Potential aggravated assault during a prior bus attack is fine, but a potential Covid breach is just one bridge too far...

Joke of a decision but no surprise really, allowing fans into a stadium closed by CoVid regulations should have been enough to have the game awarded to us irrespective of anything else

Think ‘them’ refers to Leicester, but it’s poorly written for clarity.

No doubt most on there just nodded their heads when reading that regardless.

e - their math is also a bit suspect...

They apparently think Saturday to the following Sunday is six days.
Yeah I see it now that does make more sense, but with RAWK you never know.

They are a special bunch over there.

Just took a look at their reaction to the rearranged fixture and they have gone full Qanon, Man Utd and the Deep State are out to destroy them. There are a bunch of them claiming, with no evidence at all, that the PL offered them the 3 points but they turned it down because they are too principled to accept the forfeit and want to earn it on the pitch. In fact the game has been scheduled for next Thursday to inconvenience them and cause fixture congestion with a suggestion that we wanted it this way despite the fact that they have just had a 2 week mid season break.

Shocked to see United at full strength so they can rest players against Leicester and then go full strength against us.
Yep, so obvious what's gonna happen. Integrity of the league indeed!
Don't have an issue with this, we'd have done exactly the same in their position. The real problem is us not being awarded the 3 points.
Lolol @Lindelof defending
Fred and Mctominay haha.
A Villa win here would be super.
...

How the hell are they second. Absolute garbage
Chelsea gave them a head start.
A combination of drop in form/stupid amount of injuries and Frank Lampard
...
That United away kit is truly the worst thing I've ever seen worn by a supposed top team in the Premier league era. Even our 'Space invaders' number from 2012/14 wasn't this bad.
What an idiot Luiz.
Some players are just thick aren't they?
Kinell, at least 22 penalties they've had in just over a year.
Yet another pelanty awarded.
These would be 14th without the refs this season.
The problem isn't that the penalty was given.
The problem is that if that had gone the other way, the referee wouldn't have given it.
They can always rely on a penalty one way or another.
If that’s Mane or Salah they’re getting told to get up and then lambasted in the media.
It was actually a penalty.
Yep, pretty stonewall. Even the reaction of the Villa players was like "WTF ya doin?!"
Not the point that people are making is it? The problem is if that had been one of ours we'd have got nothing.
Brain dead defending from Douglas Luiz but feck me, Pogba couldn't wait to go down there
ha Mings being awful again. Martinez was poor as well.
title race is still very much alive!
Fernandes
fakest tough guy since Phil and Grant Mitchell.
They really do think they are untouchable, Rashford with a little kick out then
Penalty changes the game. It was a penalty in my mind but, to echo the sentiment on here, it would not likely have been awarded if it was Salah or Mane.
Traore just kicked Maguires head, hope his foot is ok.
Looked handball that by Greenwood? Surely VAR must check
Give it long enough and can ignore it, don't even ask the ref to check the monitor
Great volleyball spike by Greenwood on the header into the dager area
Yeah, seen those given as penalties this season.
Interestingly the BBC haven't even mentioned the possible handball.
...
Would be furious if that was given against us, would be furious if it wasn’t give for us.
The handball rule is a real mess at moment no one really knows.
Yeah we do
Handball against United player?
-- Ruling: Not given
Handball against any other player?
-- Ruling: Rolls dice..
That should have been a penalty. He almost juggled the fecking thing.
....

I’d actually rather United win, means they have to now try to beat Leicester.
How do you figure?
Eh? A win here puts them well ahead of Leicester and Chelsea.
Because if they win then the title is still technically achievable meaning that Solskjaer will presumably have to try to beat Leicester, if they don’t then it’s gone and it becomes a meaningless match which you just know that Ferguson wannabe prick Solkjaer will field a weakened side to feck us over.
They won’t win the league anyway so I’d rather they win this to keep them honest vs Leicester
....

MaGuire the most booked player in the league this season but he's escaped any suspensions. How does that work?
You need to ask?
He must be due in court soon.
It’s getting on for 12 months since he allegedly attacked those Greek policemen disguised as Albanians.
Slabhead injured here, seemed a twist of the knee?
He’ll be back on Thursday if he is indeed injured.
Barkley is stealing a living aint he, just like Theo Walcott, does something of note once a year and lives off that.
Slabhead looks set to miss the game with us now. FFS.
It's not as if his replacement is much better though.
Bailly's turning circle is much smaller than his though.
...
This is a good result for us
Man Utd can still win the league mathematically, so they won't be able to field a reserve team on Tuesday
I think they will and there won’t be an uproar if they do rest players ... league is over, every one knows that and they’ll want to be full strength against us.
Cavani... he’s been a great signing.
Nightstalker's decent, can't deny it
The documentary on Netflix or Cavani?
I didn't rate Cavani once. I was very, very wrong.
Cavani's movement is a joy to be hold....looks to be a nice guy off the pitch too.
in hindsight, he'd have been a shrewd back up signing for us, but no one saw off the drop off of Bobby and Sadio and Jota's injury.
Yeah Cavani is class. Annoying how it’s worked out for them as it wasn’t some master signing, was a last minute panic buy for a player who had almost joined another team only for it to fall through.
Those type of signings can be invaluable, when they experience and touch of class comes in for 1-2 seasons. Chelsea have done similar with Silva (especially now under Tuchel).
...
Villa's defending in the second half has been awful.I've no idea how Mings has managed to get into the England squad.
This means they will at least take the leicester game, somewhat seriously.
...
Umm I mean he got his leg didn't he? or an I seeing things
There was contact, light but still contact and you hear these experts say if you feel contact then go down. Talk about moving the goalposts when it suits you.
Ha ha ha how bent is English football
Laughable
Watkins gets a second yellow for diving, looked like a bit of contact?
50 dives a game go unpunished and now he decides to send someone off for that.
Is there any player that plays for United that doesn't dive?

For once, I actually want to see 90 minutes of Richarlison shithousery now.
So are we hoping for a Bitters win?
City could have won the league today with only 80 points ffs.
Need Cavani to feck off. Literally changed their season the minute he walked through the door
Quick look on redcafe and they all want reserves playing Tuesday night.
Anyone who thinks they’ll going full strength then to keep pressure on city is mad... just won’t happen.
...
That Watkins yellow for diving means that a precedent has been set and any further simulation in the box from here on by any player from any team means a yellow, right? RIGHT?
Well, United's players were diving for most of the game didn't see any of them getting even a yellow card. So, don't get your hopes up.
Au contraire.
I believe the rule is being correctly applied now in that all non MUFC players should be given a yellow card, even if there is contact ("the contact was not sufficient, he was already on his way down..."). While all MUFC players should not be given yellows, but pelanties instead.
The only problem with the rule as it stands right now is that it is not fair to those MUFC players who fall outside the box, and thereby miss out on being awarded the pelanty. That is one amendment that would go a long way in making the game fairer, and also allow us to watch Bruno Fernandes perfect his hop skip score routine further.
The game is not perfect, but I believe it is going in the right direction.
Great ideas there. It goes without saying I expect our front three to all pick up yellow cards on Thursday.
...
Won’t someone PLEASE give Antonio bigger shorts?!
Utd win was a good result for us I think gives them a reason to go hard vs Leicester
Why do they need to do that when they'll have an official that will ignore any handballs in their area, send an opposition player off and award them randomly penalties before giving them every decision in the game.
We haven't seen it yet, but it's coming; Taylor smashing one into the top corner for them on 104 minutes after a tumescent 0-0.
If it was us in their position and we fielded a weakened side I'd go fecking mental. There is no guarantee that City get the 3 pts they need in the next two away games.
...
Check the pre game thread on redcafe ... they’re not thinking about city, only resting players to do us over.
Tuesday will be a nothing game for them.
They're just gobshite wools on that forum. Proper Mancs, not wankstains from Cornwall, want to keep the pressure on City until the league is gone. I'm married to a proper Manc so I speak from what I see/am told.
No matter how much we hate the Mancs, if we were in the position to catch the bitters for the title, we'd want us to win every game.
Exactly.
I’d have United winning the league over City if it meant we got top four. I care about Liverpool being successful, anything else is secondary.
Woah there! Need to think about that one a bit. United win the league and we get top 4? Not comfortable with that.
why not? You'd rather Utd get CL and us be in EL or ECL then?
Seriously? You would prefer us to miss out on CL and all the problems that would bring?
Nail on head. Anyone who puts stopping another team winning something over the best interests of their club is not a supporter, they're either a dickhead or an Evertonian.
This club needs to play in the CL, its where we belong.
Not comfortable with United winning the league full stop. Yes would like us always to be in the CL but that's not quite the same as winning a trophy, it just means we have qualified and got some extra cash. But they get a trophy in their cabinet.
As I said not sure about that. Will have a cup of tea and a think about it.
There really is nothing to think about. We've lost in the region of £80 million this season from Anfield being empty, we have a wage bill around £350 million, we need new players, we need all the money we can get.
It isn't just "some extra cash" - it is a very large amount of cash *and* pulling power - at a minimum, not qualifying for the CL would cost us £50m, which would CRIPPPLE our ability to strenghten our squad - something this season has shown is needed due to a general lack of depth and over reliance on our front 3, all of whom are already 29 AND 2 of whom will miss 4-6 weeks mid-season for the AFCON.
...
The last remaining "tough" game for West Ham. Just for laughs, I would love to see them make the Champions League.
Imagine Mbappe or Messi vs. West Ham.
If City, as unlikely as it is, lose their last few games and Utd could’ve won it but spited themselves then I think they all go mad so I don’t think they should give a feck if we get top 4 until it’s over.
Losing to Leicester hands the title to City. If they then beat us then City lose to Newcastle, there would be fecking murder in Manchester.
If Utd beat Leicester and then us then the gap is down to just 4 points before city play again and anything could happen then. Surely they’ve got to go for it against Leicester
That's it exactly. All of a sudden they then cannot afford a slip up and Newcastle away won't be easy, fat head would love to help Fergie win the league again, the bitters will go all out to help their best mates last day and Brighton can cause an upset.

If they do get to within 4, Paddy Power might offer me a couple of hundred cash out on my bet that the Mancs win the league, 100/1 odds I got.
These fecking commentators... "Lets hope they are not feeling the pressure."
Trying to will West Ham into the Champions League. They would be actively trying to heap pressure on them if it was United in our place.
..

1-0 to the shite.
Come on you Blues
Go on the Bitters
Cheering everton goals is never fun...but, here we are
I wouldn’t say I was cheering. In fact I was going to slag off Richarlison for some brainless play before.
Ref seems to be giving everything Everton's way, so that's good.

Stunning levels of self-pity. Persecution complex write large, across an entire fan base. It's so pathetically weak. Are they not embarrassed?

They must be forgetting Salah’s dive against City, to say they never get penalties is laughable.

Those were the quotes that caught my eye as well. Getting worked up about a hypothetical scenario where you're denied a penalty. Seems an awful way to go through the day

It's quite amazing. I thought they got over it after they won the league and the CL, but nope.

Right? Must be stressful! Mind you, I still laugh at that RAWKite who lost an argument to his imaginary Manc mate!

TBF to RAWK, they are generally less bitter than some other forums, looking at blue moon and arsenalmania here.

AM has posters complaining about the penalty and how it shouldn’t have been given.

They do indulge in record levels of self pity though.

They go on and on about the penalties Utd get, yet they forget this...

Liverpool were awarded a hat-trick of penalties at Old Trafford in a match against us a few years back.

Imagine if that was us at Anfield being awarded a hat-trick of penalties?
They would storm the pitch!

Just for the benefit of any scousers checking in here;

You must acknowledge that the same players can't play Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, without there being injuries galore? There is no recovery time.

If you spread the load, for the greatest return, you would choose to have a strong team for 2 games with resting time in between, rather than 2 games so close together, or prioritize 1 over 2.

Only after that, can we consider how fecking hilarious it is to have the opportunity to feck you over, in 2 consecutive games.:lol::lol:

They and all Liverpool fans should direct their anger towards our terrible finishing against Newcastle/Leeds, and the run of 6 home defeats in a row, not United being forced to rotate due to a ridiculous fixture schedule.

Let's see if the RAWK consensus is this rational!

This line of thinking is presumably why you are not on RAWK!
