Goals from the past (Edinson), present (Bruno) and future (mason). Love to see it.
Ha! That's excellent. Our three best goal-scorers by far. Each of their goals were very definitively their sort of goal as well. Mason with a lazer accurate finish, Cavani with world class movement and header, and Bruno with his ice cool penalty. Lovely jubbly

Pogba is the best midfielder in the league.

Top top cameo from Cavani. Worked his ass off in defense, scored a great goal. Superb player.

Maguire's injury was always going to happen after everyone's been talking about his full game run this week, wasn't it?

Rashford unsurprisingly not great but delivered that beautiful ball for Edison goal.

Villa Park remains a happy hunting ground for United. Yet another hard earned win with plenty of character shown in that win. Greenwood, Cavani in fine goal scoring form. Hopefully the injury to Maguire is nothing serious.

Just need 1 point to secure a top 4 place finish now and 4 points to finish 2nd.

Quality second performance from us and a good win in the end. We needed it at half time after our good start to that half fizzled out and we went flat.
The penalty early on the second half was key. Fantastic goal by Greenwood, what a turn and finish and well the last goal was the most Cavani goal you'll see, but very important as things were a bit nervy around then.
Hopefully Maguire's injury is nothing serious as that's the only negative from that half really. Don't fancy some of the remaining games and Europa League final without him.

Hoping Maguire is okay.

Overall we deserved the result, excellent (or freak) finish aside Villa did not look like creating much, but we kept giving them opportunities they did not exploit. Need to clean that up to finish the season on a high note.

Cavani has been excellent and Greenwood looked our most dangerous attacker until he was subbed off.

If my memory serves me right, Mings and Luiz combined to give us two goals in the previous home game too. Mings for missing a header and Luiz fouling Fernandez in the PK area.

Someone needs to check whether are they on the payroll.

Our left side right now is so dynamic with Shaw and Pogba. It's beautiful to watch in full flow. Pogba also seems to be enjoying his football, big smile on his face for the entire game.

Props to Ole for bringing on Matic too, that sub calmed everyone down and blunted the Villa assault who had been putting us under a lot of pressure. Solid win today.

Great numbers from Greenwood overall (in his teens). I thought the defending was really poor for his goal, it's insane how the defender got turned and suddenly Mason was free with ZERO obstruction, and it wasn't really even that deft a move. It also wasn't a corner slotting goal. In any case, I hope he continues to grow because that was more a target-man style goal than his other goals.

Cavani's movement for his goal and Rashford catching it was just a beaut.

I feel like the midfield forward play was fairly weak, McT in particular didn't move the ball forward in meaningful ways and often lost it. Defensively him and Fred are OK.

The team does feel much more balanced than it did at the start of the season. All those endless debates about Martial and how the team wasn't getting the best out of this sulky generational French talent has all but dissolved into the wind.. nobody remembers AM9

A very important win, given the fixture congestion. Top four is secure to all intents and purposes; I think second is safe. This gives Ole more room for manoeuvre in terms of resting players. The focus can now be upon picking teams in the remaining league games with the Europa final in mind.

We'll be fecked without Cavani and Pogba next season
Not really 'if' we purchase the right players to improve key areas we'll be fine. Cavani will be a bigger miss than Pogba for me. We shall have to wait and see what the owners do, as who'd want to join a club where the fans are trying to affect the clubs owners by targeting that team & sponsors.

Enjoyed that second half, our front players were just way to good for Villa, Maguire and Shaw very good in defence.

If we pass it more to Cavani he is going to score more.

Easy comeback. It's what we do. Only blemish is Maguire's injury, hope he can make the final.

I'd like to give props to our right hand side. All 3 goals came from there. AWB was a big reason why. His crosses haven't gotten there yet but his passes into the box created the first two goals. Rashford with a fantastic cross too. Cavani is the smartest footballer we've had in a while and Greenwood's finishing is elite.

With this win, CL is all but secure, one more win this week will almost guarantee second spot. Hope the players recover well.

Good win and some quality football.

- You Maguire haters will find out how good he is if he has to sit some matches.
- That AV goal summarizes the lack of quality of McFred. Fred poor touch and McT not quick and smart
- Pogba and Shaw are a great duo
- Rashford not a good striker as we could see the difference with Cavani

I don't mind losing to LC if we knock Liverpool out of CL contention on Thursday. Will we see Diallo on Tuesday?

I really hope Cavani stays. Sancho, Rice and CB will transform this side to challenge next season. Let's get this done by selling Martial and Lingard.

By now these teams have to realize that they're much safer not scoring first when Utd come to visit!
I think the Utd cant attack v low blocks narrative needs to die. We come back too many times that it should be a problem for us if it were true.

Had no doubts we'd win, even after going a goal down. I still think you can see where we can make a few obvious upgrades but the team's not far away at all.

Superb second half. Cavani is just so good.

We need an upgrade on Lindelof this summer.
Culprit of the 1st, almost cost us a 2nd. Lindelof supposed to be rested, right? So too much exercise during weekend?

I'm really happy for the 3 points. I want us to lock down top 4 as soon as we can so we can concentrate on the final.

As I always say though, we need to buy a young Matic this transfer window. Hugely important.

Villa busting a gut as per normal for an opp team against us, our quality shone through sec half but we cannot keep going a goal down. Fast losing patience with Lindeloff and his weakness in defence.

Can see 10 changes for Leic game.

Yeah, this was true at some point but it's not true any longer. We're smashing these low blockers with regularity.
