I’d take a loss to Leicester if it means a win against Liverpool.
I would too but those 2 games are tough even without our tight schedule. It'll be time for some squad players to step up, can't see for example Wan Bissaka playing all those games, he's been playing non-stop whole season, same goes for Maguire, just like last season.

Throw the Leicester game to feck over Liverpool and play the full strength team vs them those cnuts
This pile up actually fecks up Chelsea and Pool more than us. We can go strong against Villa, play the kids against LC (also as a feck you to the FA and PL), and then again go full strength against Pool.

Yeah, you could. This sentiment definitely isn’t just on one side.

Ive never used the ‘ignore’ feature before. That’s a thought.
I hadn't really before that night either. There was just one thread where it was like shooting really smelly fish in a barrell.

The protests had to happen.

We could loose second spot or a final, but I think it has come to a point where the bigger picture matters more than the immediate one, as much as it pains me to say it.

If that Liverpool game had gone on as scheduled, the protests and discontent amongst fans wouldn’t have been heard as loudly. That’s the nature of the highly mediatised and symbolic world we live in at the moment.

What makes most sense would be to play a full strength side against Villa to ensure the 3 points and then mix in the subs and young guys against Leicester. That would give guys 4 days between playing Villa and Liverpool and we damn well want to beat the scousers and keep them out of 4th spot.

We will be fine. Twat move from the FA, but feck it, they will never change.

The protests must go on, but hopefully the violence will stop.

Wouldn't be the worst thing having the second lot of protests at the Leicester game and having it against postponed. Worst case scenario, Leicester get all three points.

What?! The players and our team don't deserve anything of the sort.

Try and understand the following:

All calculated by the FA to make it easier for Liverpool to find us very tired and beat us, thus making it easier for them to grab the three points that they need so much.

Elementary Watson Elementary !!
Liverpool have the games to play on 16,20,23 May, then which date will you suggest to insert the postponed game?
No one in FA would expected the game was postponed. Then how can they calculate if the game played on a arranged date?

We have a 5 day rest between Liverpool and Fulham, and then a week before our final game against Wolves (who hopefully will be 'on the beach').
Depending how we go, our last 2 games may see weaker sides put out.

They'll be expecting people at the Leicester game and will have a show of force out. Absolutely nobody should show up for it and let them think we're done, then rock up again en masse for the Liverpool game.

There was barely any hooliganism for a protest of that scale.

It's unfortunate that copper took a bad hit, you cant avoid shit like that half the time.
Well, I guess the organizers should take full responsibility for that unavoidable collateral damage? Managing the extreme fans and distancing yourself from "casuals" is probably a wise approach. In my youth, I remember taking part in protests where people were beaten by riot police without any officers taking a proper hit. It made it all the much easier to defend the participation and use as leverage in debates. The less peaceful events were harder to defend and probably worked against the cause...

At least Chelsea is in a better position. Honestly play the kids and fringe players vs Leicester. The F.A are corrupt cnuts

For a protest that's supposedly about 'giving a voice to fans', it's amazing how dismissive and abusive some are to those disagreeing with the violent aspect of the 'peaceful' protest.

"Cowards" and "soft twats" are just two of the descriptions on here so far - and it's similar on all the other threads about it. It's not exactly 'respecting the views of fans', is it? 'Fans' are a bunch of individuals with many different views - yet some of the protesters seem to adopt the Orwellian attitude of 'all fans are equal, but some are more equal than others' in their dismissive attitudes towards any opposing views.
Couldn't agree more!

Could have played it between Fulham and Wolves, but never mind it's another game where we have to utilise the squad like it's been all season. What I can see is Foxes and Chelsea benifit a bit. It has got to be played one way or another so we just get on with it.

There will be far more security & police are every remaining home match.

I doubt any effective protest outside the stadium will be allowed to get to any riled-up stage.

There won’t be any possible postponements unless absolute havoc ensues. If it does, then scheduling congestion won’t be our worries.

feck off Premier League giving our 2 biggest rivals for top 4 a huge advantage. feck off.
Missing out in the CL would be an added "up yours" to the glazers with the money they'd lose.

Where the grass is greener.
There's opposing opinions then there's people having hissy fits and labelling everyone who were at the protests as trouble making scum bags who have put our whole season into jeopardy.

I'm assuming West Brom couldn't be compelled to have their game vs Liverpool moved. They're fighting relegation. Given the circumstances, we can't really complain. Thankfully, champions league qualification is all but secured. If last Sunday achieves something in the long run, this minor irritation will be more than worth it.

Yeah I’m not sure where else they could have put the game

It was always going to have to be squeezed in somewhere

If anyone on this forum will moan if we lose against Leicester or Liverpool, he/she is a knob. Poor Ole though, imagine if we throw away the CL places because of the fixture congestion.

Im seeing it everywhere. Like you cant have an opposing opinion if you dont live in the shadow of Old Trafford
Nobody says that. I don't live in Manchester and if Ireland wasn't in lockdown I'd be over protesting at every home game. What people are saying, is that if you're criticising local fans for protesting what's happening to their local club because:

a) you're upset that some people broke onto the pitch,
b) a game you wanted to watch got postponed,
c) fixtures got a bit congested,
d) they risked getting some points deducted,
or;
e) they risked upsetting some sponsors and hypothetically our ability to make more money than other clubs,

then, don't get upset if some of us lose respect for you.

Nobody is criticising anyone for speaking out against violence against police officers or anyone else. Show me someone who is and I'll show you an idiot. Some people are explaining that a couple of idiots going too far is inevitable at any such event and that minority shouldn't be used to quash legitimate protest, but that is a very different thing.

I feel like you lot are seriously missing the point. Finishing 2nd would be huge for Ole, huge for the players and a step in a positive direction for them. Don’t you want the team that you supposedly support and it’s current roster of players to feel good about all they’ve achieved this season and carry it in to next season?

I think many need to re -evaluate the rubbish they are spewing here.
So you'd rather finish 2nd which means nothing whatsover than try get the Glazers out?

Good one. Yeah let's continue to support these blood sucking parasites. 1.5bn lost now to dividends and bank interest payments since 2005. 1.5 billion.

Awesome..

Areas we can rotate in are Bailly and Lindelof, Shaw and Telles, McTominay and DVB, Fred and Matic, Greenwood and James, Pogba and Rashford and depending how much longer he’ll be out for Martial and Cavani so it’s about using the squad wisely.

We can play a few squad/fringe players tomorrow against Roma as bar an utter capitulation we should go through and our away form is incredible, Villa without Grealish are nowhere near as good and again our away form is incredible.

I’d fancy us to beat Leicester but I definitely don’t see us losing even without our best team out but we need to be at full strength against Liverpool because that’s a game we can make a statement in and carry serious momentum into next season.

I think it’s Fulham after that who’ll most likely be relegated by then so again we can rotate and then rest a load of players against Wolves so we’re fresh for the Europa final should we get there, it’s not as bad as it all looks.

Need to rotate as much as possible over these four games. A win versus Villa pretty much guarantees top 4, do we help Leicester with a weaker team and keep the first team for Liverpool, always love a win against them..

Weak team against Roma, strong against Villa.

Evaluate the situation before Leicester, we might be alright by that time

It was probably the policing. Aston Villa were at home the same night West Brom could have played Liverpool.

Couldn't agree more, was much easier to move Liverpool v west Brom forward and play United v Liverpool on May 15th, 16th.
As much as I would prefer better scheduling, there would be no justification for moving forward Liverpool's fixtures to compensate for a game delayed by Manchester United fans at Old Trafford.
