Apologies for abrupt post

Question for me is if he is a Rashford or a Chong. Not sure if anyone can really answer that question until he gets a run of games. But another of our exciting young chargers who I will be keenly following.

He's got bursts of acceleration, robustness and not very frail so definitely not Chong. He reminds me a bit of Martial when he used to play on the left wing.

I haven't really watched him myself either but I've seen a few comparisons with Martial.
He's more Moussa Diaby than Martial IMO. Has electric pace and can dribble at pace with the ball completely under his spell. It'll be interesting to see how he transitions to first team football, because with his pace/attributes, he could give us a genuine winger threat, which I don't believe we've had since Nani left.

Don’t often watch u23’s but when I do he always looks decent. With us crying out for wide players, does anyone who regularly watches u23’s think he’s worthy of a go in the first team?

He's talented but a while off being ready, in my opinion.

We won't know unless we try. In my opinion he is better than James. Some people didn't think Rashford or Mac was ready. He is certainly too good for the unders 23's

Assuming we are still in a comfortable position I'd like to see him and Amad get minutes off the bench.

It would be good to see the young wingers get a chance to strut their stuff and both have pace to burn so it would suit an away from home counter attacking game.

What a day for him! Chuffed to bits, hopefully he can make an impression.

Absolutely delighted with this, was someone who immediately impressed me when I watched him play in the U18s

Just play with confidence. Of course he isn't ready yet, but he still has the tools to hurt them.

Best of luck to him. He's a very talented lad. With the team we're lining up with I'm not expecting a vintage performance but I'm looking forward to seeing how Greenwood, Elanga and Amad link up.

Looked out of his depth. Lacked the physical strength to retain possession. Shame.

Perhaps he will get another chance in a few years' time when he is ready.

Disappointed that he didn't try to beat his man more often. Had a good chance to use his pace once but turned back home. I can understand him being more careful and wanting to play it safe, but maybe should've used his strengths instead.

Back from injury and already starting for the first team. Seriously well done to the lad.

Some good decisions to run past defenders, just no proper strength developed just yet.

I think Greenwood had a similar problem at the start of last season. He didnt look ready, but Ole kept giving chances and Greenwood clicked into gear at some point with a run of goals in his europa league games and then in the premier league too. So I'd relax about the first couple of chances he gets even if he doesnt look ready

He didnt do anything that really stood out but there is context. A first start against a team that will finish in the top 4 when surrounded by mostly players who have rarely started this season.
I remember Ronaldos debut and he was something special but he was also playing surrounded by a settled set of first team regulars.
I wonder how he would have looked if he was playing in the first choice set of players. it does have an impact.

A nervy start then settled but played quite safe. Standard debut for a young player really.

Looked nervous in first half but hopefully he will have more confidence next time.

Nothing to write home about either way, which is absolutely fine at this stage. Of course he was a little nervy but he worked hard, kept it simple and didn't look too out of place at that level, imo. More to come from him, I'm sure, and great to see him get some gametime.

Knocked off the ball easier than Amad but made some good runs that didn’t get picked out and tracked back well.

No one going to comment about how rapid he looked?

Leicester defended and pressed us well, with us being shite at holding the ball so there was little opportunity for him and Amad to get on the ball or run into spaces.

Will be interesting to see how he develops.
