Check out captain obvious over here at RAWK

That team is specifically picked to feck up our chances of getting 4th if possible. Leicester in it next season won't be a threat if it came to a head to head. Added benefit of starving Liverpool of a bit of cash.

As a Chelsea fan I’m not too upset because we’re still in a great position, but it is indeed pretty fecked up that United fans get a game postponed, face no punishment at all really, and then essentially throw a hugely important match here in the top 4 race that could screw over multiple other teams.

    Looking at the team sheet:
    De Gea
    Greenwood - Bailly - Mata - Amad
    Telles
    Matic - Williams
    Van de Meek
    Tanuzebe - Elanga
Nailed it! Looking forward to a Williams midfield master class.

You'll regret this when we win tonight.

Wow did not expect that lineup! Looking forward to seeing the youngsters. No big deal if we lose if it helps Leicester get top four over Liverpool!

I was surprised it wasn't played the next day on Monday.

Other than that not sure what anyone could have done.

Leicester with just 1 change from the 3-1 FA Cup quarter final win against United a few weeks ago. Thomas for Evans.

United have 4 remaining starters from that game. Telles, De Beek, Matic, Greenwood.

Brilliantly exciting to see some of these players but for the love of god please allow them some understanding of the fact they've never played together and are against a very good side fighting for top 4. We need 3 pts to secure second and I expect it won't be tonight

The only reason this isn’t a punishment is because we got the job done before now. It would be a massive punishment if we hadn’t wrapped up top 4 already.

What you expect us to do? Full strength in all games?

The punishment is no different to an opponent getting a red card late in the game and missing the next match against your rivals.

The absurd schedule we were given would be a punishment if it weren’t for the fact that we have several more points than everyone else bar City. If we were in Leicester or West Ham’s spot right now this schedule would kill us.

Neither of whom are strikers let alone able to compete physically with premier league centre backs.
Yes. dont really want goals today.. get minutes on the ball... go up to the box and pass it gently to Kasper.

We can do what we want we settled our place.

This is the punishment from the premier League they hurt us with a tight schedule but really only hurting the chasing pack

What's fecked up is that instead of moving another fixture go accommodate the rearranged match, the PL instead shoves it in them middle of an already congested period.

Yeah it definitely has nothing to do with PL scheduling 4 games in 8 days despite better options. This evil Ole wants to screw other teams evidently.

To be fair I've always found it pretty fecked up that a KGB spy is allowed to run a football club, but the way the F.A. run things isn't so far off. I wonder if they'd fine us for not putting out our 'strongest team' and if we'd contest it.

Having the Glazers as owners is enough punishment already.

United would have played close to full strength for this game if it was fixed for Thursday and Liverpool game played Sunday or Monday. The Premier league showed no regard to player welfare and basically forced United to play tonights weakened line up.

    Tell that the F.A.
No sane club in the world would risk injuries for the upcoming important fixtures in a game like this

Didn’t you just play Kepa in a league match?

If Liverpool or Chelsea don’t finish in the top four, they have absolutely nobody to blame but themselves.

    Red Card for Casemiro!
    DDG: £22.5m
    Telles: £13.5m
    Bailly: £34m
    Tuanzebe: Academy
    Williams: Academy
    Matic: £40m
    VDB: £35m
    Mata: £40m
    Elanga: Academy
    Diallo: £20m
    Greenwood: Academy

    That's still a £205m starting lineup.

Bench is, shockingly, only £54m more expensive.

    Henderson: Academy
    Lindelof: £31.5m
    Shaw: £34m
    AWB: £49.5m
    Bruno: £49.5m
    McT: Academy
    Pogba: £94.5m
    Cavani: Free
    Rashford: Academy

I know it comes down to less than half if you check value by years.

Sorry but this is not true. It is a big punishment for us but luckily we have already enough points. Nevertheless we are more or less forced to throw one game away. You can't say it is no punishment just because we already wrapped top 4.

Honestly, it's such braindead an argument to use against United that I thought ot could only happen on RAWK.

We don't have much option in terms of the schedule. Three games in five days, you've got to rotate for the middle one. The Premier League chose to punish us with the schedule, but in reality it has punished the other teams battling for top four more.
