To be fair we have a virtually fully fit squad so should really be able to play two different sides and be competitive.

So the fixture list fecks us again, it always does.

IIRC were still the only club to play 2 games in 2 days in the PL era. Liverpool Sunday, Arsenal Monday i think it was

with the abandoned game and the SL fiasco - no one in the PL is going to do the club any favours.
Seems strange to punish footballers for behaviour owners and fans. I mean part of the protests were in solidarity with the other clubs over the SL. If anything the league should be applauding out fans standing with the league.

Bloody infuriating, but it was pretty inevitable once the hooligan element of the protesters got the match postponed that it would effect the players and, potentially, our results and chances of a trophy and 2nd placed finish.

It's bad enough as it is, I dread to think what will happen to the schedule if the minority of hooligans get any more of our matches postponed.

Hopefully, we'll still get to secure 2nd place while rotating players to prevent fatigue and injuries for the EL Final. But, at the very least, playing Liverpool so quickly after Villa and Leicester gives them a great chance of beating us and helping with their battle for top four. At worst, such a crazy schedule starts to effect our rhythm, fitness, injuries, form, results, etc, in such a packed run-in.

Some really wet people in here, openly crying about us having to throw a game.

To the jokers now moaning about the fixture pile up. Well done, you fools.

if utd miss out on top 2 and EL final now, its down to those idiots inside OT.

Peaceful protesting is one thing, breaking and entering and criminal damage is another.

Fixture pile up now, is the result of the imbeciles on Sunday

Seriously? I am sure most protesters were behaving as dignified as they could when entering Old Trafford unpermitted. However, ending up in fights with the police over ownership in football hardly goes as acceptable manners, no matter what moral goggles you put on. I would hope that most people frown upon violent actions over such an issue.
Did I condone violence?

From what I could see and according to the lads on Sky, those on the pitch didn't engage in violence. The clashes with police were outside the ground, so I'm not sure what your point is.

Not ideal but half of those games should be meaningless if we do what we should be doing and winning the first couple. Shite for the players after such a ridiculous season, but thats life I suppose.

Time for Bailly, James, Matic, Telles and maybe even VdB to step up. They need to show the manager they deserve more playing time for next season.

The team should prioritize the games against Villa and Pool. "Throwing" the game vs Leicester will be annoying, but at this stage we can't afford a big injury. Ole has to take pride out of the equation and focus on the big picture. The last two games of the league are very winnable and can secure second place if needed.
Yep, we’ll have to use the full squad to get through this period, couldn’t come at a worst time with the end of a super long season and before a cup final..

It'll be nice for Liverpool to get reacquainted with Thursday night football ahead of next season :)

There's only one United!
No problem with that. We haven't been best toward english football last couple of weeks with withdrawn SuperLeague and cancelled game. We should be lucky not to have even worse punishment. Wich we actually deserve.

What?! The players and our team don't deserve anything of the sort.

Try and understand the following:

All calculated by the FA to make it easier for Liverpool to find us very tired and beat us, thus making it easier for them to grab the three points that they need so much.

We're to blame, but the schedule is still a joke. I can get arrested for smoking a joint, I'm to blame, but the law is still a joke.
Exactly. A person can have disparate thoughts & emotions about the same event.

How are they going to miss out on Europa final for a start and how could it possibly be down to the fixture pile up when the match against Roma is tomorrow?

This is exactly what I expected. We won’t mind dropping points to Leicester of all teams out of that run. They’re not catching us with their fixture list.

Still basking in the glow of a glorious day for Utds support, correct.
OK, I used to participate in protests myself, anti-racism and anti-neonazism. I can understand the rush, but I don't think this is a cause worthy of attacking civil servants over. Rather a twat than a misguided brute.

I am not surprised SadCafe is absolutely shitting massive bricks though  any excuse. We'll be a doubt for top 4 now in some peoples minds again, absolute maniacs. The hating of our supporters for protesting to save the club too, textbook stuff.

Ole must rotate the squad. Best team at Villa and at home to Liverpool.

We'll be grand lads - two of those games are at home. We decide when they get played.

The reasons the game was abandoned apparently weren’t solely because of what happened outside the stadium.

In the Athletic article, there was mention of turf issues, a crossbar on one of the goals damaged, & balls stolen among other issues.

Well seen you’ll not be doing 4 matches in 8 days with comments like that.
Neither will any of our players. The great thing about being out of sight in the race for top four is we're free to rest players without worry.

The FA clearly didn't give much thought to the punishment process if this is the worst they can do.

Which was my point. I'm confused were you just adding on to what I was saying in agreement? I'm so used to every reply on this site being an argument haha.

The amount of people on here who are more worried about punishments than trying to force these parasites out baffles me.

You deserve the Glazers.

I'd rather finish 14th and have a chance at getting them to sell than finish 2nd and hope they will change theirs ways. They never will. The club is being bled dry. 1.4bn lost to interest and loan payments alone. It's criminal.

Players and our team don't deserve that. Our organisation do. So no complaining from my side.

I don't think for a second that TheFA is doing the list to help Liveprool in this case.

Villa is must win. Drop points and it could snowball into something precarious in just a few days.
Jesus, Chicken Little. We’re literally >99% to make top 4. West Ham have to run the gauntlet to reach 70 points. Liverpool ditto for 69. We are on 67 already.

Thats what the so called fans wanted, i guess.
You deserve the Glazers. Can't you understand how ridiculous your post it.

Do nothing then and just accept we are a piggy bank for them and no longer a serious PL and CL threat? Awesome.

We’ll get through it but it must come as very unwelcome to the players after the long season, remember we didn’t get much time off because of Covid last year. Could be doing without it tbh.

Don't know why everyone is complaining. Players just had an extra break, they are well rested for the coming week. Roma tie is over. Ole can rotate. 4 points from Villa, Leicester, and Liverpool will secure 2nd place.
I'd rather be where we are than where Liverpool is. They needed that match played last Sunday much more than we did.

Is it possible to support the team, criticize the ownets, not worry about punishments, applaud peaceful protest free of rampaging, not condone violent actions and damages, or am I totally out of line?

Just like someone could agree with the protests but realize that we did this to ourselves & are totally to blame for the upcoming schedule.
It's punishment to the players if anything, who had nothing to do with the protests. 3 league games in 5 games and would actually be dangerous if we didn't rotate.

It's designed to punish us but it's a bit of a snide way to do it.
