Is there anything Redcafe could do to help target the owners?

This is actually quite a decent idea. @sullydnl I would suggest you start this thread yourself and all of us who are serious about this initiative could contribute. There's no point trying to convince or engage with naysayers. If they haven't understood in 16 years, they won't understand now.
If a few people show their interest then I'll happily do it.

As I said in a post above, it doesn't have to be just about sponsors either. Could be as simple as posting the contact email for a Manchester MP and asking people to send them an email highlighting the importance of the fan-led review into the ownership of football clubs. Or any other minor forms of protests like that people suggest.

Not big stuff. Just small things made easy for posters by being spoon-fed the links or contact details in a post.

If it's coordinated by someone so that it's quick and easy for people to put their weight behind it, I think you'd have quite a few people willing to participate. Would be a meaningful thing to do.

They've put up a notice already . If you are going to go in, make sure you make it sound plausible. Too lazy to take a screenshot but below's the text.

This profile has seen a significant increase in reviews.

Although we understand you want to voice your opinion about things in the news and issues trending on social media, Trustpilot is a place for feedback based on genuine buying and service experiences.

If you've had a genuine experience with TeamViewer you're of course more than welcome to leave your review here. If your review does not reflect a genuine buying or service experience, Trustpilot reserves the right to remove it.

Any marketing types with suggestions for having a negative impact on traffic to their websites? Anything that could be done to affect their SEO? Genuinely curious and more than happy to get involved.

The Trustpilot thing is good but they'll probably remove all the negative reviews, I'd imagine.
This would be a pretty great route. Imagine if some SEO genius could rank on page 1 for their brand terms with damaging content, whatever that may be.

Also, isn't Trust Pilot UK only? I feel targeting the US equivalent would be a lot more fruitful.

Exactly. Nothing major, nothing that takes more than five minutes. Just "leave a review here" or "send an email to this address" with the links in the post. Or anything else of that ilk people suggest.

One of those every day certainly wouldn't be time consuming or difficult to manage.

As I say, I'll happily get it started if a few people in this thread show an interest.

If nothing else, being a small nuisance might be fun. Didn't the caf make up a story about Kaka coming to United that actually got reported before? Coming up with other stupid nonsense to get small amounts of attention shouldn't be beyond us as a group. I'm sure there are posters here with more creative ideas than me too.

Totally agree. Hope some others are interested too.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. If searches for these brands brought up tons of results for negative articles about the Glazers and the ESL, that would be great. I'm sure someone could even create webpages detailing what these brands are actually funding by being associated with United. Would be a useful form of disruption if at all possible.

As for Trustpilot, it's a funny gimmick but I can't see it having much reach, even if it does extend beyond the UK.

I'd gladly pledge some time to this idea. If you start a thread with some suggestions asking what people are comfortable doing, I'm sure lots of posters would get involved. Is this being aimed purely at commercial partners or also the club?

I do think the Glazers Out protest does need proper leadership. Some people with expertise in organising a sustained campaign and what tactics to use to really pile the pressure on.

That's the Mirror, The Star, The Telegraph and The Times who have all mentioned the TrustPilot reviews in articles, I think. It doesn't take a lot to get at least a bit of attention.

You need to be creative with your review otherwise they will remove it. By creative I mean understand the product and share a plausible bad experience worthy of the rating you give them.

Any recent reviews will be treated as suspicious now and all will be binned that are just one star rants.

I'm all for getting rid if, and it's a big if, you can guarantee that any new owner will be better.

As for the second part of your post, I'm not going to say wt I really think because I'll get banned. Suffice to say, it's a pathetic attitude.
So you're against it then? It's impossible guaranteeing something like that. You might as well post a selfie at this point, Joel.

I don't assume I represent every fan. If people don't want to anything they don't have to.

But given over 80% voted in support of the recent protests in a caf poll, I don't think it's a particular stretch to think a good chunk of the caf might also support more benign forms of protest too, or even just very minor activism like contacting MPs.

How it's supposed to be selfish, I have no idea. I don't gain from it.

Just on the last point. Causing potential harm to staff and players, assuming you represent / support those yellow and green, and causing the game to be cancelled, with potential points advantage to Liverpool, is selfish. You can protest as much as you like, leave the game alone.

One factor people need to remember is that they were willing to leave people behind. They were willing to shift the fan base and where the income comes from. Money can be created out of thin air, just like a nation can be in so much debt that can only mean its to be run like a business to reshape society and to change culture covertly -rather then represent you.. This is what people need to understand. They dont care about your money specifically. They want YOU to care for it in exchange for your mind/time and energy and to the point you cannot imagine life without their money. With that kind of enemy it's very difficult. They may look to make statement signings to put a plaster on the dam but this is a type of warfare that strips nations under darkness. You can help by asking why we have been turned into debt slaves and why language is controlled and contrived. And you can look at how people infiltrate under whatever guise they wish and influence. This is the world. Any good movement can be infiltrated and steered in ways that go against it's purpose. You have to understand why nations gave up the right to make its own money for the people, serving the people interest free. Why would they betray the people? Was it because most people have no clue? People use terms they gave you, to slander one another and most don't even understand and some may get it. What can we do? Looking in the right direction helps. Fighting the right enemy helps. Knowing how to think helps. Because they know how you think. Do people think the banks are relieved that its the glazers taking the heat? :)

Nobody said you did. In fact, 95% of those participants probably didn't do any violent conduct. All you need is a few rotten soul to do the unthinkable.

I don't think it would be that difficult to create a thread, nominate one of our bazillion sponsors every day, throw up the links to their profile on sites like trustpilot to make it convenient and let anyone who's interested help tank their reviews.

Given the caf is mostly people complaining about stuff, you'd think posting one bad review a day every day would be fairly within our wheelhouse.

God knows there were enough people complaining about both the protesters and the internet fans who weren't doing anything. Well, here's the sort of (minor) thing internet fans could do.
This is a decent idea. Again, every little bit helps.

Another would be for someone to throw together a #notapennymore app. Barebones, nothing fancy. Just the list of sponsors and then alternatives so that the average fan out shopping always has that info at their fingertips.

Some other ways:

1. a sticky explaining the basic details of the LBO: at the very least, there should be no posters who think the Glazers spend their own money.

2. a sort of 'curated' finance thread where only 'good' posts about the finances are allowed. No replies from riff-raff. This would serve as a place for posters to go and be educated without every other post being 'But the Glazers have spent/our interest payments are only 20m/yr that's nothing' and confusing many people. Some of those posts can be coming from hostile actors; better to have a place where they can't have any influence.

3. a sticky with profiles on all the Glazer children. The vast majority of posters here will think the Glazers, who are multi-millionaires - who have better cars, all that money, all that real-estate - are smarter than they are. This is largely incorrect. Joel and Avram are not. Brian *may* be smarter than the average barkeep or cop or store employee, but not smarter than a software engineer, a junior I-banker, etc to say nothing of a PhD or a decent attorney. Ditto the other Glazer children. A sticky will ease the burden of people having to do their research. Look where they went to school, look at all the things they failed at. These are not smart, conniving, calculating people masterfully manipulating Woodward/CEO and the fanbase.

Attacking the sponsors is a good idea, but to make a professional attack there is need a professional company like Cambridge Analytica or something like that to do it properly

Wish the Glazers left it alone considering they wanted to screw it (even more) a couple of weeks back. Forgotten ?

Sticky a comprehensive list of sponsors.

Sticky a thread for sharing pirate streams.

A reminder for international fans to consider not buying tickets when vacating in the UK.

Not saying the caf should do any of these things though. At least one of those things might be illegal too.

Always baffled me how much of a galloot does one have to be not to be able to find a football match stream. You literally type two words into google.

Maybe a joint open letter to Glazers from redcafe. But realistically, I do not think they respond to any inquiry. They are too arrogant and indifferent to want to answer

Sure, but the quality can be a bit of a jungle to navigate though. Some sites are pop-up-hell, others are notorious for cutting off. Finding a pirate stream is easy, finding a good one is harder.

Yeah but google doesn't give you one link does it. Check for yourself what's best, takes about 15 minutes to go through all of them if you're really picky. Better than asking for a 'river' under every single match thread. Pure laziness.

No "might" about it - it would be illegal.
I'm no lawyer, but it wouldn't surprise me if there were ways to circumvent the law when it comes to forum users sharing pirated streams amongst themselves. Things like relocating servers to another country, a disclaimer about users being responsible for their own posts, that sort of thing.

Censorship on the caf

Who decides what are "good" posts and those which are not?

If it's a fact that the interest payments are £20m pa, why would they not be allowed? You want the caf to be turned into a propaganda machine rather than a forum for discussion? I would hope the mods crack down on that severely.

Mate, your "I'll only be for it if you guarantee" is the most childish argument ever isn't it? Who the feck, especially on RedCafe, can guarantee you personally that potential new owners will be better than Glazers? It's all a risk, but take no risks get no rewards. Playing mind games in absolutes gets us nowhere.
