about to be dropped (Vydra). The players I want double and don't blank (Zaha and DCL) and DCL also followed up the double with Sheffield United.

I plan to bench boost next week and Vydra is a worry.

Yeah with players of those 4 clubs I mentioned it's fine they get an extra fixture, but there are 4 other clubs who double in 35 and blank in 36 so don't get how having them is an advantage over those who simply have singles here on out. For example I had absolutely no hesitation in transferring Bruno out for Son.

Well I have Ridiger for example. If I use him for his double then swap to Dallas, I've had a player play an extra match. Then I'll bench Ihenacho, Bruno and Shaw and have a full 11 in GW36.

How many posts have you made talking about putting Bruno in now

The cafe will celebrate with you when you do it, and he hauls :)
I know it is possible to have Son, Kane, Bruno and Salah and I should have probably gone cheaper in def to allow me that as well. TAA, Azpi, Castagne cost a lot though for me.

The money lost for selling him was a bigger problem than I thought to get around.

Yeah I guess it depends on the player. For those you need after the blank you'd like not sell them for one gw.

Problem is you need a wildcard to move it around.

I got 6 of the 7 and then Shaw instead of Azpi, but had to skimp with dead weight as 3rd striker and second keeper, and a cheap main keeper.

Rolled the dice in not getting Kane back and captained Son. Very happy with that!

If we don't play tomorrow might as well start loading up on United and Pool players, presumably they'll fit it in 35/36.

Well played brother.

Does seem the logical place and would take the issue of United double week 35 then blank 36.

One of the papers had a range of dates, but 2 were this Mon and Tue, and the other 2 seemed to be squeezed in 2 days before games.

Yeah I have a fairly balanced team if Raphinha can play again. Just spreading the money around can be costly when you want to go for someone expensive. I had 4 big names in midfield back when KDB was a factor.
Then he got injured and I spread his money around rather than going for Sterling. Which worked I shall say since Gundogan did better than Sterling.

I'd be shocked if they made us play Tuesday with the Europa, though I guess they could claim it's our own fault so Tuesday or nothing. If it's not tomorrow I'm just going to plan on 36, it doesn't make any sense to squeeze it in 2 days before a game when there's an obvious solution.

The Evening Standard had Mon/Tue, and then the other 2 dates would mean 2 games in 3 days or an even sillier 3 in 6.
But that's if no other team is affected. I expect they'll force Brom v Pool forward 3-4 days and move us in on 15/16th.

You never know with these clowns though.

Tuesday could work, only because we have such a commanding lead. But it'd be a real liberty.

I can't imagine tomorrow is a goer. Just too close. It's 10pm, and if they'd have told clubs/tv on the quiet it'd have leaked.
They can't expect to drop it tomorrow and expect them to play the same day, no chance.

Liverpool played two games on the same day!

Oh man. Kane blanking with the armband and Son hauling has killed my week. Six no shows from United, Liverpool and Chelsea means I have 8 players max, if Jesse plays tomorrow.

27 points. Already 13.8k to 17k. Big dent to hopes of a top 10k finish.

Looks like doing Bamford to DCL last night with exact money may have backfired too, as I will be desperate for the money for Trent if Liverpool now double.

Tuesday is CL night, I can't see Sky agreeing to an early kick-off time on a regular day. They'll be pushing for it to be on the 16th.

No chance tomorrow and surely minimal chance of Tuesday.
We might have a 6-2 lead, but squeezing a game against our biggest rivals and a flight to Rome in the 2 days before the game is one sure fire way to open that tie up again!

They'll either walk over West Brom and make them change their game with Pool, or try and squeeze us in 2 days before another league game.

Me and the guy second in my league have similar teams, so we're both on the same points.

The guy in third has gained 50 fecking points on us because he took all good Liverpool and United players out with a wild card this week. I bet he is the one that organised the protest

Haha it would be epic if we could predict the protest by seeing teams in fpl removing United and Liverpool players in big numbers.

Like injury predictions by players selling teammates when they are injured we have seen.

Having reflected on this afternoon, I’m so glad the teams were named. Knowing that Phillips is fit again and straight back in the team is huge for me. Of course Klopp could be cnut and leave him out now, but it means I can focus on Vydra and Cresswell with my free transfers, maybe even take a -4 to get a doubling keeper on my bench boost.

Would it be worth WCing ahead of the DGW if pool get a double too and utd don't blank week after?
What on earth would you be waiting for it otherwise? It was already time to use it with the doubles on already. Let alone now!

I was saving it for this week, I was happy with my team every week before this by pure luck and it worked out. I was actually going to use it GW 31 but saved it in case of future DGW which is this week, just the blanks after are challenging.

I'm just glad a rival did his this week.
Imagine the carnage he could have done with something like

Mendy
Shaw TAA one other
Bruno salah jota Pereira
Dcl watkins nacho

Maybe having kane or son instead of a doubler.

I need to get this right, could get into the top 1k with a big week since not a lot of people will have their WC left. That looks like a great time, I am thinking Holgate might be a good extra def as well as adding in Kane for DCL somehow. I just don't trust DCL any more even after last week. Also think Dallas or Raphina(if fit) for the last 3 GW's could be good options.

Took a 1 week punt on Bale this week bringing him in for Salah. That worked well, just a bit gutted I didn't captain him. Likely have to leave him in now though and find another way to bring Salah in
How are you going to handle no Salah in a double?

And people dropping Salah for Bale? So many great players on here....
Superb. Until Salah gets a double the next week and there's mad scrabbling to get him back in.

I'm going to be watching West Brom v Wolves tonight with way too keen an interest for my 2 boys!

Kicking myself as I have a wildcard and bench boost left and forgot to use my wildcard ahead of this DGW.

Luckily this Man Utd postponement may end up working in my favour.

Thinking of using wildcard to stack up on Man Utd/Palace/Everton/Southampton players as they all have a DGW and should also have games the week after too if Man Utd games gets pushed back.

Then fill the bench with 3 Liverpool players for their DGW the week after.

Or I could even put 1 or 2 arsenal/Leicester players in too. And then sub them for Liverpool the week after. Decisions..

So means next week I can get 10x2 and then captain which is 1x4. So equivalent of 24 players.

Then use my bench boost for Liverpool DGW and get. 12x1, 2x2, 1x4. So 20 players that week. Making 44 over 2 gameweeks.

Had I done wildcard first I'd of had. 14x2, 1x4. So 32 players. Then 12 the week after. So 44 in total.

So not worked out too badly providing this MUN/LIV game is pushed to another GW.

The greatest team in history
So with United v Liverpool likely not on this week looks like I've completely jammed out getting JWP in for Bruno. Will be on 50 with Lingard to play.

Also carried 2 transfers from last week so can attack the double. If the Liverpool v West Brom game goes there Salah definitely has to come in.

Can do...
A) Salah, Philips, Ward in for Son, Alonso and Dias
B) Salah, Shaw, DCL in for Son, Alonso, Vardy
C) Salah, Robertson, DCL in for Son, Dias, Kane

Plenty of options. I definitely want DCL in for 36 so makes sense to get him early but option A leaves me with more big hitters and finally a fodder worthy bench.
