    So many negative posts here

Can you tell me any other team in this premier league campaign that is able to claw back victories from loosing positions as much as we do?

    Patience is required
That only happens when we moan. When were patient nothing happens.

I think we'd prefer to look like twats afterwards provided we get the 3 points.

Scott McTom one of the most average midfielders I have ever seen at the club. Constantly gives the ball away and rash in the tackle

Typical United first half away performance. Slow, sloppy, no structure and deservedly behind. Maybe we'll produce our usual second half away performance and bang in a couple of goals in a rousing comeback. We can't keep doing it week after week though. Eventually we’ll come unstuck.

Started the game bright enough with some decent chances. That seemed to fade and we became a bit flat. Second best to a lot of balls and a few mistakes, Villa's goal typified that. Disappointed with the reaction to that goal. Need something a lot different this second half.

In some games McTominay is a complete passenger. Contributes very little in both ends.
a little unfair.. I bet you'd see more if there was a tactical camera, although I agree there are better out there. but he's still better than fred

We will be fine when Bruno decides to stop playing for Aston Villa and passes to his united team mates instead

Let's drop the hysterics here. Not a bad half, we're the best team out there. But this is a good team we're playing. Cavani on would be nice though, the Villa back 4 has too much control.

Nothing in the game other than a wonder strike

If we step up a gear we'll be fine

Certainly no need to panic at this stage

Shouldn’t let the scoreboard colour our perceptions of the game too much. Villa have offered little and are doing very well to be 1-0 up. We started the game well and Martinez has had to be quite busy in his own box. Need to up it again second half. I’d like to see Cavani on.

We play with 2 defensive midfielders yet game after game go a goal down. Ole needs to abandon this approach and be more attack minded. As for our appalling attempts from playing out the back, when you can't pass as a team, it's futile.

Midfield is killing us. Can't control the game with Fred and McTominay. Time and time again it's the same story.

Pressing doesn't mean our forward line chasing the ball either and being played around. It's embarrassing to watch. The entire team needs to press.

Bag an early second half goal and we will be fine but the big lad has to come on if we’re still behind on the hour mark.

This team needs about 3 key improvements. The fact we haven't got a out-and-out forward aside from Cavani is abit of a joke.

How people are blaming Lindelof here is a joke. He made the tackle, got a bit unlucky from the bounce. It's not like Traore was in prime striking position. 99/100 times this goes nowhere, not the top bloody corner.

The issue is the two midfielders, especially McT, who lose the ball in front of our box. These are players meant to be able to keep the ball and beat the press, at least somewhat competently. They're anything but that.
This. I am not Lindelofs biggest fan, but he got a tackle in and was a bit unfortunate it bouned right back into Traore's path, and as you said, that shot probably has 0.1 in xG, its almost impossible to score on that.

Most of the blame has to go to McTomminay who gave the ball away cheaply outside the box

I'm not sure any other team concedes as many banter goals as we do. It's remarkable.

Is it even worth talking about Lindelof anymore? We know what to expect out of him. He's done it more than enough now.

A lot of rubbish performances so far. However, McTominay has stood out. Aston Villa have passed him like go in Monopoly. Even more non-existent than the iceman who's melted.

Lindelof is a fecking joke of a defender. We need an upgrade urgently in the summer. Id put it as the most important position we need to fill in the summer. The amount of goals we have conceded because of his weak as shit defending is unacceptable.

We played pretty well for most of that. Started off really sharply, didn't get the goal, they got a freak goal out of nothing but we've been a bit slow since then. Rashford hasn't been good as the striker. McTominay has been pretty non existent in midfield. Need more out of them.

Pogba has a hand on him or a shirt pulled like 90% of the time and yet the ref never blows. His strength is actuallly working against him in this game.
It's ridiculous, the amount of times it's happened this season is approaching triple figures.

Mctominay is very poor. Not enough of energy even though he has been rested so long. he should be running into spaces when United has possession. Cavani has to play. Nobody challenges the center-backs. Rashford is in poor form, shouldn't have play him.

Worst case scenario so far. Losing, barely threatening, and no chance we can "rest" anyone later on.

Probably have to stick like this for another 15, then get one of McFred off, and get Cavani on. Move Pogba back centrally.

Dreadful passing out from the back yet again. I feel like I say the same thing every game.

If we insist on this, the second pass has to be to the halfway line, not fecking Maguire and Lindelof trickling it to each other repeatedly
TBF with the midfield options of McFred it’s not hard to be a bit safe

Really unfortunate to go behind, they’ve had one half chance and taken it. We’ve done well to get into attacking positions but not enough players in the box to make it count, I can see Cavani coming on in the 2nd half with 30min to go though would like us to sub off McTominay early as he is struggling out there.

McTominay really is the weak link in this XI. The only thing he offers is his physical attribute.

Lindelof is shocking today. We need fox in the box, Cavani!!

Lindeloft is crap, never see such a weak CB. Mistake waiting to happen. Rushford doesn't work hard enough, I see more sprint and urgency from a 33 yo Cavani. Fred also play a part in that goal. If there is a good bid for Fred, I would definitely sell him. As a Brazilian, he is easily replaceable.

Ole with hairdryer no.57 of the season. Sooner or later he's going to start cutting out the middle man and just read them the riot act before the games.

How many crosses Hendo collected today? Not to mention that Hendo can't make any tough save. Guy saves only what he must and what every keeper in PL would. It is a complete farce trying to make Hendo as our no1 while he is not even half a keeper than Dave is
You're living in the past mate.

De Gea isn't that guy anymore and Henderson is comfortably out-performing him.

No need to panic and I’ve learned enough not to go mad half time, but considering we have so many games to play I’d like to see us giving a break to usual chase the scoreline till the last minute stuff.

Cavani has to come on, we've absolutely ZERO presence in their box.

Cavani could have bagged three in that first half.

Boils my p*ss when players like Luke and Rashford get to the touchline and it's obviously going to be cut back and the players in the box are just sitting on the edge of the box instead of making a run as if they are going to loop a fecking cross in that situation.

Stupid goal given away Lindelof mostly at fault and that was Villa only shot on target until the last kick of the half. Where was this pressing and intensity from Villa when they played Man City recently?

have you ever even stood between the posts? it's actually quite difficult to take a cross if no cross comes in - and you know why no crosses are coming in? they know we now have a keeper who comes for them and takes them
 . They have few crosses even on in around 6 yard box. But ok, i will play that game. Then they also know that they only need to shoot on the goal and will score.
