Interviewed by Rio.

At 9:44, Rooney talks about how he didn't enjoy his season as the centre forward.

The stuff from Rashford is fascinating too. He discusses his debut at 20:10.

Interesting what Rashford says on the importance of Bruno, says he wouldn't even dare making certain runs without him being on the ball. Rashford is class in every interview, we're lucky to have him.

If only he was class on the filed eh. Too injury prone to be paid what he is and Greenwood is a far better striker and finisher.
Rashford has been here years now and I don't see him getting any better, he's at his peak.

really enjoyed that. Nothing groundbreaking, but nice to see footballers being able to talk with some freedom and insight.

its perhaps a good reminder of just how good Rooney was in the first half of his career.

Anyone remember which journo/article put out that story about how a catalyst for Rooney being phased out by Mou was that he fell out with Rashford during training or something

Same can be said of your posts. Terrible take.

I’ve read a lot of posts in my time on RedCafe but this is right up there with the worst of them.

 Why is everyone obsessed with who is the better striker? There are 9 other outfield positions and 3 more attacking positions.

Another assist yesterday and at the age of 23 only Mbappe and Haland have more goal contributions at a younger age . Peak my arse.

Moving on from that train wreck of a post, that was a really enjoyable video.

A bit annoying the on screen bits they were discussing were only shown in freeze frames rather than actually showing the action which I assume is a copyright issue, but a great joint interview.

Also, Wayne looks in better shape now than his final season with us

Funny thing is that this has been far from the truth thus far.

Rashford broke through and had games as a striker that Greenwood can only dream of so far. Greenwood centrally as a striker has not been good as Rashford. Though I am not saying potential does not exist.

Good video. Interesting to see Rooney's take on stats, longevity and how all he cared about was trophies. Highlights the difference between him and players like Shearer and Ruud probably.

Can’t watch the video yet. Why didn’t Rooney enjoy playing as a striker?

Why is everyone quoting that guy ? He is a WUM. In my younger days, I used to create ID in rival forums just to do the art of wumming. Call their best players overrated. Its fun to see people falling for it :D

He wanted to play deeper so he could get on the ball more. He mentioned a game where he scored two goals and after the match he was unhappy because he barely touched the ball.

Said he didn't get involved that much. Didn't have the patience for the position. A very Rooney thing to say, to be honest.

OMFG what are you talking about? Absolute drivel.
Just look at the stats. He’s second in both goals and Assists. Cavani, Greenwood and Martial are way off his numbers. Only Bruno is better.
Yes he’s been nursing a recurring injury, but injury prone?! Not the same thing. How many times does he get smashed by defenders then get up and carry on.
He’s 23 for crying out loud. Nowhere near his peak. The underrating of Marcus by a large number on here is criminal. The lad is a United legend in the making.

Some may say he's too injury prone to be paid what he is and Greenwood is a far better striker and finisher but Rashford has been here years now and I only see him getting better as he reaches his peak. Absolute class on the filed.

Yeah I remember hearing that at the time or a number of years ago at least. Rio was absolutely baffled that he couldn't be happy with scoring 30 goals in a season.
