What happened to Madrid the last few years?

Their best players got old and they have brought in various foriegn and homegrown talents that simply haven't developed.
They've tried the longterm plan but at the moment their future looks quite underwhelming. Plus, the Bernabeu is getting a revamp.

All 4 teams in these SFs play significantly better football than us imo. We could of course beat them on our day, but the control in the midfields is something to be pretty envious imo.

People will continue to disagree but unless you have players in midfield who can control football matches and a team that can dictate possession seemlessly you aren't going to become a truly great team these days. Every time I say this people get riled up but it's true that we need to learn it and fast. Blood, thunder and old school footy only gets you so far in the modern game.

Yeah Varane having a couple of brainfart moments in the second leg killed off the tie. I don't know why some people are certain City will beat Chelsea. It's like they've soon forgotten they had comfortably knocked them out of the FA cup a couple of week back. They play a FA cup final before it which they might win and they can easily carry on that momentum.

Chelsea are a team on the rise. Not at City's level but they have a really good mood and footballing cohesion about them right now due to Tuchel. They definitely seem the most likely challengers to beat City in the final although would still be underdogs of course.
